Looks awesome! Does it make it harder to use the touch buttons and FP button?
One of these, in case form in order to add drop protection would be great. Looks cool as is, but definitely can't rock a phone without a case.

looks very cool, but i notice that as well. just having a tempered glass protector on mine for awhile was kinda thick for the fingerprint scanner.
Quality looks horrible, and the person who invented the idea of the circle sticking to the lens glass should be moved to the moon.

I assure you the quality of toastmade skins is top notch compared to any other vinyl shins on the market. They are real wood veneer and hold up quite well on your device. I had one on my s7 edge and loved the look and feel. As far as the front skin I would be concerned about the home button cause even on my s7 once skin was installed home button was inset a little and the HTC 10 button in already inset with nothing installed on the front. Also the lens glass cover is optional.

Maybe in the wood stickers world this is top notch. It really bad in my opinion when I see pictures like this.
Also the thickness of the front panel makes phone sensor and capacitivie buttons likely unusable - why covering your phone with something that ruins usability?

The front panel is optional but I did have the front installed on my s7e which has the capacitive buttons and they all worked.

I've used Toast products before, and the quality of their products is top notch. The cutouts are excellent. However, I wouldn't use the front portion on this as it looks like it makes reaching for the back, menu, and fingerprint sensor much more difficult. Also note that the wood is thick enough to prevent using a case with, but it does over some minor drop protection (really minor, but it's there).

Thanks! The wood is only ~0.7mm thick, so it doesn't conflict with the buttons. :good:

Thank you for the support. I haven't had any issues with the front on my S7 - the veneer is only ~0.7mm thick. Unfortunately we can't bevel the edges since the cutouts are so small and oblong shaped, but the edges aren't sharp or anything.

Highest quality wood skin you can get. The laser scored lines have to placed just right to enable the wood to stay smooth and wrap the curves. The lens cover is optional, but it helps protect the glass.

Thanks, and you'd be surprised at how well they protect. When you drop the phone, the wood takes the hit and the phone remains unscathed. After numerous drops, the wood will get nicked up but natural materials age gracefully with use. Unlike a case, it doesn't add bulk, and you don't have to worry about sand and crap getting inside and scratching your phone. I've also seen cases dent aluminum for no reason, and they're prone to failing where they snap together. I literally just saw a lady drop her cased phone and it popped out. Phone was fuct!

Laser-scored lines are the only way to get real wood to wrap around curves, unless you're carving into a block of wood or something.
Not sure why the button cutouts look so deep - our wood veneer is only ~0.7mm thick, so it doesn't conflict with the buttons. They probably had to shop out all my fingerprints from playing with it. I was barely touching the buttons and they didn't fail once. Also rock a front on my S7 with zero issues. :good:

A lot of people have talked their fear of the camera lens becoming scratched.
It got me thinking. Would part of screen protector work? Would it affect the camera?
I remember having a Zagg InvisibleShield for an old iPod Nano (full body) and the circular cutout for the middle of the wheel was quite like a lens cover.
So, maybe someone could get something like this to market, if there was enough demand. With the right tools, it could be made by cutting holes in screen protectors.
I also saw this, which echoes my sentiments nicely.
Isn't the lens glass Gorilla Glass too? If it is Gorilla then no point having a shield.

why is it no point? try to rub some fine sand on the display and see how it looks then. keys would probably not hurt it nor knifes but some fuxing sand could give you pretty nice scratches. try it if you don't believe me.

I can understand your concern, but I definitely wouldn't put anything like a screen protector directly on the lens. Any kind of coating can cause serious degredation of image quality.
I wanted to know about this too, there are scratches on my DHD lens cover and I don't want to have it on my one x when it comes.

A screen protector on the camera lens will most definitely degrade the photo- and video quality.
One reason I prefer pouches over cases.
i will be looking for a case that puts enough bulk on the back to block contact.

