My roommate was playing with my dash and he broke the Volume strip. Can it be repaired? I believe it came off...
Should I glue it back on it or just buy a whole dash casing for it?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I need you to clarify. Did you just break the plastic covering over the touch strip or did the actual strip come off. If its just the plastic cover you should be able to just glue it back on. Post back
I believe it is the plastic cover just came off. Volume strip works fine, its just looks ugly and I might damage it if I continue using it.
Then just try to glue it back on and see what happens... You should be fine once you glue it back on...
I removed back cover from kindle, rear cover did not seat fully upon re install. Loose on two corners.
was wondering if anyone has had there kindle apart and had a similar issue.
Was thinking of just gluing with silicon adhesive, so as to be able to remove later if needed.
Any thoughts?
Did you break any of the clips?
Must have broken something as cover does not snap back as cleanly as it did before.
It does not seam like it is going to fall off, would just like to be sure it is secure.
..
Submerge it on water to soften the connections.
Seriously though, just lay it down flat, place your fingertips beneath the edge closest to the buttons and lift up. Pops right off. Gets a bit easier as it breaks in. It's a sturdy bit of design.

Is there a right way to remove the official book cover from my 8.4? The thing is held real tight against my tablet, so a part of me is afraid I might rip something out by accident if I pull too hard. Even the official instruction sorta says not to?

Best way I've found.
Close cover over tablet face. Don't close the magnetic flap.
lay the tab face down . Screen should be covered from step 1
Lift back flap
Place hand on back of tablet where you lifted flap.
light press now and pull up on flap.
should unsnap easy

That's what worked for me. Just grab as close to the lift of the flap as possible.
Hi all,
Do you know where I can get just the NFC film / sticker that goes to the back cover of the phone?
Thanks.
Hi everyone,
I started having problems with crackling noise coming from the back cover of the tablet - after removing it many times two or three stabilizing clips are broken and this plastic noise drives me crazy. I tried putting some sticky foam to stabilize the cover when pushed to the inner side but it didnt work.
Does anyone know a reliable seller (or someone that wants to sell his as a replacement part) for purchasing this rear housing part in europe? I would also be interested in the white version.
Thank you
