Hey guys,
I've just managed to make a build of Cyanogenmod with lots of help by a guy called sultanqasim (actually he did most of the work), thanks a lot bro
Probably it's very bugy. Let's call it Pre-Alpha. Anyway, the build is ready and I need guys who'd like to try it out.
I chase GDrive for the first CM build. All Beanstalk builds are uploaded to the official Beanstalk AFH.
Currently working:
Display
WiFi
Bluetooth
Sensors
Audio through bluetooth
NFC
Broken:
Audio through built in speakers or headphones
RIL
Camera
Mic
Various other smaller things
Some Sprint users also report that it doesn't work for them. Just try it out if you like. Every tester's report takes the project a bit closer to stable builds.
Download Cyanogenmod (GDrive)
Download Beanstalk (AndroidFilehost)
To flash it:
in TWRP, reformat the userdata partition as unencrypted ext4. Go to Wipe->Advanced Wipe, select data, click on repair or change filesystem, change file system, and choose ext4.
in TWRP, go to Wipe -> Advanced wipe, and erase system, data, dalvik, and cache
flash the file by pushing it to your sdcard or you can use adb sideload. Also you can flash GApps optionally.
reboot into the system
Looking forward to your reviews. Thanks a lot
Good luck to all of you

If you like my work consider a donation to support me in financing computer-components which are meant to replace the defect ones in my broken PC.
If you donate you'll donate to my father who will gimme the money. Thank you really much!
Nice!
Moderator Information,
Thread re-opened to allow OP to upload file on XDA host.
Can't wait for CM13 on this phone. I know Squid2 has been a ton of work into this, from what I know, already a solid month behind the scenes.
device boots up? display?
thought this thread was closed till a download link was posted...
i don't seem to find any link or me gone blind lolll
edit:- just read that its opened for uploading the link so it seems upload is in progress
Maybe change the title with correct spelling of " Unofficial "
We've had a booting and partially working version of CM13 for a while now, it's posted by @squid2 somewhere in the guides and discussion thread. Which, makes me wonder, with all due respect, how this is any different from that build?Have there been any fixes to the broken things on that ROM (most of the radio, for example) that warrant this being a separate version of CM13?

i guess we would need to wait for the upload to be finished to see if its any different or the same as the Op doesn't seem to be much of responding to any comments
@krassermensch - Can you give us a list of what is and isn't working in your experience, at least?

Hey, squid2 is the guy I named sultanqasim in the first post of this thread as sultanqasim is his GitHub name. I managed to build Cyanogenmod with his help and his sources. He's the main developer. I'm just trying to make a more current build for those who'd like to have one. As a result my builds are based on his latest commits. I'm just the one who did minor patches which aren't as relevant as the ones squid2 performed. He's the more experienced one of us. You should treat me like a maintainer and him like the main ROM developer.

Hah, thanks for clearing that up - good to know. Didn't mean to attack you, just asking the questions trying to keep it all honest. So should we assume his working/not working list applies here?

Don't mind. I really want to let everyone know that the main work was made by sultanqasim as I'm not willing to steal anyone's work. I just want to provide a more current build of his work to the community. Assume some minor things have already been fixed but it's probable that you'll experience camera, nfc, radio... issues here as well... I also hope this'll be fixed soon
I'm really glad to see this coming along! Keep up the good work. I'm not much of a tester normally but I think Im going to give it a shot later tonight and let you know what issues I can find.

So glad to see the credits given, and insight to what testers will find.
Didn't want to see any drama, I thanks for putting the time in and squid for laying these ground work!
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
@krassermensch, thanks for your efforts but... If you're going to publish his work, how about updating the OP with his bug list and the title with pre-alpha. Just so users have more information, instead of the vague "it might be buggy". We know its buggy. Specifics about what works and doesn't is what people would like to know.
This still accurate?

Hi, I flashed your rom with the open gapps, booted up and connected to wifi and logged in through google. I don't have any cellular connection though. I am making a nano back-up of this and going back to stock until I figure out the cellular connection. Let me know how I can help or report bugs to you.

I think the RIL is not working yet which is what you need for the cellular connection. This definitely needs more work before its useable. But really good progress to date.

Optimus G Owners,
I am working on my first build from source. I noticed we didn't have an updated build of ChameleonOS 4.4 of this forum. I am fairly new to this and have a fully capable pc to build it from scratch. Problem is I need some help with building and some testers. So if your interested in a collaboration with this build please leave a comment or leave me a message.
I have in installed Python, Git and the Sdk and am working on Forks and Repos. If you know of any good sources or suggestion please feel free to leave the below .
Repo is in progress
should be a couple hours to finish downloading and about an hour to build will try first build on my phone to see if it boots. if so I will post a download link to try it out.