Been trawling through the reviews all day. Even more excited now! Almost all concerns laid to rest except one: The protruding camera lens and it's ease of damage/scratches. One of my favourite sites (that always seen to match my opinions anyway) is Trustedreviews.com, and just finished going over their review, and seen something quite worrying that the reviewer doesn't pick up on. Check out the close up he has taken of the camera lens...

Now it's not just me right? Those are scuffs on the rim and a couple of scratches and what certainly looks like a crack (it's even casting a shadow) on the lens? I am going to e-mail him to ask if he dropped it, but after seeing a demo video of it being in a tumble dryer for 8 hours, I would love to then see a picture of it's camera lens afterwards. Maybe a case is in order when I take this thing outside!

Yea he dropped it. You can see on the casing in the top right corner also.
You don't have a camera that protrudes that much without it being damaged.
A pouch sounds like the best idea, a neoprene one.
Official pouch is leather with microfiber inside - should cover this problem well enough.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
yup pouch is the easy solution, when you take it out place it on the pouch instead of touching direci the surface
a bit of an expensive (not really if you think what you are covering) solution would be to get one of the screen protectors (clear one so it doesn't affect that much the results of the camera) and try to cut a piece to fit on the camera lens, if possible...

Kind of (entirely) defeats the purpose of putting decent optics in the phone if you're going to stick plastic over the top of it.

On your One X??
that sucks......well, you cant have a camera lens like that without it scratching honestly.
Best to get a pouch or a case that does something to prevent it from being scratched.
And putting a protector on the lens is not a good idea. Degrades photo quality quite a lot
If only there were a way someone could make one that's removable as needed, a la old school cameras, one that would click onto the outer rim and just relax there.
EDIT:

It's a bit obnoxious... but for those to whom it matters, it wouldn't be a horrid idea.

Something like that, but with a smooth surface and better tapered onto the body, would be ideal. Just a mill or two more height than the lens cover glass would be enough... Question is, would that be enough to prevent the speaker dock working?
Something similar to the Case Mate Barely There case I had for the Desire HD would do the trick. The Desire HD lense also stuck out, but it was indented slightly by a raised metal rim, unlike the HTC One X which is completely flat. Even this slight indentation prevented the lense from being scrathed when putting the phone down.
The case was very thin and slight so hopefully Case Mate will be coming out with something similar for the HTC One X, but until it is available I'm going to get an official pouch as I'm terrified not only of scrathing the lense, but even the coating on the back of the housing which seems incredibly soft

I have this and feels like a good quality products. Just waiting for my phone to put it in now. Thick enough to protect against drops but small enough not to add too much additional bulk to the phone. Plus the fact it polishes the screen is great.
Today I received a package from Korea with iFeel screen protector. After unpacking, I saw a envelope green and white box with a photo iFeel Galaxy s3 and specification of tempered glass iFeel and the manufacturer's website (all in Korean) - www.ifeelglass.com .
At the front of the packaging has been specified specification:
a) Mighty screen protection (10H)
b) Screen crack prevention
c) Shatter-proof
d) Anti-scratch
e) Anti-Firgerprint
f) anti-bacterial surface
g) Secured durability
h) EAsy attachment with self-air-bubble-removal
i) Ultra-clear High definition
j) Perfect Performance of Touch Screen
(So says the packaging is that the glass is also resistant to acids, alkalis and temperature fluctuations). I did not wait for anything, and immediately sat down to check what is inside. Packaging of the two parties was covered with hologram seal manufacturer. When opened in the inside can be found:
a) iFeel glass packed with extra packaging, in which so much was quick installation guide.
b) small book manual
c) small microfiber cloth

