booloader locked, pattern bug and no recovery access
Hi!
I just got myself into big trouble. As I wanted to use my 1+3 for work, I wanted to bring it into its original status. Coming from Ressurection Rom, I wiped it, and intalled the original rom from the oneplus website.
With that it also got unrooted. Then I wiped it completely (no backups etc.), but decided to stay with twrp as I thought IT of my company won´t recognise it. But then I had to relock the bootloader. so I used the Oneplus3&3T Toolkit v4.7U and locked the bootloader.
So and now I am stuck here, as it seems I got this bug that my pattern for unlock doesnt work anymore AND the device cannot boot into recovery.
Bootloader is stated as locked.
Please, can anyone help me with this?
Many thanks in advance!

Use the toolkit to try to go into TWRP recovery and if that doesn't work then flash it with the toolkit otherwise flash stock recovery

Device will not flash any recovery in fastboot

My device decided to randomly encrypt itself after using the CM12 port that is available. How this happened is beyond me. Anyhow, I tried to do a factory reset... Nothing would mount because the device was encrypted. So, I thought it would be a great idea to flash a different recovery. By now, I have flashed over 6 recovery images (all different) even the stock. Fastboot says that the transfer went through successfully only to find when I try to boot into recovery, it boots into fastboot instead.
Yes the device is unlocked.
I don't know if there is a ROM on it, but when i try to start it normally, it wont boot past the splash screen (before the boot animation)
Please help, as this is the only phone I am stuck with for a long time
Here's a thread with people that have a similar problem. There are some suggestions of what to do in there, but personally none of them worked for me. I ended up having to send it back to Amazon.

Never factory restore when you have a Custom ROM as it isn't made to reset with the devices stock hardware and causes things to go crazy.
Always use a nandroid of the original system with root, then unroot, then factory restore from that.
Also. YouTube search - HTC Desire 816 root unlock bootloader.
Use the .exe recovery from that video in fastboot at least twice without exiting fastboot or rebooting.
Now try the recovery.

When you were on the stock recovery, could you wipe partitions?
Also what model do you have?

NO OS installed!

I've managed to unlock bootloader and install TWRP, so far so good and then i try to install superuser then a custom rom it asked to wipe data(recommended) which i did then i got this message just before i rebooted. NO OS installed!.
Now i'm stuck in htc logo screen please help.
Are you running TWRP 2.8.6.4?
I had the same issue you had when running 2.8.6.0 because I've done this so many times, I just jumped in and didn't read the info in the TWRP thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/orig-development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-t3066720
You can hold Vol Down and power to reboot. Keep holding Vol Down to get back to bootloader / download mode / recovery.. etc.
There really is no reason to install superuser if you are going to immediately install a custom ROM. You are rooting the existing ROM then immediately erasing that ROM in favor a pre-rooted one... makes no sense unless you were needing to boot to that ROM, and back stuff up first with root permissions.. but I didn't get that impression.

Just ignore rather confusing message.
The first boot does take a while .
Go make a coffee , Android should be running when you drank coffee.

Can't flash Community Build

Phone is bone stock. No root, locked, no custom anything...
Was gonna try the Community Build, but I cannot connect to the phone via ADB in Recovery mode. If the phone is booted up, I can access it, but once I go down to the stock Recovery mode I cannot connect to the phone and therefore cannot sideload anything...
I saw several people in the other thread with the same problem, but can't seem to find a fix for it...
You first need to unlock the phone's bootloader by going into the "fastboot/bootloader" screen and not the stock recovery. Volume UP + Power Button.
Unlock it. Then sideload the community build through adb sideload from stock recovery.
I'm unlocked and still can't do it

Bootloader locks itself?

Hello guys, I really can't understand what's going on: I unlocked my bootloader and then flashed TWRP. It worked and, after I opened it, I made a reboot and started Android. The phone got stuck on 4 dots loading screen for hours so I went to recovery, made a wipe and then Android started well... But when I got back to bootloader it showed locked with still TWRP recovery.
I just have tried to get into recovery to check again and now there's stock recovery.
What's the problem here?
I supposed that I could fix this problem by doing every step (flash recov, flash root rom kernel) without launching Android or it will stay in loading screen loop.
Help please! :crying:
You forgot to add that your motherboard has been replaced and you have no rpmb in device state.
Only one thing you can do is RMA phone again

one way (i try'd it succesfully) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68836703&postcount=7
and some next posts
second way (may be more easy) https://www.reddit.com/r/nexus5x/comments/5hj0r0/bootloop_after_lg_replaced_mainboard_bootloader/
and (may be more more easy) in comments of this post:
"I think I found an easier way: 1. fastboot unlock 2. fastboot flash all partitions from stock 3. fastboot flash twrp 4. reboot to twrp (evtl 2x) 5. cancel the password screen and do a factory reset. 6. after that you can simply flash supersu
No different boot.img or special su needed."
note: you need "fastboot unlock" every time before flash (Because it's relocks every time)

recovery won't open

good day,
i have an HTC 10 factory unlocked, i had the bootloader unlocked through HTCdev. i then flashed the latest TWRP recovery, attempting to enter revovery....i cant. i din't get the triangle thingy what so ever,it jus displayed the screen like when you're about to enter bootloader mode. then it would restart after that, almost brick it cuz it didn't wanna boot at one pointing time :crying::crying: .i've rooted m7,8 & 9 and never came across something like that. i can't even flash over new rom cuz cmd is given error: can't open recovery. before i attempted bootloader unlock via htcdev, i tried sunshine jus to avoid the hassle and when it was attempting to give me temproot, it failed....3 times so that was useless, leaving me to go manual. any help on this?
Wrong thread. But sounds like recovery didn't flash. Make sure your flashing to recovery partition. Search thread for toolkit, will make it easier.
Fastboot flash recovery recovery. IMG @download mode
I used this tool to safely and successfully install ROM and Recovery.. Maybe you could try..
Thanks to the developer..

Not sure if this helps, but I get the same type of issue when booting to recovery, except my phone is bone stock.
What works for me is right after the symbol comes up, press Vol Up and Power at the same time. If I time it right, recovery mode comes up. Not sure if it will work with TWRP, since I've never used it.
