Is it alright to use D855 motherboard on D851? I've sent my phone for warranty after I lost my imei and they say they need to change the motherboard and when I get it the software use D855. So does this mean I can flash D855 rom on my G3?

Hi all,
On my phone the software say that my model is D852G but when I remove the back, its printed D850.
What does that mean? Is it possible to change to D850 on the software?

I wouldnt recommend it
In your case its probably using D850 hardware but software wise its been rebranded as a D852G. I can safely say if you try to flash a D850 firmware i might work but you will probably encounter alot of issues like described in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/us990-converted-to-ls990-calls-data-t3088944
Your senario is just like the LS990 and the US990 and how they have the same hardware but different software
At first my lg g3 was showing model number as d855.but when I upgraded to mm using d855 kdz it bricked(hs usb qd loader brick) . With the help of a post here I recovered my device from brick but during the process I opened the back cover and found my original board in d851 instead of d855.so I flashed d851 images and my phone working with d851 rom with out any problem except 3g network issue. I cannot connect to 2100 mhz band which provide 3g here.
So I am trying to find a way to flash d855 rom in my device.
It is possible because my device was running in d855 rom earlier.
Plz help me
i have lg g3 D851 mobile
is in dead condition because of flashing wrong file.
phone needs to replace motherboard or is there any other task to solve the dead boot problem after flash wrong flash file
i tried so many ways but no result..finally i decided to replace motherboard
My question is
does lg g3 D855 motherboard is compatible in lg g3 d851 mobile????
i don't believe that replacing mobo is the only solution... first try a few tutorials to unbrick D851, then research about test point or how to force the phone to flash.
also maybe a professional can flash it via SPI flasher or something
Suggest me
Does lg g3 851 mobile body is replaceable by lg g3 d855 motherboard(logic board)
Yep ??
I changed my imei with QPTS Tool
Now my mobile imei woking fine and it gets network too
But one more problem is
When i enable 3g data connention then the symbol on status bar showing 4g symbol also same while using in 2g mode
How to solve this.........
Short long story
Purchased in USA LG G3 d855. It arrived with Lollipop 5.0.1
The phone was recognized as model 855m IMEI also detected as 855
Due to huge battery drain I decided to root, upgrade to 5.1.1
When flashed TWRP for 855 it brick the phone.
I have opened it and noticed that board is 851 model.
Recovered from brick using BoardDiag with 851 TOT.
So now the phone is T-Mobile, not detects LTE ( Im afraid 2G as well frequency).
IS it a way to restore it to origin situation or to more update D855 ROM?