After opening the package I took out my iFeel glass, which at first glance seemed to be quite thick and tight stiff. After a while I noticed that it is not so rigid as it seems. They can be slightly bent in different directions. I immediately noticed that the glass with a white frame (the ordered) does not cover the entire front of the phone and the cover a little more than my earlier part of the film's simple Puro. All holes (home button, sensors, front camera and light, and cut the letter "Samsung") have been precisely cut. I started the installation. That's what I always do when applying foil and other such things on the phone's screen is good infusions bathroom. In the steamy room dust particles do not "fly" to prevent build-up of dust particles on the screen (if formed micro-bubbles, etc.).
After misting the room I took off my previous film, I cleaned screen carefully and thoroughly with a cloth and installed the glass.
I can not remember when the last time I was able to easily put the film on the screen. The whole took a few seconds and a single air bubble dust or pollen. After applying I tighten glass with cloth that was included.
All very well be imposed. All holes are perfectly matched, nothing was hidden (like the pictures). After removing the protective film has a whole was not so thick. After application can be seen that the glass is thicker than the film (although it is just to protect). It looks very nice, nicely, only the home button is slightly recessed (industry purchase aluminum sticker case) but can easily push it. Sticker available on eBay for $ 5 should completely resolve the problem. Before buying, I read on the forums that the glass is almost identical (according to some people suspect the same factory) as the version of SGP tempered glass, which is also produced in Korea. People complained that the use of glass SGP is often a problem of sensitivity. Due to the layer of adhesive only on the edges of the sensitivity of the screen
deteriorated and many people gave up the security because of the comfort.
With glass iFeel not noticed this problem. When the screen goes to a finger as if the glass was not there. There are no problems with sensitivity, everything comes naturally, text messages you write very well. I'll report after a few days of use. Compared to the previous film, which I can see some significant improvement in terms of use. There is much less fingerprints as on a normal film, and above all, do not leave "rainbow effect" that occurs when standard films. For this one swipe with a cloth, and the whole is perfectly clean, as new sheet of glass. In the normal film you need a little work to a whole was clean. The same transparency seems to me like the film better. The screen looks the same as the SGS3 without film and slides.
In summary - for the very beginning I was happy with my purchase. I approached the glass skeptical because of the reviews of the similar product of SGP, but watching the interesting movie on Youtube I decided to buy one piece of iFeel. A significant improvement with respect to the film normal at the expense of slightly greater thickness (0.4-0.6 mm). My family members at first glance, did not notice that it is glass on display. When the phone is inserted into Slim Cover Case Samsung it looks very nicely. You can only purchase a sticker on the "home" button - not everyone has to like the feeling of touch without sticker. If a glass will proof his parameters like on Youtube, I can be considered as one of the best accessories for your phone.

thanks for the review, there is a few question I need to ask, can you confirm the colour part, is the paint work on the top of the glass or the bottom, I asked because I want a all clear one, and this is not available.
You did mention that the glass is acid resistant, so I was thinking of using some acid of some sort to remove the colour part, may be thinner.
that if the the info is true and add adhesive for full coverage.
If it turns out bad it's only USD 30 or something wasted, still considering this, sgp or xgear for this mod.
can anyone also confirm the paint work is on the top/bottom on the xgear or sgp.
thanks

PROS:
The button adds much needed pop and allows for better home button response!
Home button is made of good materials.
Home button helps with the small gap the glass makes.
Glass is better than plastic
Glass has a nice fit
Glass is very sturdy feeling
Glass has great INDOOR viewing angles
Glass has nice touch response no lag
Glass is THIN!
Glass works with my Otterbox Defender Case!
CONS:
None with button love it
Glass came in yellow but did NOT mention it had Sparkly flakes in it (photos don't really show it because camera sucked).
Glass does have some horizontal pattern only visible in bright light from manufacturing.
Overall Impression:
I like the fit and finish of the glass and love the button. Shipping was fast. The cons are that the glass is sparkly but the advert was mostly KOREAN. So maybe my bad. Not sure if all colors are like that but YELLOW is. SUPER clean screen only time you see the sort of manufacturing cross hatch pattern is in SUPER BRIGHT almost blinding sun. I can live with it. Indoors it looks good but still hate the sparkles lol. I will live with it.
I will probably get the Glass.t screen next and compare.
Overall price and shipping was good. Quality is good on both minus some taste issues with colors.
Hope you enjoyed this review!:good:
is it possible for you to retake pictures of the phone without the case so I can see the edges? the picture is so out of focus that it's hard to tell how big/small the gap is from the edge.

your camera just wasn't focused. Not sure how old your camera is, but there should be some sort of autofocus or halfpress to force a focus attempt.

