i don't know if this is normal of not - when i use google play (downloaded from play store) and the album cover pic doesn't change. if it switch between artists (different "folder") it will change, but if i have 1 artist with like multiple albums it won't change album picture. and yes i'm sure the song has an album art attached
refer to sig for my phone specs

Yes, it is normal. This means, that the music files (MP3, M4A, 3GP, WMA etc. ) have not got the albumart saved in the binary...
Just ignore it
how do i fix it?
There is no way to "fix" it... Just leave it as it is

i would like a fix, i want the album cover to change
You can add or edit album art for your music on the Google Play Music "play.google.com/music/listen". There is a small arrow to the right of each album and track that will bring up a pop-up menu when clicked on. Just select edit, change album art, and upload your new art.
I have noticed that sometimes the album art is slow to update when I'm listening to music and my phone is getting a week signal. It may take 20 seconds or more to update.

again, i'm not trying to add or edit. there already is album art on each individual song. the problem is google play is not updating and changing when there are different albums in like 1 artist

Have you tried resetting your phone to clear out the cache?

I have the same question.
all my mp3s have album arts, but none of them show up.
a solution would be nice.
Browse Play Store for "Album Art Grabber", run the app, in the interface choice "clear", yes, "clear", it will clear old album art database of the Google Play Music, then start Google Play Music, it will show new album art of the songs.
I had a similar problem a while back, you have to use the internet and go to Google play music and change the pictures in there, then they get updated withing the music app.

I have recently flashed AHD 9.72 ROM, however my HTC music app keep force close when I play music in playing page (the page where album art is displayed and you can seek the music) but not in other pages such as the main page or album searching page.
I have tried to fix permission, clear data for media storage and htc music app, however non of these are helping. I suspect that might caused by 'update album art' feature in HTC?
Does anyone know any fix for this? I would try to avoid alternative apps as I really get used to HTC music. Thanks! :good:
Okay, I've been using Google Music Play for a while now, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to download a single track without downloading the entire album. So, I know the little pushpin under the album will download the entire album, but what about a single song from within that album? See the screen shot. If you long press on the song, you'll see the menu appear that doesn't have the option for "make available offline. I think I'm just missing a minor detail, but I can't figure it out.
I used this article from Google Help:

I hope this makes sense,
Thanks,
I'm playing around with uploading my music to Google Music. That being said, when I run Play Music on my gs3, I ONLY want to see the music stored on the Google Music cloud--I don't want to see anything on my phone's storage. I see an option for "all music / on device only" which is the opposite of what I want. I thought about a third party Google Music player but haven't found anything yet (suggestions for this are welcome, I did see an app to let third party players access the google music cloud files but haven't tried it yet). Thanks for any help on this.
Hey guys I was using my alternate Google Play account to get samples for some Japanese manga directly from the Google Play Store. However I tried opening the sample I keep getting "Image Not Available" when I turn a page, it seems to only happen with foreign books. Is there a way I can fix this? I attached a couple screenshots for reference, any help is greatly appreciated!
If this is a legitimate copy and you are not trying to mod play books or play store at all, a simple email to google should get them to fix it. It seems to me like the sample just has the image not available embedded into it. To check, try zooming in to the not available page as far as you can and see if you can see the quality degrade. EDIT: since you are saying it is happening with foreign books, try changing your language to get the correct book, you may have to delete and re-download tho.
Oh okay, I can see the quality degrade as I zoom in. I'll try to email Google about it, the thing is that this is my Japanese Google account (long story involving VPN), should I email them?