VanirAOSP and Commotio Android MM 6.0.1 for the SPH-L710
Credits go to Team Vanir and DHO for the development of these roms.
Disclaimer : Use these ROM's at your own risk and please don't blame me if you brick your device . If you are new and don't know what your doing please don't flash these ROMS until you've done your research , read through the thread, and made yourself aware of previous known issues. THIS THREAD IS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND BUG REPORTING ONLY EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE IGNORED. Use the Q&A thread for questions and other issues.
Note for mods: I am taking over for MonstaDriva, if this thread presents an issue or there is a better way to do this let me know.
This thread will be updated as I remember to add things.
I do not have this device, therefore I can not test any builds. I am also not known in the Vanir/Commotio community yet. This is my first time maintaining a device, I will probably screw up, a lot, until I get practiced at it. Because I do not have this device, I am extremely reliant on bug reports by the community, therefore if you are not reporting a bug all other questions or issues go in the Q&A thread. I REPEAT THIS THREAD IS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND BUG REPORTING ONLY EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE IGNORED. This is to keep this thread clean so I can keep track of what needs to be fixed.
The following is required if reporting a bug, everything else will not receive a response and the bug may or may not be ignored.
Reporting a bug:
Read through the whole thread. See if bug is already reported
Read through again.
If bug is already reported, provide link to original report, add your logs, and any extra information that expands upon what is missing.
List rom. EG. Vanir or Commotio
List build date
List official or unofficial
Describe issue in detail. All know facts
Steps to reproduce issue
Logs. Any and every log imaginable. Eg. Logcat, kmesg, dmesg, etc.
Read through the whole thread again
Anything else that will help diagnose the issue
If you can satisfy all the above requirements then you may report a bug.

Looks good. Lrs121, for not having this device, you have definitely done a lot for it. Thanks bro.
I was honestly expecting this thread to explode with comments. Well I've gotten a new wireless card and can begin attempting to push patches if anyone thinks they may be necessary.

Vanir run's so good usually that there's seldom any issue even when other devices are having them . You are sort of like the infamous Maytag Repairman Bored for wanting to patch . Sent you a pm .
Anyone install this yet?? Screenshots would be cool...
I JUST reverted back to Wicked X 4.4 because the new 6.0 Roms i've tried (OctOS, AICP) have the exact same issues with phone calls, audio, and especially BT. They're usable, but barely. Takes too long for calls to answer, and it's buggy....after answering, they'll still appear to be receiving a call haha. They're heavily based on CM13. Dunno how much AOSP. If someone had a screenshot of their InCallUI with this ROM that'd be awesome.... if it's different I'd go ahead and wipe 4.4 again to try it.
EDIT
If there's a Q&A thread, I couldn't find it....Im sorry to be so noob but, should I just make a new thread? Again, such noob but, would it make sense to make a thread in QA titled the same as this thread, and link to THAT thread in this thread's OP?

Hello everyone,
the question and disscussion is:
Do we get Lineage OS support in the Future? it does not matter if unofficial or official, but what do you think?
I saw the LeEco le Max 2 get some unofficial support, so it could be that some Devs will try it.
It would be awesome *_*
I think the problem is, that the community isn't that big like for the le Max 2, but maybe it will get bigger in the future.
What do you think? :good:
I'm running my own custom image of LineageOS 13.0. All is working as expected, but I don't have time to clean all the stuff to share it with public. I uploaded my sources that works in https://www.github.com/corvusmod, so if someone wants to build it, feel free
For L14 version, camera is not working already and will not work until Leeco release N for Pro3
I think, it's not discussion, but it is a question. So, it should be in "QUESTIONS & ANSWERS". Le Max 2 have bigger community, because this phone is cheaper and cheapest Le Max 2 was for 180-200$. This mobile is older. Our Le Pro 3 have few months and in future it could have more community and ROMs like this.

Wooow! Someone interested?
It would be awesome!
:fingers-crossed:
Who could we talk to in order to get official support?
I dont know, but to get official support there should be at first a stable unofficial lineage OS Version. I do not know much about creating ROMs but i hope someone does and will create a masterpiece for le pro 3
I hope so
I can continue cleaning of the LOS13. I have quite a bit of free time and want to get started on a project. If corvus doesn't mind, I'll make a thread on my progress and, eventually, some stable builds.

