No bluetooth mic sound - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

Hi,i have MTCB KGL unit since 1 month ago i did the mic mod and every thing work will and mic sound become great . After upgraded to the last May firmware . Mic not work any more . No one can hear me . I tried to install another firmware but the same problem . I checked the mic mod may be the wire dissconnect but i found no problem . Tried another mic but still the problem . So please advice what is the problem ?

Did you check in settings in expert/factory settings something changed with the upgrade? If wiring hasn't been affected it should be software and not hardware issue

the factory setting is default values. i checked it . the mic mod i did is connect new jack with shilded cable positive and ground connected to the new jack and the other side of the shilded cable connected to pin 4 in bluetooth card and Not connected the ground to pin 5 . As the mic will take the earth from the jack the connected to the dvd body.

Did the same mod but connected ground to grd on the BT module. However don't think makes any difference to your connection. Did you cut the pin4 or removed the c32 smd?

[Q] phone starts calling automatically

When I plug in my earphones my phone starts to call the last person I spoke to. This happens a couple of times in a row and then it stops and I can watch video or play music without interruption. Does anyone have an idea what this is and how I can fix it?
Had the same problem here ....Can not figure it out either. I have the HTC headset that connects directly into the usb jack'. Sometimes it will happen constantly and other times never happen. I noticed though when it starts to happen and I soft reset the phone it seems to stop the issue for a while. I have two different headsets and the same thing happens to both. But it definitely only happens when there is a headset in use.
I've had this happen a few times (just a couple times over the course of a year), while plugging in the HTC adapter that came with the Tilt 2, that looked like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Mini-USB-Headset-Adapter-2-5mm-3-5mm/dp/B002HNTHKM
I use this adapter in the car, to charge the phone and connect the audio to my car stereo via the 3.5mm jack.
With this same setup, I've also randomly (just a few times also) received a message on the phone's screen to pick the output type (NTSC or PAL) for the video out adapter (when obviously, there is no video out adapter connected).
It APPEARS (not certain) that the times that my phone dialed itself, the adapter was not quite properly seated in the phone's ext-USB jack. Since the HTC headphones have the ability to place calls, I'm thinking there is something going on with the ext-USB jack and plug (short circuit, fouled connection, etc.), where it thinks you are pressing the call button on the HTC headset.
I've seen similar posts on these forums, where the video-out message was possibly traced back to bent pins on the ext-USB jack. Maybe you have a similar issue. Its possible you have bent/damaged pins on the ext-USB jack on your phone, of on the headset plug. Try examining the headset plug, and the ext-USB jack on the phone for broken, missing pins, etc. If possible, try a different HTC headset, and see if the issue persists.
I am currently having this issue and it also only happens when the adapter is plugged into my phone. So does that mean the connection on the adapter could be defective? Is there a way to disable automatic calling from the earphones?

This is often an issue with the adapter or headset you are using. Try another one. Its possible the pins in the phone's ExtUSB socket are bent/damaged. There was a similar thread about this a little while ago. The OP tried a different headset, and it solved his issue.

[Q] [solved] Samsung Galaxy 2 Multimedia Dock: External Audio not working anymore

For a few days now the external audio isn't working anymore and if I set the System Settings->Accessory->Use External Speakers when docked all audio players start behaving weird.
Sometime I get the message that the audio format of the file isn't supported or the file starts playing with abnormal his speed (perhaps 3 times as fast) but in any case no sound is heard.
Sometimes I have to reboot the phone to get it straight again.
With the internal speaker or anything plugged directly into the phone headset output all audio plays perfectly.
Any ideas?

I am still on the unrooted Standard Kernel 3.0.31-1071214, so I wonder if there are others experiencing the same issue.
Problem solved: related to USB cable from charger to docking station
I just found the cause for the problem:
The USB cable between the original Samsung charger and the docking station was changed.
Although charging in the docking station obviously worked fine, it seems the the resistance of the cable caused a voltage drop in the docking station that lead to the malfunction.
Beware of the charging cable and the high current our smarphone draws from it.
Cheers

Further to this, I just discovered that the dock audio will not work for me when connected to a USB port for charging: I had to connect the mains charger and then the audio worked! It does seem to be a current issue.
Cheers - Andrew

Sound threw Auxiliary audio

My roommate and I are having the same issue where our auxiliary ports. We tested 3 different cables on 2 Toyotas and a VW. It looks like there is a issue with how the ports are grounded in the Toyotas, is this a software or hardware issue? In Toyotas the phone could not recognize if it was connected to headphones, auxilary or not connect at all. It would constantly switch between the 3. And end up often choosing to play sound through the phone speakers. The VW had no issues.
Any fixes or suggestions?
Same problem here. If I put in the cable the icon shows up for a second and than disappears. When I touch the other end of the cable while it is plugged in, the icon shows up permanently

On my car (Honda Civic Eg with Jvc Radio) everything is ok, on the car of my chief with an fm transmitter the aux icon disappears within a second. On my old Moto Razr I everything worked as expected. I dont know if its a software issue or hardware issue. Maybe I give this phone back, I'm not sure, I like it but this aux issue really annoys me.

