@levone1 : Unfortunately this is not the one i m looking for. this is not working in Z1 compact and boot is blank with this one. you have given the same boot animation which is for Z1 but above i had already mentioned that Z1 compact screen resolution is 720*1280 so the boot animation files needs to be converted to 720*1280 size. can you convert this boot animation to 720*1280...?

That's what I tried to do. I just edited the desc.txt file to be 720x1280. I guess it doesn't work on every one...

@levone1 : is it working on your Z1 compact..? to make it work we need to edit all the images present in it.

Open bootanimaton.zip with winrar than drag desc.txt to desktop, then open it any text editor just replace 1080 1920 with 720 1280 then save it and close, now drag it again to zip and choose compression method store and finally hit ok (you can check pictures below)

Great..!

i know what you mean , i think it would fit better if the size was 800x480 instead of 320x480 , but still great job !
*edit*
just tested it on my SGSI-9000 to me it did not need an resize !
it is quite perfect !!!
it's simple , but te sound matches the image perfectly , totaly in sync !
it would be cool if theré would be some text above or under the gate , and i mis your signature you tag man ! it would be the finishing touch !
*edit 2*
it would also be an idea if you put in your first post , 4 which kernel it is suitable , since some kernels has different kind of bootanimation name , 4 axample , Talon and Galaxian-kernel put's it's bootanimation in /system/media ( name is sanim.zip ) and semaphore-kernel in /sysem/media ( name is bootanimation.zip ) .
I made your bootanimation flashable trough CWM , it's working on the Talon-kernel , i am also sure it shall work on the Galaxian-kernel !
It come's with your PowerOn sound and i made the PowerOn sound als as the PowerOff sound .
'Here's the link : http://www.multiupload.com/8LS7ZSBHXY
enjoy !

@ stoske please read my last post , it has an edit .
and i think that making the gate bigger , like 480x800 would not be good because the gate will be like an oval not an perfect cirkel . I looked in to at , made it 480x800 and it did not look good .
Maby it is better if it just stay's this way
good night !

help with bootanimation!

hey guys can somebody help me with this boot animation, it works ok with the preview app. bit blocky, but upload to phone and it just show the old android screen.
I'd say correct filenames- in both part0 and part1 everything "under 10" has 1 digit less (just add 0).
On the other hand- if you want this to be displayed in loop part0 is only necessary, there's no need for part1
confused so do i need to add a extra digit to the numbers under 10?
IMO yes, you have to. I didn't come across any bootanimation which used different lenghts of filenames.
ok changed the numbers used root explorer placed it in system/customize/resource
and still get the android rather than my animation.
Shouldn't bootanimation be placed in system/media/ or data/local/?
i read that but im sure the original was from resource so i just plonked it back any way ill give that a try! cheers

Creating/Installing Custom Bootanimation For Android

C r e a t i n g/ I n s t a l l i n g
C u s t o m B o o t a n i m a t i o n F o r A n d r o i d
Step 1 :- CREATE ANIMATION IMAGES
Open Photoshop(or any other image editor).Make the background color black and then place the image layer above background layer and make its opacity 0% and save it as PNG named 0000 and then keep on increasing the opacity (Remember name for First Image should be 0000.png,for second 0001.png,for third 0002.png and so on.Save them in 240x320 resolution(your device's resolution)
TIP:-Use splatter or any other brushes:-Same as above but the difference is you will not change the opacity it should be 100% and the splatters on the image will increase with new one.(IT LOOKS QUITE IMPRESSIVE)
Step 2:-
Make two folder named part0 and part1. Put your images created in those folder. For Ex. 0000.png to 0009.png in part0 and 0010.png to 0070.png in part1.
Step3 :-
Create desc.txt
and write:-
240 320 24
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1
and save it
------------------------------------------------------------------
EXPLANATION of 240 320 24
p 1 0 part0 :-
240 320(your device's resolution)
24(frames per second.......higher the no. faster will your bootanimation)
p(pointer to tell it to look at new commands)
1(no. of times this section of bootanimation will play....0=infinite)
0(Pause....0=no pause 10=10sec pause repeating or moving on next line)
part0(folder in which your animation images are contained)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[/B] Step 4:-
Create a folder named bootanimation and in that put part0,part1 and desc.txt.ZIP the contents of bootanimation folder(REMEMBER COMPRESSION METHOD SHOULD BE STORE)
Step 5:-
Copy bootanimation.zip to your sd card.
Step 6:-
Using Root Explorer(or any other alternatives) copy bootanimation.zip to system\media (Remember change mount to R/W)
STEP 7 :-
Reboot,ENJOY and SHOW-OFF!

give a black screen while booting up.

Well I actually need your help. You can send me the link of any video which you want as your boot animation(any format) but make sure that the video is under 30sec and of good quality. Try to get me videos which are in potrait mode so that I can make potrait bootanimations. Check the uploaded Image(1 frame of the video) and suggest me if I Should create a boot animation with that.
