done the upgrade and still not working, is there a special kind of hdmi cablet that archos requires as my old herotab c8 works perfectly with the cables i have?
Try the cable on another TV or monitor to confirm its not an issue with the TV you are using
the cables work with my herotab and tv so either my hdmi on my archos is broken or needs a specific type of hdmi cable
i just used a cheap hdmi cable and its working great...

micro usb to HDMI Adapter

Has anyone one bought a micro usb to HDMI adapter that actually work with their tablet? I bought one and did not work so I'm hoping people can recommend a working one. I'm wondering about the MHL 2.0 To HDMI 1080P HDTV Adapter but have not seen any reviews mentioning whether it works on the Note 10.1 2014 edition. Thank you.

I am not sure if this option would work. But maybe Google chromecast would be a better solution. Wirelessly send media to TV through your network with it possibly.

You'll need an 11 pin MHL connector... We discussed it here.

And there is a link to the one that I know works.

chromecast is a great, inexpensive product but very limited compared to allshare or just using hdmi out.
i've rooted my chromecast and put it back in it's box in storage. that's all i've used it for so far.

You can get a cheap HDMI Miricast or Intel WiDi adapter and it will work with the "Wireless Display" feature of the X.
I have an old Netgear Push2TV (WiDi device) and I've used it to stream tv episodes from my X (Xfinity TV Go App) and the quality is excellent. I've seen miricast adapters as cheap as $20.

Micro usb to s-video?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to display the screen of my m7 on a s-video in port of my satnav in my car. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app
It is possible. First you need standard MHL video out adapter, and HDMI to s-video or composite one. That's two independent devices. Look them up on ebay
Or since it is a car, maybe instead of MHL which is cable, you could use one of many Miracast adapters (or Google Chromecast) to make it wireless. Plug it in HDMI-to-analog adapter, then to your satnav.

Using micro usb for audio with DAC

I am thinking of purchasing a DAC unit for my phone and wonder if anyone know if the micro USB port will work with an adapter to DAC unit?
Thank you
Well... I've tried Chord Hugo. It has dual USB ports. Only the standard port is android compatible. The other is hifi speced and need drivers on Windows or certain OSX versions. In my case it offers Bluetooth too.
Short version. If it is made for mobile units it probably has android support. A cheaper alternative is Chord Mojo... All depends what kind of money you are prepared to spend.

Yes DAC can be detected via usb... Using FIIO DACs
