[Q] Help! Bricked Kindle i think

Ok so i just tried to download the newest CWM from the kindle fire utility and when i tried to do that it got stuck in what i think is fastboot but i'm not sure. Has the little android guy above the name "Kindle Fire". Tried turning off the device and power back on but it is still stuck and nothing is working. Adb doesn't recognize my device either. Any help would be really appreciated. Here is what it looks like - http://db.tt/gd59KBHe
Type "fast boot devices" in a command prompt and see what you get
sent from my ever evolving kindle fire
Code:
C:\Users\urweb3>fastboot devices
C:\Users\urweb3>
Thats all it did
Did you open the command prompt where you have fast boot installed on PC ie. Sdk/tools/
sent from my ever evolving kindle fire
Yes and nothing is recognizing my device
OK
Try this.
1/ turn of kindle
2/open command prompt where you have fast boot on your PC.
3/ type the following. Fast boot -i 0x1949 one idme boot mode 4000
4/ press enter (it should say waiting for device)
5/ then switch on kindle
6/ fast boot -i 0x1949 reboot(this should reboot your kindle(if not then your not getting fast boot.
Let me know what happens
Edit.. it should be OEM after 0x1949 not "one"

Windows is not detecting your Kindle Fire properly. The "fastboot devices" should return some alphanumeric characters if the drivers have properly loaded and your device is really in fastboot mode. You need to make sure the right drivers are loading or fastboot commands are useless.
Read this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552547
Pay particular attention to the second post because you NEED to get your drivers working right first. Then the correct fastboot command is...
Code:
fastboot oem idme bootmode 4000
You don't need the "-i 0x1949" if you have the FIREFIREFIRE bootloader and "bootmode" is one word.

It says it finished but i am in the same state as i was to begin with
GOT it working. Ignore all posts. Thanks to Everyone!!!!
Did you get the latest FireFireFire as well? ClockworkMid recovery requires a fastboot such as firefirefire.
Try the kindle fire unbrick utility first before anything.
Here, try this.
1. Power on the kindle.
2. While the kindle fire logo and the android logo are on the screen, Try to boot into recovery by holding three power button until the screen goes black. Then, let go. Let it sit for about two-ten seconds, and it should boot into cwm recovery.
3. Select "factory reset/ wipe data option, and after its done, reboot your kindle and it should work properly.
If that failed, try a hard reset.
1. Power off the kindle.
2. Hold there power button for a Full 20 seconds, even when it turns black.
3. After step two is applied, power on the kindle.

If this doesnt work http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1430038 you will need to aquire a factory cable so you can fastboot flash fff.bin and twrp image in order to then flash a rom because your system software is likely broken factory cable here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392693 its possible you are stuck in fastboot but I doubt it if you get lucky and that is the case shift+ right click on the tools folder in kfu select open command window here power your device off completely leave it unplugged type fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product when it says waiting for device plug in your powered off kindle it should then power on in fastboot mode if you get the response product: kindle then type fastboot -i 0x1949 oem idme bootmode 4000 it will say okay hopefully the type fastboot -i 0x1949 reboot it should then reboot in normal mode

Kindle Fire HD 8.9 Looped:

After trying wallpaper fix I am looped at screen that gives you a choice of factory defaults or reboot
Shows a shows a robot with a red triangle on it.
Would I be able to fix this with a factory cable?
No, you don't need a factory cable since you are on a 8.9”. Simply open a command prompt and CD into a directory with a copy of fastboot, and run this command, "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product", after it says waiting for device plug your kindle in with the power off. It should go into fastboot, if it doesn't then you need to install the drivers for fastboot that are in my signature.

Kindle Fire 2 stuck at boot logo

Hi everyone, im just new here in kindle fire 2 dev page. My KF2 was stuck at bootloop specifically at 'kindle fire' logo. I followed exactly what hashcode's tutorial on how to install twrp and CM. I don't have fastboot cable but i did tried to boot it at fastboot mode, i was able to fastboot it followed until flash the twrp then fastboot reboot. then it just stuck there, i can't use adb and now I'm building my own factory cable, but after I finished it nothing happens.
How can I fix this?
If my cable wiring was correct, should it boot to fastboot mode after I plugged it?
any help will greatly appreciated thanks.
+1 here
I got a fast boot cable, I can access twrp just need to restore it and it does not work...
I used KFFirstAide with no success all I get is solid kindle fire logo when trying to boot normally.

[Q] Used a not great tutorial now kindle fire hd won't restart. Help?

Okay starting off with this is the tutorial I was using: rootkindlefire . com/kindle-fire-root/how-to-root-convert-kindle-fire-hd-8-9-into-pure-android-tablet and I like a lot of people in the linked youtube comments (which I stupidly didn't read before trying, yes I am aware that was stupid) am stalled after step 20. But my kindle fire HD doesn't seem to have TWRP because it turned on and the kindle fire logo is still orange. It didn't go to blue like most of the other peoples did.
Can someone please help me to either undo my mess or help me get past this block? I wasn't able to find any help in the comments or a related thread on here.
I think it's stuck in fastboot but I can't get it to go into recovery so I'm not sure.
It's not in fastboot, its just hung on the boot loader. If you have never installed the fastboot driver before I reccomend fixing this partially from Linux, your device will be detected briefly when its first turned on as a fastboot device, but it's a pain to try to install the drivers in that brief moment on windows. It is way easier to get it into fastboot from and Ubuntu live CD by installing fastboot from the software center on a Ubuntu 13.10 live CD, and then running this with the kindle unplugged and off:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
Then after it says waiting for device, plug the kindle on and wait for the device to say fastboot, from there you can boot back into windows and use kindle fire first aid to restore.

Hello,
I have found myself stuck in the same situation. I have the fastboot drivers installed and I can get into fastboot using your command. My question is about the version I have and the available restore versions.
I have the 8.4.6 software version. and I see in first aide that the newest for the HD 8.9 is 8.2.4.
I got stuck after a root attempt, the exploit worked but the files didn't install properly it seems. when I rebooted I just get stuck at the Kindle Fire screen no animation?
Any idea if it is safe to restore 8.2.4 on a 8.4.6 device? In uncertain if downgraded are safe.
Downgrades are perfectly safe, go for it.

Cool thanks man, just wanted to know if there were any big don'ts before I try the downgrade.
I'll give it a go tonight after dinner.
Stupid me used the old KFFA from the rooting thread to try and root (may or may not have been the issue). I have the latest now all ready to go for the restore attempt.
