There's an option in CM7 to hide clock from the status bar. But, I was wondering if there's an app that hides clock only when the home screen and lockscreen are shown. Like on older feature phones when you enter menu, clock appears and when you go to start screen it disappeares.

any suggestions, I would like to hide the clock from status bar...
this would have to be built into the statusbar because as far as i know no external app can control the statusbar directly. (i've been trying)
probably not the answer you were after but hey it's an answer.
Pvy.
Is there a way to customize navigation bar?

Yes there is. You can install the Xposed framework and then download a module called Gravitybox you can then adjust the nav bar. Just be aware that this will break ART support. I do not know of a way that keeps ART support and allows for navbar adjustment. For Xposed you can look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/framework-xposed-rom-modding-modifying-t1574401 .
It says only for vanilla android can't use it on sense.

not sure how u want to customise it but gmd hide softkeys app on the market lets you customise it to a certain extent.
I wanna add another button to the navigation bar like g3 I'd able too.

Hey phaniraj, try going into settings>personalization>status bar icons to check if you enabled them to be shown.
Side note: How did you change the color for the icons in the quick settings panel? Couldn't change it with gravitybox

Has anyone found a way to disable the status bar so it isn't visible on any app until I swipe down?

There's an xposed module called force immersive. You can force a particular app or all apps to use immersive mode (hiding status and nav bar until swiped to show)

Except on DPI of 540 kills the send button on hangouts once your keyboard drops...

Would you mind to elaborate? I use the 540 DPI and when I use hangouts I don't notice any issues with the send button. I'm just curious what you are seeing.
I would love one of the devs to edit some SystemUI.apk hacks to remove some of the stupid icons
