G3 has twrp but not rooted?? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, there are a few apps that I want to install on my phone but requires the phone to be rooted. I tried to root it but the phone itself tells me that it is rooted.
However, when I install apps that requires phone to be "rooted" indicates that the phone hasn't been rooted.
How do i re root this phone? it seems that its not working when I use stump or purple drake. Thanks guys.

If you have TWRP, then just flash SuperSu ZIP from here https://download.chainfire.eu/921/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip

[Q] SuperSU/Root Problems

I'm not exactly new to the rooting scene nut lets just say i'm not that expert at it.
THe problem im now getting is on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2(Sgh-1317m) i had it rooted when i was on DN3 but then i wished to update
to 4.4.2, my root was gone. When I tried to re-root it via CF-Auto Root it flashes successfully no probs. But when i open SuperSU it says no SU binary installed and im not able to access root. Is there any way to get root successfully on 4.4.2 or do i have to get back to DN3.
Get back to me ASAP. :good:
Regards,
xtrmewhacker
Special Thanks To Chainfire who made rooting so damn easy!
Try reloading SuperSU from play store

This is my first post to XDA. I'm brand new to rooting though reasonably competent technically. Wanted to root for access to root-only apps, but wanted to wait for 4.4 in case I ended up unable to receive future updates. 4.4.2 OTA came in yesterday so I tried flashing. Used Odin to install TWRP recovery then used TWRP to load TeamEpic Root From Recovery. When done, root apps said I was not rooted. Loaded SuperSU and it said SU binary was missing and I should reroot. Found CF-Autoroot and loaded it through ODIN. Red-logo thing appeared and system recovered but apps still said no root. Loaded "Root Checker Basic" from play store and it confirmed still no root. Tried to run SuperSU but found it to be missing. Reloaded SuperSU from Play Store. As SuperSU was finishing installing, popup message said something about Root Checker wanting access. I said "grant" and then found that Boot Checker verified root access. So I'm on my way.:victory:
Suggestion to xtrmewhacker: remove SuperSU and reinstall from Play Store.
SuperSU couldn't install the latest binary? I did the same as you, install 4.4 stock, flash cf-auto root, installed supersu from play store.
Supersu then installed via normal (not twrp), disabled knox, and rebooted. Everything was fine after.

I got the same thing with cf-autoroot. I went in to philz touch and applied root there. Reboot and you should be able to dl from the market or do like I did and flash the zip version.

Applied 7.0 ROM but no root

Hi hope you can help. Just recently installed this root and all is working well:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/rom-android-7-nougat-t3449078
However I now need root access for a few apps to work. With super su installed it says that the device isn't rooted. But thought the ROM would make it rooted? If not how do you root this ROM?
Thanks
No need for a usb or computer since you have TWRP! Assuming you flashed that ROM with TWRP..
If you don't have TWRP that's bad.
Just go to http://www.supersu.com/download and download the "Recovery Flashable" version and flash it on to your device and after that you should be rooted! REMINDER: Never say yes when TWRP offers to root your device (it might even ask after you flash SuperSU)

Is there a Root 6.0.1?

Hey, i'm looking for a way to root my phone, with android marshmallow (6.0.1.)
Just need the root access, dont need to install ROM's.

Hi I just wanted to know on how to root my phone Lenovo k5 plus, for i, to use and run my application GameGuardian APK. Thank you.
Use Kingo root
Use Kingo root. I rooted my phone with stock rom very easily. The Kingo root shows unsuccessful but after rebooting, the root checker says rooting done. Then install SuperSU rather than kingo super user. ... it is full of ads.

[Help] Need help with Magisk

Hi, so i want to root my phone but i still want to pass SafetyNet. So i found the systemless Magisk root. But i am a bit cofused on how to get it.
I have a stock LG G3. No Custom Recovery, no root and locked bootloader.
So if i want Magisk could i root my phone with someting like Kingroot (It is the easiest way that i found) then get TWRP with the TWRP official app from the app store, then unroot the phone and flash the latest magisk with TWRP?
Will i still pass SafetyNet even though i rooted with Kingroot? Will i have to factory reset the phone in the process? (I don't want to lose my data)
Please help me. Thank you a lot.