The paint is good quality and is under the glass. It looks and feels like it was the original screen! I love it. I forget it is on top of my current screen. I will update photos later tonight when I have a better camera.

You don't have any proximity sensor issue? Xgear's spectre is like that and many people are having that issue.
Would you mind downloading "proximity sensor finder" on play store? And check if it's detecting with glasszone on? Also try in pitch black environment.
Thanks in advance

Do these just sit on top or is there adhesive?

No issues what so ever. Tested it with my hand by covering it during a call. I own a cell phone repair shop so I am VERY familiar with issues related to proximity sensors. I even went in the bright sun and it had no issue.
The screen has adhesive that is not too gummy and can be cleanly removed without having to pry too hard or leave residue. The adhesive covers all the colored areas to keep dust out and a snug fit.
Proximity sensor with no light black room.
NO HAND COVERING IT:
WITH HAND COVERING:
How does this compare with the SGP glas offering? They seem to get good reviews?
Thanks
I couldn't get used to not being able to pull down the notification bar, and having the back button work after hitting it 3 or 4 times with the SGP.

Cool thanks you so much for the reply.
I just noticed something, on my proximity sensor it says 8.0mm max distance, but on yours I see 5.0mm? Maybe not all S3 are calibrated the same? Could this be the reason why I had proximity sensor issue with xgear spectre? Very strange :/

I ordered the new Yellow Glasszone Glass Screen Protector and an Aluminum home button sticker.
GlassZone came from Korea in around 8 Days not bad! From here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HOT-Deal-LC...738&pid=100015&prg=1006&rk=1&sd=190732428935&
The home button cover came from Honk Kong in around 7 Business days! Not bad at all from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16087807105...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Pictures:

I just got mine today and from initial impressions, touch responsiveness appears to be completely unaffected.
And the oliophobic coating seems almost magical at dealing with my fingerprints.
Need to figure out something about the home button though. This thing is quite thick for a protector and makes the home button hard to press. Seidio includes stickers to put on it (2 pairs of clear and translucent blue), but they're transparent/translucent and apply a funky cylindrical magnification effect to the brushed metal look of the button which looks really weird and unattractive IMO, so I'm looking for an opaque option.
Bro, still no touch sensitivity issues? Seriously considering this glass screen protector as Spigen has discontinued their version (and they never made a blue one. -__- )
Does this interfere with putting a case on the phone? I have a puregear dualtek that I'm not gettin rid of, I'd hate to buy this and find out I need to choose one or the other.

I do have small issues with swipes being mistaken for taps (especially with vertical scrolling), but I had that problem before with no protector and I'm unsure if this has made it worse at all.
Though as for blue, you're SOL here too. You only get black or white.

The protector stops ~3mm from the edge of the phone (and in from that is ~1mm of slight tapering). This is sufficient clearance for their active cases (plastic over silicone, like the otterbox commuter line), but they explicitly state it's not compatible with their Surface (just plastic), Innocell (their battery case), and Convert (like an active around the innocell case) cases.
I'm honestly not sure whether your case would fit or not. I could give you some pictures of what this looks like on mine when I have another camera available this weekend.

