hi guys, first sorry for create this thread in bad section pray mod to move this thread in good section.
there is a rom unofficial or official that is clean with no changes asus ? I like the Rom issue by google without modification but clean ?
I read around that some rom version 550 or selfies work on the 500 but I did not quite understand so I would like some help if you can , thanks a lot .
No roms for ZE500KL. Just be happy with the ****ty and laggy ASUS UI they have provided. None is developing CM. Development for this device is dead. RIP.
i think ze500kl has same spec with 5.5" model, only the ram different, but i dont get it why nobody make rom for ze500kl. well at least ze500kl has root and xposed framework available around so its not really that bad. its a shame this devices has no custom rom available, because it(2400mah model) has very very good battery life.

You may be wondering why these devices haven't received Lollipop yet. The issue is, yet again, the MT8389 processor, which is based off of the MT6589.
I.nfraR.ed posted yesterday on the main CyanogenMod on MTK devices thread:
I.nfraR.ed said:
Do you see anyone working on CM for 6589? Most of the people moved to other chipsets.
Maybe chrmhoffmann and DerTeufel are still working on this, but I don't know anyone else who has not moved to newer device.
I have moved to Redmi Note 2.
For lollipop there's no mt6589 source and although it might be possible, it would be enormous amount of work. I don't have so much free time and have a full-time job after all.
I can't leave my regular job just to work on side projects.
So, no...unless someone else is on to development for Lenovo A820/A830, then don't expect fully working CM or ROMs based on Android 5+.
If for some reason I leave my regular job and have some "free" months, then I will be able to work on this project, because I still have my A820 with me. Not likely to happen.
My KK kernel is public, so anyone can continue from where I left.

Development support for the MT6589 has been (mostly) lost, and consequently, so has support for the MT8389. This means that, until a compatible kernel for 5.x.x appears, the likelihood of both of the devices being upgraded to CM12 or 5.x.x is very low.
That doesn't mean it's not possible, however; simply unlikely.
According to the specs the A3000 has a MT8125. Is support for this also gone?

Yes, I'm afraid this is the Wi-Fi only version of the MT8389.
I was on it..but moved to another..not at all able to boot it up..now there is a hope because of 3.4.67 kernel..again working on it???
CM12+ for A3000-H
Looking forward to CM12+ on our beloved A3000-H:highfive:
Hi guys, I have just finished doing my A3300 with Cyan's 5.1.1, all is working except for camera
Will our amazing HOX get the 6.0 ? Is somebody working on it ?
we hope that :crying:
Since the lg4xhd with the same chipset got it,somebody must just port it but there are no active hox devs left ...porting is easy, but on qc and tegra you need linux to extract the system folder :/ I have ported some mediatek roms and its really easy but on mediatek system folder isnt a .new.dat file, its just a folder.
Anyway,Im currently using slimlp and its the only lollipop rom with good multitasking,I recommend it.
PS:Tomorrow I might upgrade to the one m7,I saw one guy selling it for 40 euros just because it has no os installed,it would be a beast deal if I get it. EDIT: Dang,it was useless stuck in fastboot crap.
@teemo can you give me tutorial how to make a Resurrection Remix from source for HOX
yes we will soon i have started the work on it
Hi guys!
I'm not allowed to start a thread in the right place so I am posting here.

Likely not, but why bother. If this device gets traction there will be CM for it but I'm prety sure that won't happen before Xiaomi releases source code. I dearly hope they do that soon, as I've hastily order a Mi 5S yesterday. I hope I'll be able to flash some closer to AOSP ROM as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure I don't really want to use MIUI as my daily driver. I'll surely use it until something better comes along and after I get Google Apps on it.
If someone eventually puts together a CM rom for this device I will try it of course. I try all Roms for whatever device I am on.
That said, I admit that MIUI is not only classy looking, but offers enough customization options to satisfy any modder - my opinion of course.
I have unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp and the latest custom MIUI rom from here and rooted the device. I honestly don't feel like I'm missing anything with this device.
4gb ram, 128gb storage, Snapdragon 821! I easily get about 5.5 hrs sot.
I really like this device. I'm very satisfied.

Can you provide a link of the ROM you flashed which you refer to as ROM from here?

I'm also interested in CM for Mi5s
Me too interested but xiaomi havent released kernel source
Yes, very much needed !!!
I don't want to discredit the miracles all friends here doing.Really, some ROMs can turn our phones into spaceships(!)with all those features. But if i'll see another cm-based rom here,i will slit my wrist(not to mention that CM-based roms have issues AND they're not compatible with some system ZenUI apps, like flip cover, radio or Splendid)! There are some really nice looking "skins"of Android firmware, like Miui or EMUI,with really cool features, too! Will someone give them a shot?!

You know, our phone is x86 based and this is a major reason why we'll never got such roms like MIUI, LewaOS or EMUI it's rather dificalt to build it or to port it to our phone.
We don't see miui because the patchrom is only on android 4.4 which our device never got so we don't have drivers for that and it is really hard to port from another phone since the zf2 has and x86 intel processor

first of all your thread is in wrong place
I don't get you guys i mean you are talking like we can easily build port bla bla ... but we are not doing
i mean why you guys try to do that by yourself instead of commanding us to do that
yeah miui just got a patch rom for 5.0 now one of our devs is trying to bring it up when we had chance believe me my friend we are trying that just before you tell us
As i said,i don't want to descredit the huge work you're all doing and definitely not going to "command" anyone. And it seems i will never understand where is the right place to post here!I'm glad to hear this is going to happen!Thank you for your reply and the hard work you're all doing, really!
I wonder: Why is this thread on development section?
I personally agree with @Nyks45.
MIUI's patchrom source is available (and updated to use 6.0 as base), but I don't think devs could port MIUI to our x86 devices, since patchrom files are for arm (and arm64 (?)).

MIUI8's patchrom uses 6.0 as base ROM.
EDIT:
By the way, if someone could manage to port it without any major problems, I myself would greatly appreciate it in any way.
Sent from my ASUS_Z00A using XDA Labs
but can we port Nexus experience rom? just asking if possible
Well,
CM13 Is A Very Stable rom so why can't we use CM sources combined with MIUI?
@adaa1262
You can't use the CM13 MIUI roms because the compilations with MIUI are for Snapdragon processors not for Intel
Each processor type have their own tree for the builds
Please provide some links for good ROMs for model J200G . Just installed TWRP. I found many models here , and iam a bit confused. Is there any nougat ROMs or do I need to stay with marshmallow ROMs ?
I don't think there are good custom roms like lineage or RR for j200g. They are either ports or themed ROMs and not worth the trouble.

That's sad. It was for my brother's phone. Can you please provide names of themed ROM. I will look for the bugs.. Just name them. Thanks
You need to use search function man. Heres a start:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/search/forum/6450?query=J200G
Make sure you install ROMs where its explicitly stated that the ROM is for J200G. Roms for other variants of J2 won't work and you might end up bricking.
But not worth the hassle man, seriously. They are ports of touchwiz so look almost the same minus loosing current working stock features like FM, camera etc idk. Unless there's some Lineage based ROM, I'm not installing the available ROMs. And lineage seems impossible because the device has exynos chipset
