i was wondering if any one has a easy way to root the G3 MM 6.0 stock..im looking for a One-Click roots
i want to delete all the bloat apps and unlock the phone settings to i can pick what cell band i want and enable wifi calling etc...i just need it rooted and i can do the rest, just not to good on the rooting part its been a while
FYI this is for the D850 AT&T
AT&T D850 MM has wifi calling build in, but I definitely concur with the need of a full root method for it. Perhaps it would improve the battery consumption issue. Android 5 I could leave the phone in standby mode over night and still have 100% battery the next day. MM uses 14-16% battery in standby mode
Been here all day looking for a method to Root this D85030K build.. Tried a couple, the purple drake, it pops up 2 cmd prmt windows that just hang there, no command to reboot device or request for me to enter DL mode, unless just take it on my own to do so and see..
The Oneclick brings me to some screen on phone claiming a firmware upgrade in progress 0% do not unplug, but the app states FAILED, so I've had no luck, unsure if anyone else has, someone said to use Stump, haven't done that yet...

I'll give you all the info I can as this has all happened since last night.
Yesterday I was bored, and decided to Root my SGH-I747M [Virgin Mobile, runs off Bell I believe] I used to jailbreak my apple products all this time, my S3 is getting old so I figured heck why not. I was curious about all the Kit Kat hubbub lol.
I Rooted it successfully, then installed the CyanogenMod 4.4 Nightly Custom Rom onto my phone.
That was also successful minus two things that happened, I don't like some of the features & I lost cell service [NOT due to and EFS/IMEI issues]
Decided to downgrade and unroot as the only reason for rooting was to install Kit Kat.
Unfortunately trying to Unroot something went wrong, after pushing start in Odin and my phone froze in Download Mode and Odin failed.
After rebooting my phone I got the typical "Firmware upgrade encountered a problem" so I hooked up to Kies, entered my phone model and s/n and did a full Firmware recovery.
Still had no cell service, could make calls but no SMS.
Found a post that said to take out battery, take out SIM card, boot, then take battery out, replace SIM and reboot.
I believe I have full service back with no issues.
But after the Kies recovery, I have this constant screen on my phone as picutred in the attachment!
I can use my phone, I can touch anything/everything it doesn't block anything thats behind it, but that screen stays. It goes away if I need to go into settings but it comes back shortly. My phone is also still set as "custom" in the info so I'm assuming it's still Rooted???
Update: A friend of mine suggest doing another Kies recovery. So I'm waiting for that now.
And I'm not sure if it's still rooted, Went to settings>More>About Device>Status> And Device Status reads Official.
Alrighty another update incase anyone reads this and can either help or point me to help lol, I am searching forums/google like crazy trying everything.... I figured out that the screenshot is showing me factory mode is on.
Turned it off, after re-rooting and installing SU/Root Explorer.
So factory mode is off, now my only problem is Mobile Network: Disconnected despite Service State: In Service and all the other stats seemingly normal?
It seems I can make calls, but I can not use data or send sms/mms.
So in a moment of stupidity I somehow was able to install a D855 rom on my AT&T D850 phone. Turns out these roms wont let me hear my phone calls and continually drop my data connection and cell service. Turns out I made another stupid mistake and forgot to make a backup of my phone . So I tried to do a factory restore back to D850 using the LGflasher method and I can't because I now have the D855 software on it and so I'm now stuck without the ability to make phone calls or have a reliable data.

