Hey guys I was using my alternate Google Play account to get samples for some Japanese manga directly from the Google Play Store. However I tried opening the sample I keep getting "Image Not Available" when I turn a page, it seems to only happen with foreign books. Is there a way I can fix this? I attached a couple screenshots for reference, any help is greatly appreciated!
If this is a legitimate copy and you are not trying to mod play books or play store at all, a simple email to google should get them to fix it. It seems to me like the sample just has the image not available embedded into it. To check, try zooming in to the not available page as far as you can and see if you can see the quality degrade. EDIT: since you are saying it is happening with foreign books, try changing your language to get the correct book, you may have to delete and re-download tho.
Oh okay, I can see the quality degrade as I zoom in. I'll try to email Google about it, the thing is that this is my Japanese Google account (long story involving VPN), should I email them?

Managed to get deezer working as an orange swap able on my nexus. This gives me a premium account and therefore the ability to download tracks for offline listening. Very impressed so far. Music choice seems varied but bear in mind I'm 40 so my tastes might not be everyone's ....
The android app seems a little clunky and I can't see any way to play downloaded tracks in any other app.... has anyone managed this???
To get the swap able working use dolphin browser and convince it you are on a GS2. Will post the string later if anyone is interested ......
I've been very impressed with the deezer service.
I to looked for a way to play offline music in another app. My guess is the deezer app caches the files in an unreadable format. Similar to how google music does. There is an app available now that is able to convert cached files from google music into a readable format and let you play them in another music application. I doubt it would work with deezer. But someone could release something similar.

Struggling to understand how the "my mp3s" bit works. It doesn't seem to find existing music on my phone and half the instructions are in french
it didnt find any of my music.
I have a question for you guys. Can you play songs on the Deezer website? I'm getting really frustrated with how it changes all the time!
At first I couldn't, then it started working for a few weeks. Then it stopped working again for a couple of weeks. And then since then I've been using the Deezer website for unlimited music for ages. At least I think that's how it's been, basically it's been on and off!
Now today I went to play music and it had put me on to a free account and I had to activate my Orange subscription (for like the 3rd time now, does it do this every month or something?!), and now I can't listen to music on the website. It's killing me because I use it allll the time on my laptop!
if it is still actual:
i've been looking into the files deezer stores lately and found out:
they are mp3s!
they just hash them before they save them and then somehow decode them when it's playing.
if someone is interrested to know more about it and understands java quite good let me know and i'll hook you up with the info you need
I'd be interested in finding out how to save the hashed MP3. There are quite a few albums on there I've downloaded and as I swap my phone regular but the limit on freezer mobile devices is two.
Cheers

Any news?
Hi guys.
Any news on deezer decrypting music?
I also found out they're mp3-s, but can't get a way to dehash them by any possible chance, Anyone had any luck?
Regards
I've done some googling but i haven't managed to come up with an answer to this either way...
Me and my friend both have the galaxy nexus and we tried to beam a picture but it wouldn't work.
After some research i've found that it isn't possible because of the gallery in the rom.
does anyone know if there are plans to change this so that pictures can be exchanged through beam?
It's not because of the gallery apk. It's because NFC has a very slow transfer rate. It would take a long time to send a picture.
Things that I have had success beaming are: market app links, browser links, youtube videos.
Yeah, you can really only send links and all, not actual content stored on you phone as far as i know. because it takes too long, and nfc may not even be capable of doing it. however, when you beam a youtube video, app, or website or something, you are basically sending the link to the other phone and then the other phone connects to that link through whatever app it uses like the Browser, Youtube app, or Market etc. to transfer actual content like photos stored in your phone, its probably best to use bluetooth or just email it or something.
i may be wrong though

Just upload your photo to drop box and beam the link, easiest way to do it.
Note: you can beam contact stored on phone, not just links.
Yeah we managed to beam apps which opened up my market... websites... youtube links and a contact from his phonebook to mine.
Guess we will have to stick to the good old bluetooth for pictures.
Still a very nice feature to play about with.
File Expert will speed up that bt transfer with an nfc tap.
And ShareNFC will add the ability to transfer files via NFC in an upcoming update.
I'm not sure where this post belongs, so sorry in advance if it's in the wrong section.
I am having a really hard time with the Google Play - My Library widget. Specifically, the My Music library. Whenever I try to add it to a homescreen, I keep getting the error "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped". The weird thing is that this is the only library that is causing that. The books, magazine, movies, and my library work just fine. They load the pictures and everything.
Can anyone confirm this bug?
Thanks!

I have resolved this problem for those looking/ having the same problem. Remove the widget and then go into Settings --> Apps (application manager) --> Menu (three dots) --> "Reset app preferences". Re-apply the widget.
I like the fact that Amazon has unlimited photo storage. However their PC app is not integrated with Explorer in Windows like Google's is. It makes it much easier to open photos in Photoshop, work on them and and save them back to the cloud. So has anyone been successful in getting their photos taken with this phone to upload to Google Photos?
If you install G+, it saves Photos in googles cloud
Hmm I can't install Google + on mine. Am I missing something? It's listed as not compatible on the play store. Should I just drop the apk in?
Okay jus installed the apk from a reliable source (but not the play store) and it's uploading photos
Is there a way to do it without Google framework? I installed all 4 APKs and it killed battery life with Play Store Services (although I guess that could be due to uploading photos/videos in the background!). I went back to stock and I'm trying to survive on stock for now (had to sideload Pebble APK, Ring.com APK, and Acorns APK though.
Thanks!
I mean to clarify, how many times will I receive the default application message for my often repeated selection? I select youtube and 'always', the message appears that I can change it in my settings if I need to. I am at a different website, I choose a video. Hey, here's that crafty default application request again, do I want to select youtube? Just like the last time 'always'. Just like the last time the message appears that I can change it in my settings if I need to.
Make it stop.
I didn't know youtube could become a default app. Actually, the youtube app is disabled on my N4 as I only watch vids through my browser.
It sounds like you have more than one app like the youtube app that can play online vids. Did you install one or more? If you did, try uninstalling them or disabling them. That way, perhaps the youtube app will be the only one and become the default like you want it to.
Also, I'm sure the youtube app is only affiliated with youtube videos. Hence when on another site, are you expecting "any" type of video to play in the youtube app? I don't think that's going to happen.