Hi @jts2111,
No problem from my side. TS team shared with me the sources, I modified them for Lineage, and try to do some tweaks (already uploades) and have some more in local, but causes some problems, so I didn't upload them.
With this image I get more than 3 days of batt time and a sot of 8 hours, so it's good for me. My only concern is that I was not able to make Camera2 HAL working to get manual settings. But I have little time to test, so any help from this side is welcome.
Only one thing, please, share the code in a public repo so TS, me or any other developer can see it and work together.
Thanks

For Slim, please use the fork from where I get the code. See it in github. It's TS source, so it should work.

I forked your repo and shared it in my post. I'll work on what you mentioned. One of my top (long term) goals is complete CTS compatibility. With safetynet passed, there'd be nothing that would really pull you back to stock.
Definitely, I'm preparing the Kernel code after code to ensure we get a very clean and functional Kernel for the future, instead of just merging the one from LeEco with more than 80% of unneeded bits due to their other devices being at the same place (shameful).
This will get a ~30MB Kernel reduced to around 12MB and thus make custom ROMs perform a lot better and boot immensely faster after all.
I'd only need one sense of common attitude which is asking LeTV to keep the Kernel source up-to-date when they launch OTAs as well, I've seen some comments regarding their image stabilization fix at latest release (OTA) which is only possible at Kernel/blob level and thus if we want to have this feature working (at least partially) we need the source code "right off the bat" to get those fixes. Please, make pressure on their forums for 5.9 x720 Kernel source code and for nougat preview builds, I'd appreciate to even help with their own EUI for that matter, I'll see if I can get in touch with them concerning those points.
Do we have someone from China or someone with experience with Chinese so we can attach our discussions there?
I do hope they keep the open source up to date, but it seems they are doing the bare minimum to apply to Google's open source policy. I'm in the US, so I have the x727 with 1 SIM. We would need someone to test with a x720 as well.
@GalaticStryder, Leeco only will post the sources needed to avoid license problems with GPL, so dont wait much help from them. But we can ask...
@jts2111, I have a 720, so I can test your builds.
@jts2111
I received my X720 this week and I could also test your experimental build.
It would be nice to already start with a LineageOS custom ROM as first ROM to avoid a lot of reinstallation / reconfiguration of apps with other kind of custom ROMs.
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Pre-Disclaimer:
THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL BUILD. The intent is to showcase what is coming up soon. I have been working hard on getting Walleye on a level I consider DD ready, especially from a security side of things.
Please keep any problems with those builds in this thread, I don't accept any bug reports for any other builds other than my HomeBrews.
Disclaimer:
While I make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your device. I ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash or post that you broke your phone!
Support:
I spend an astonishing amount of time developing this device. I can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Ask a question in this forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
Notice:
This build includes GApps for now. We're still working on ways to not prebundle it.
Before you flash, make sure you're on the latest 8.1 stock builds (and bootloader), then flash the ROM in TWRP.
Instructions :
Boot to TWRP
Format Data (If you didn't type YES, you did it wrong!)
adb sideload homebrews.zip
reboot system
(to gain root you must first boot homebrewsROM. Then reboot and to TWRP and install Magisk 1 6.0)

Is there really no mainstream support for this device? Everything that comes out, no disrespect, is moonshine lol.
I for one am happy to see it.

Don't devices that are not officially supported need someone to start the process and possible become a maintainer? I could be mistaken. I myself think moonshine is pretty cool and would love to know how to make it.
Holy crap do my lying eyes deceive me or is there a rom for the Pixel 2 LOL,,,thanks brother for letting me know about this. Now who is going to be the guinea pig and flash it LOL

Sorry, i got super anxious myself when i finally got playstore, phone, and text messaging working.
Thus the piss poor thread that i copy and pasted from taimen's lineage.

I heard they are working on taimen first then our phone. For the most part it is all their that it seems. ****ty part is they cannot make it official until they find out why you cannot flash gapps.
So the work around is make it unofficial and build gapps inside.

FWIW this is what's been done with the Essential Phone.

I was the same way. A **** ton of reading and a lot of PMing. It is pretty simple when you get the hang of it. This early in the game you get to see the codes that attract you to certain roms or kernels.
Right now i just need to make sure it is stable before i work on the kernel or choose what rom i am gonna stick with.