What exactly have you flashed on your phone? Bump, root, KDZ/TOT file?
If you want to go back to stock you could either follow the guides on the forums or flash a .tot/.dll on your device, that way you get stock recovery, boot and rom etc..
I could link you the guides, but they are all in general forum or on Google
Good luck
So I used iOroot to root and then bump to put twrp on my phone. Then I decided it would be smart to flash the AndriodNow rom and then later the SphinX rom. I have tried to go back to stock but the lgflasher thinks my phone is a d855 because of the roms I flashed on it.
Hey everyone,
I am needing assistance on what ROM is good to run for my T-Mobile LG G3, unlocked device, on AT&T? Just to get it going, I wiped everything, including external SD, and had to run the flash tool and go with the C (stock) rom, then rooted with Stump root. I installed Dirty Unicorns, to get it going, but quickly ran into trouble.
Battery doesn't display correctly (100% all the time) and, I know its a feature thing, but when I Google search for numbers to call and click on numbers, it doesn't auto place them in the call screen. Also, my phone will randomly lose all cell signal (maybe its a modem issue??). When it loses signal it shows, to me, every possible APN in the world. When it is working, it only shows AT&T APNs.
Again, just looking for some guidance with anyone with knowledge of going to AT&T. Even pointing me in the right direction would awesome. Thanks in advance guys.

i use the stock rom from tmobile on my lg g3 but i use att service.
i found that the stock software works best for me, all i did was root and twrp, after that i used titanium backup to remove all apps and items related to tmobile then installed the stock lg g3 boot and shutdown animations so my phone is pretty much vanilla no branding except for the tmobile logo on the back cover which im ordering one that just says lg g3.
Really not sure what to do here, and I'm starting to get very frustrated, especially since I know exactly what the issue is and I can't find a solution... So here is everything I did up to this point in detail. I wanted to go back to stock for a while, but I remembered not being able to update at all last time I tried this. I used the LG Flash Tool to go back to 10b (I think? Earliest firmware out there) It started when my phone would tell me that "My Device was not registered yet" in the System Update settings. I did some Googling and found out it was because my IMEI number was blanked out (All zeroes), and I found a tutorial that was for the G2, but worked for the G3, to repair the IMEI. I first rooted with the LG One Click Root Tool when I got to Lollipop, used the IMEI that was under my battery, converted it to HEX and injected it into my phone with RF_NV_Manager, which was installed with QPST by Quallcom. After doing this, my IMEI was fixed, it matched the same IMEI that was under the battery on my phone, though I never texted or called anyone from there so I never noticed anything strange. I was able to update to the latest official Lollipop firmware, but then my phone started telling me I left the home network. Thinking it was just a glitch or something, because I had roaming issues before on stock, I switched to a custom ROM since that fixed it last time before I even knew that IMEI's existed. That didn't fix it at all. I was on LiquidSmooth Alpha and my phone will still go to roaming, and the way I would fix it was to piss around with the mobile network settings and change them back, then I would get 4G LTE for a few minutes, but I would NEVER be able to call or text. Since it was a discontinued ROM, I thought I just got unlucky, so I went to an official Nightly for CM12.1. At the moment I have LTE but no calling or texting... Then I found out that these issues tend to occur after IMEI fixes, so what do I do? Can anyone point me to a proper tutorial on how to fix this? After looking, I ended up downloading and installing something called EFS Professional 2.1 but now I'm even more confused...
EDIT: I tried going into ADB and inputting "adb reboot nvrestore" but that didn't fix it... The site said it's based on a backup that was automatically created when the phone was first built but that was on a completely different forum for a different phone. Going to try to flash back to stock KitKat.
EDIT: Alrighty! I'm getting somewhere! I flashed back to 10B with the Upgrade DL option, before I used Board DL. I can call and text now, as well as LTE, and OTA updates work, but I'm just going to root and go straight to the Nightly CM12.1 that I wanted to go to in the first place.
EDIT3: That seems to have done the trick. For people who have had issues with roaming after IMEI repairs, try flashing your stock TOT with the Upgrade DL option, then root and install your preferred ROM.
I've been trying to root my phone to turn on the volte since it seemed like rooting was necessary with Android 11.
I was following this guide here. As soon as it wiped itself, the wifi capability disappeared. It also takes between 3 and 6 minutes on the loading screen when rebooting.
I'd prefer to find a way forward so I can unlock volte and use my phone with my new carrier. The only other option is to buy a new phone which I really don't want since it's not even remotely old and it's a great phone.
Any and all advice/help would be appreciated. I backed things up before wipe and it can't become that much more useless so I'm willing to try basically anything at this point.