I know they only make black and white with this, but at least I get the choice of a dark glass screen protector with this brand as opposed to Spigen's white only and Spectre's proximity, weird manufacturing pattern on glass problems.
In any case I'll wait for one of the big youtube reviewers to get this glass protector... If they ever will.
Got mine a few days ago when I get around to peeling off my Spigen ill update you guys
Sent from my GS3
I got mine yesterday. I don't notice any difference in sensitivity.
I do notice that it is really heavy. You will need a case with this because it is extremly ugly without a case. The fit is still too small for the screen. You can use a hybrid 2 piece case like the Musubo retro. You will hate having it with the UAG case or anything like that. It will fit but there will be a gap that just looks silly.
The sticker for the home button really cheap.
I purchased mine from Amazon and its going back. Gotta love Amazon.
Got mine today.
Hi Y´all!
Just installed it about 20 minutes ago.
Black was on back order so i ordered the white one.
Thought it would make an interesting contrast to the blue phone & case.
Now - not so sure but it´s too late.
Installation: Hmm - Not as easy as it sounds. At least not to me.
Lined it up with front speaker & home button first.
Problem arose the last couple of millimeters before the actual "contact" with the screen because there weren´t room to get a grab of the edges any more.
It ended up being about 3/10´th of a millimeter off centered at the home button
Won´t correct though. got a clean fit.
In use: Really slick surface. No fingerprints either
Sensitivity takes a hit No two ways around it.
Not much mind you. Subjectively i´d say about 95 % retained.
Is it a problem. Well -- non time critical use is fine - most of the time. Typing is a bit slower.
Temple run 2: Forget it. Just won´t work when one missed gesture is one too many.
I´ll leave it on for a while. Maybe screen sensitivity can be adjusted somhow.
Will post question in Q&A section. Search didn´t reveal anything.
As it is... well ... Close - very close.. but no cigar.
Honestly won´t reccommend it.
I can live with the slightly off alignment. But the sensitivity :crying: Rats - had such high hopes.
Regards
ELO
Everyone still happy with this. Seem to be many complaints on Amazon and want to pull the trigger.

anyone know where i can get something like this below. just cover the top and bottom
but better still transparent. i intend to cover the back and sides with a skin
so i need just the top and bottom so that it gives adequate protection and raise the screen edges by top and bottom instead of side

No it won't. That's probably why such a case does not exist. Wouldn't this look really weird? Even if transparent?

It probably looks ridiculous and feels awkward. Bottom and top larger than the mid section, and color would add to the odd nature of it. Just get back and side skins from zagg and a glass screen protector like the Glas.T or Glas.Tr. Won't look ridiculous that way and you can keep the smooth glass surface that everyone loves.

It probably works well at achieving the goal you want but to me, the feeling it would give off with the top and bottom being larger than the midsection and the odd coloring would be too much of a lose compared to the gain. It seems like you just want to use them to keep the screen from getting scratched which is why I think getting a Glas.T or Glas.Tr is better as you don't have any lose besides the thickness of the protector which isn't too think. Still a lot thinner than the bottom and top portion pieces of the case. Also if anything isn't flat with the surface, and the One bumps in to it, it can still get scratched even with the bottom and top part of that case. Currently I've had my One for about 6 weeks and not a scratch yet on the screen. Gorilla glass is strong, and I don't plan on selling this phone ever so a scratch on it wouldn't bother me as long as i can't see it easily.

So it's better to use a skin guard for the body and the glas.t for screen ?
Will the glas t protect the screen from being cracked?

I Think so personally. Spigen claims that the screen shield will absorb the impact and only the shield will shatter which sounds about right to me. But im sure if it got hit hard enough on the side part or on the top, that the impact and pressure will cause the screen itself to break, but thats unlikely to happen because it would need an extremely hard impact on the side/top for that to happen, not caused by dropping it or anything like that. But if it were to fall on a rock or something like that outside, the protector will be the only thing that would shatter. Unless that also had an extremely impact but that would probably only happen if it were thrown and hit a surface or someone intentionally smashes it with a hammer.
Screen protectors can keep your screen from getting scratches. Scratches compromise the integrity of your screen, which can increase the likelihood of it shattering when dropped. I don't think screen protectors can actually help dissipate the force though.
If you're looking for impact protection, you'll want to protect the corners of your phone...that means at least a good bumper case

well actually i can do what i want by using any cheap generic tpu case and cut out to what i want ,
then just slot in at the top and bottom , the rest cut off, but it will not cover the entire grills will leave the front part open
my idea is something like this :
but just the sides have to removed
