You won't be able to..the phone gets bricked right after the reboot after rooting..and you've only got a few moments to play around with your root before that reboot happens..
You may actually get the S6 / S7 Ringtones, SMS and Notification sounds off of some Ringtone App, but UI Sounds, I'd say impossible, for now.

What UI sounds cannot be changed? Seems to me I can change most of mine --- unless you are talking about the beep for volume-up/down of course....

Right..to some extent you can..like the SPen sounds..
Maybe some other UI interactions?

[Q] Camera Shutter Sound

do we have anything on the camera shutter sound front? Id really love to silence it for good because not only is it abnoxious, but its also loud! preferably something simple for us who have the phones intact with all the bloatware and not rooted? plain old official out of the box stuff.

Without root ... i don`t think so
U must modify /system/CSC/others.xml and add
Code:
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
with root it's possible by using wanam exposed.

Because in some countries it is forbidden to make "silent photo" or "spy photo" that is why they disable that menu

PS: I needed to reboot my phone before the menu item in the cam options appeared.

Sorry for asking, but just to be sure: Have you run the ESS app and checked the 'Disable STREAM_SYSTEM_ENFORCED' checkbox?
It was definitely working on my S4 mini with stock firmware (at that time).

Anyone know how to correct the low System Audio volume levels?

Basically, on the Moto X Pure if you deleted System/Vendor/Etc folder it would remove all of Motorola's dumb ascending audio crap. This made all system audio, notifications, and ringtones play at a fantastic loud volume as they should. However, doing this same trick on the Z Play does not solve it like it did on the Pure.
Does anyone know how to correct this? Being able to actually hear the lock/unlock sounds, touch sounds, would be great... o.o
Thanks,

Got rid of ascending ringtones, but did not fix the silent notifications (when you go to settings, sounds, notifications none of them play). On stock based ROM with no sound mods.
Flashing arise fixes it, but breaks safetynet :S

Also, when I get off of a phone call the System Audio volume levels are normal again and loud as they should be, but only for about 30-90 seconds and then they go ultra quiet again... what on earth. o.o

I've had goofy glitches like what you described on stock nougat. Flashing arise seems to fix all audio related issues, so whatever it overwrites is what's causing problems. I would say just flash arise and enjoy, but it modified system and break safetynet

[MOD][MAGISK]Change Keyboard Sounds

Since I thought that the keyboard sounds inside Android stock are pretty awful, I made this handy Magisk module to change whenever you like, it doesn't do anything special but I think that if you really like to customize Android, you really should do in every possible way as easily as possible. I kinda wanted to make an app to do this but I couldn't make it work for some reason.
Download latest Magisk here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
As of now it's working fine in Magisk v16.0, it should work with betas too but I haven't tested it
If you need any keyboard sound in particular just ask for it! I'll try to feature as many as I could
Keyboard sounds available:
Stock Android Keyboard sounds
iOS Keyboard Sounds
Samsung Keyboard Sounds
Windows Phone Keyboard Sounds
Thanks for this magisk module, it's working as intended really great

Amazing! Exactly what I am looking for such long time.
Maybe you can have an alternative with Sony Xperia keyboard sound, similar to PS4 sound.
The keyboard sound is different on OOS and AOSP roms, could you make a zip for default sound on AOSP roms?

Lol really strange how I have randomly come across this. I recently updated to Oreo and decided to change some UI sounds. I downloaded the Pixel sounds of alarms, ringtones, notification and UI sounds. I changed them with root explorer and set the permissions sounds so much better. I also changed the lock sounds as didn't like the stock 1s.

It's so weird that we have to rely on root to change such a small thing like the sounds our keyboards make, maybe in newer releases of Android a developer will think about this

changing default stock rom sounds?

I just got my hands on a pixel 3xl (Android 9) coming from a Galaxy S5 on Android 5. I know that with Android 5 on my old Galaxy device I could overwrite the default ROM sounds that were located in /system/media
.. unless I'm overlooking something I believe I have found the pixel 3xl's location of the default ROM sounds located in /product/media and I can't seem to mount that location to read/write with my root explorer...
I'm wanting to change the ROMs default sound such as the charging sounds, low battery sounds etc. Is it possible to do this without being able to mount the /product to read/write?! What am I missing?

DUDE!!!!! YOU ARE FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!
That worked perfectly!!
For anyone else flashing this, I noticed that due to my font on my pc, sometimes its hard for my to distinguish upper and lower case letters...and on I few of the NFC sounds I see that I accidentally had CAPS lock on so some of the capitalization is reversed and the first flash resulted in two files names; the old file and the incorrectly capitalized one (my fault!)
I fixed this by uninstalling the module, fixing the capitalization within the zip and reflashing...
I do have two questions tho, if I decide I want different sounds, can I just replace the ones in your zip and reflash?
and where can I throw you a tip?!!

Want to Change S-Pen Sounds without having to use another app

The Note 20 Ultra is Great, but I would like to be able to change the S-Pen Sounds without having to install another App or a Launcher.
I would likento know where the Hidden Folder would be for the S-Pen Sounds so I can Change the Sound for when it is removed as well as it being put back.

I'm going to just go assume you'd need root to change the audio files that are most likely located in the system partition.
Do you have the Exynos or Snapdragon variant?
Tried to on the 10+, no joy.
Be nice if there be a Good Lock apk to do this...
It's a new phone.... you're not gonna find a way this soon in the game to do it without some other app. Do they even have root yet for it? Cause those folders you need root to view.

Yea, that was the app I was referring to. Seems decent, just gotta find some good pointers and sounds.
The good thing about Pentastic is you can install it as a standalone, good lock is not required. Pentastic is pretty good fun to use, well worth a try, just to try out new pen removal and insert noises is worth it.
Those looking to add lightsaber sounds to spen, download the lightsaber notification sounds from the zedge and use timbre app to reduce the volume of those files by 50% since they are very loud. 50% less is perfect balance.
I didn't get it on the playstore.. you can down load the apk from other sources.

What My Original Post was referring to was for being able to change the S-Pen Sounds without having to Install ANY other Apps that eat up Space and Resources.
I wish that by going through the System Files somewhere in Android that the S-Pen Sound Files Can be Found and Replaced for Both taking Out the S-Pen and Inserting the S-Pen.
Hopefully the Sounds are in an MP3 Format and can be Swapped without Any Problems and would stay even after Updates.