[Q] Headphone Jack issue?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue as Google shows. Has anyone found a fix to the stupid headphone jack not working thing. How if you use certain devices the phone will not output audio. Like the aux in my car or at my work? BT works fine. Headphones work fine its mainly aux. Unplugging the device and replugging it a few times will eventually solve the issue. the thing I think is funny. I plug my aux in and it shows the little aux symbol on my phone in the status bar. but as soon as I start Google Music, it goes away and disables the aux cable. obviously that is a software thing. Is anyone working on it?

FOrd Focus SYNC

Hi,
anybody here have a Ford Focus working fine using the SYNC application to works with the FORD original SYNC.
I insert a new ROm from here ( update_4_4_4_1024X600_RK3188_11_MAL_25_12_2015) but the SYNC still all in chinese and i dont know how to change it to portuguese or english
I also dont hear nothing. Perhaps the application is directed to another sound output ...
Any help is apreciated.
Kind Regards
Franc
I am having the same issue!
I have a Ford Focus and a KLD RK3066 unit. I've updated my HU many times, using more than 5 different firmwares and every time the SYNC app is MUTED. There must be something wrong with the sound output, as mentioned!!
NOTE FOR NON FORD OWNERS: SYNC is a hardware (that is controlled by the HU in an app with the same name) that comes with the car that controls native bluetooth calling and music playing. It can be used together with the HU, using the car's much better microphone and USB connector. Losing this function is really bad for a Ford owner.
Please some help!
Thanks

It does actually! There's even an app that comes in the Android called SYNC, which displays all SYNC information (and it works, but sadly somehow is muted and i can't figure out how to fix it's sound)

hi, Im also a ford focus owner and i have rk3188 HU (KGL5) you should check in the factory settings the CANbus option. My sync apk works great (spanish) and sounds a little bit lower than the HU sound, so try to max the vol (maybe it is, sometimes if im at level 9 sound i cant hear it, i usually place at 20 vol level). I´ve used some malaksys ROM and i had no problem, and today i upgraded the MCU and still works. Now im having some FC but i think with a factory reset it will solve. The app also works with steering wheel controls, (if a press the SYNC key in it calls the app)
Hi, i have a Erisin ES2301F (1024x600 Rk3188 KGL) with a Ford Kuga MK1 (2009). CanBus module HW 1.0 FW 2.0. In Factory Menu (126) i put Focus-Modeo-Explorer (Simple) but SYNC doesn't work. How can i made it doing something...
In the past i had a Sony CD6000 BT, and i removed only the head unit ( i leave the BT module connected and it seem still powered) but the SYNC app doesn't do anything. I connect the cell with BT of the headunit, or i have to do a new search? I don't see any BT source than the one of the Erisin.
Add:
The question is: maybe with another ROM, i could view which door is opened, what temperature i have set in the climatronic and so on? I'm sure those signals are on canbus of my car (Kuga Titanium) 'cause i read on the cluster of the display of the car, and i see some chinese radio that showing those info. One for all is the Joying.
If those info will pass on the radio, also SYNC should works, 'cause in the electric diagram original mic and original BT are on canbus, all connected directly to GEM.
So, OR the decode module don't works..... or the MCU is so different that doesn't capture those signal.
Someone have the answer?
I have a Ford Escape but I have not figured out how to wire in my canbus to this radio (I have a joying). Can someone point me to the right direction?

Hi,
first, try to set Ford Focus Raise in factory canbus setting.
second, check if you have connected AUX L and AUX R cinches to corresponding ones (auxL to Aux L and aux R to aux R) in your harness.
I have so in my Focus and SYNC is ok, but the layout and maintenance of the app is horrible.

What are the AUXL and AUX R cinches?? In the quadlock Ford , i have CAN L e CAN H connected to Quadlock of the radio, then they go to decoder box and returned on the radio into the special connector.
in my case - as in uploaded photo, nr 2, white and red chinches
In my case is total differenti. I have only the quadlock . all signals coming from there. No RCA chinches. Maybe you have a focus 3 (2012+). My canbus decoder has only one connector
I think my Escape (2011) with SYNC isn't supported at all. I cant find any wiring harness that works with Joying. I know where my Canbus wires are and could splice them in but I can't even find a generic canbus joying harness.