That's what i heard. If i knew that last weekend we would have had that much sooner.
Awesome, glad to see some work
Sideloading it worked. Totally clean install- formatted data (as in typed "yes") and pushed the files like described.
*Wouldn't pick up my 5ghz wireless network during setup, but connected once I was in the os.
LTE seems fine, the screenshot is par for what I get around here. Still setting up and testing, but looking good so far!
Thanks @Ryche666

I have some previous experience building rom from the WIko Wax and the Huawei P8.
I run the Xiaomi A2 Lite as my daily driver, so I can't afford to test this ROM.
I do not know if this will even boot. As I said, I need you members of this forum to test this and tell me what works and the ROM's performance.
This ROM is based on LineageOS 17.1, so that is Android 10.
With a bit of luck this should work out of the box. It is here, that I should thank the pople from the Team Potato here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/development/10-0-posp-v3-q-daisy-t4011191 They are the ones who made most of the work to bring Android 10 to this device. I have just modified it a bit. Once again, props to them.

Always latest url: https://github.com/a-huk/otaserver/releases/download/09/lineage-17.1-20201115-UNOFFICIAL-daisy.zip
It is a zip, I suppose that it will be possible to flash it through TWRP, just clean flash as much as possible. I am not responsible for any harm this may do to your devices.
Again, please only post with feedback on the ROM, logcats would be useful as well or some benchmarks. I would like to make this stable and if possible official with Lineage. I know this forum is a mess, but again it is only for development. I will make propper one if this ever works. I need testers, thanks in advance. And props to the Potato Team

heyo,
I have a few things to say:
- Your bringup is a mess
- Do your bringup on these trees https://github.com/PotatoDevices/device_xiaomi_daisy/tree/6180e3d5870834981e5f41424014047038ca235c
https://github.com/PotatoDevices/vendor_xiaomi_daisy
That will fix audio and cam
Thank you so much for your work. Imma fan of Lineage since the beginning and would prefer it over stock rom.
I dont want to be rude or anything but your bringup is quite a mess in my eyes and why is audio and **** not working for you since almost everything works fine here besides the wifi dsplay and fm radio

WTF!? It's for testing purposes only as OT says. Maybe u can contribute and help solving those issues?

Sick, could you test some more things, like sd, calls, LTE, and run an ANTUTU benchark?

SD card works, calls I just tested with my other phone, LTE later since I don't have it at my current location. GPS works pretty good. I never used ANTUTU but will give it a try later.

XD, I took a look at his commits and they looked like a mess and i linked him to my updated trees that have the audio and cam issue solved so next time read further into the message instead of trying to become a white knight thanks

Yeah they are a mess, getting started ?, haven't done this in a while. Yeah, this is pretty much your tree with your latest commits and some changes to convert it to a lineage tree. I also ignore neverallows to let the build finish. I will have to eventually deal with them to make it into an official build. In the meantime I plan on hosting an OTA server on my own. I am not hiding that most of this is your work, it is forked and I thank the POSP team and other devs who worked on the A2 Lite, thanks again. I just prefer LOS and there seems to be demand for it so I'm here trying to build it.
I don't think that there is a need for anyone to argue, we all have the same phone, more ROMs are always welcome and merit should be given where it is due, which I think has been done.
I will make another post in the following days, where everything is properly outlined with some more explanations.

oh no you got me wrong, Your credits were alrights its just that your source is a mess and that trees i linked have the issues like cam and audio fixed and nope more roms is not a great idea because we had a buildbot apocalypse earlier during the pie days we had like 42 roms at that point
That's awesome news @reujea0, congratulations!
LineageOS is all I need for this phone.
I'll move to this ROM as soon as it gets close to official (I use it as my daily driver).

Yeah, can completely agree with this, but tbh I feel like Los is a must for any phone. I'm not saying that it is better/worse than other ROMs but anyone in the scene knows it and most of them are stable and close to AOSP.

Please enable signature spoofing for MicroG
LineageOS still my favorite ROM.
Well, hope will be official soon.
EDIT : Could you please share the change log if the update is released ?
1st of all thank you so much, for starting this missing project, this afternoon i'll report more!
1. ZIP wouldnt install through TWRP (error: to Edit later) (deleted System/Data/Cache Stuff, from Android 9), so unpacked payload.bin, and flashed manually in fastboot from stock 9.
2. One permission which is needed for MicroG with Playstore (no gapps) I think something like certificate/signing spoofing is missing. (Specify later)
Besides that feels quite stable, safety net passed with opengapps/magisk, can comfirm wifi, camera, sound works. Noticed nothing wrong, will test more today, right now writing in this Rom!
Someone asked for antutu Benchmark? Could not run it, inside the tutorial the "which OS are you using" wasnt clickable, probably because off the app itself? But:
3D Mark
853 points - my A2 Lite LOS 17.1 > 56% than other A2 Lite's
