After downloading marshmallow on my LG G3 D850 everything seemed to be in order for a good week when one day randomly in class my phone gives me a "SIM card removed" notification. I shrugged it off thinking I can fix with a simple restart but the problem priests. I'm positive it can't be a problem with the pins or the SIM reader because at random reboots it would detect my SIM card but either read it as invalid or it ends up working for some time and then the problem comes back up. I tried factory resting it a countless amount of times and I figured out when it does work , I can't download apps or use things like Bluetooth or airplane mode without the problem coming back. This is very annoying and I reached a breaking point, is there a way to fix this? I can't seem find a method to root D850 on marshmallow meaning I can't downgrade. Does this mean I'm screwed?
Same issue
I'm having the same problem, but my phone started showing the "invalid SIM" or "SIM removed" messages while still on Lollipop. I updated to Marshmallow and it persisted, did a factory reset and it's still there, only thing i haven't done is rooting the phone, i've been having this issue for the last 3 weeks, it used to sporadic but today my phone has restarted over 15 times and now it's pretty much a brick.
Only thing that seems to make the phone stable enough to use i to switch off the data network and turn on wifi, i can make calls but as soon as i'm out of wifi range, all i can do is make calls...
I'm pretty new to this but I think this has to be a software issue, i already took my phone in and the repair guy told me, after cleaning the phone and checking the contacts on the SIM card tray that the LG G3 was coming in more and more with the same problem with no repair...
Checking online it seems more and more people are having this problem lately.... coincidence?
Has anybody figured this out????
"Sim Card Removed"
Same issue here on my lg g3, D855
Im also having the same issue have you found the solution
Has anyone found a solution to this?? Its happening to my phone
Same issue D855, but I use the marshmallow version since the first release.
The problem emerged without notice.
What happen?
Notification and message, to screen, "SIM card removed."
The phone automatically reboots.
Snap the signal for a little while, everything works for a little while.
Suddenly loses the signal and does not hook more mobile radio signal and I have to restart.
Sometimes it does 4-5 times a day, other times remains in use 24 hours without giving me any problem.
Already warned assistance, I have to send him assistance in their view, my warranty expires Oct. 6 (no contacts, because they are in plac, cleanest and most sim warheads)
Tested official ROM and also mod (FulmicsROM).
if you look for the "SIM card removed" message there will be other topics also on XDA for G3
I too started having this issue since yesterday. Any solutions?
I have the same problem for about 5 days on my LGG3 D855. My phone is rooted and running fulmics 5.3 ROM for about 5 months. I did a full recovery and I even changed my sim card but the problem is still there. Does anyone knows what's the problem?
Has anyone managed to fix this yet? I have a D852G with Vidéotron. I find it strange that this is happening right when my 2 year contract with them is up. Has downgrading the phone worked for anyone?
It seems to be an ongoing issue related to hardware. Most readings I've done from other forums, reddit, etc all point to the sim card reader beginning to fail. I can't for the life of me tell if that's the issue or if it is really software related.
I've opened up by device and checked the soldering connection points, everything seems fine (to my untrained eye). Putting a small cardboard/paper cut out in the sim card slot seemed to help, but otherwise, jeez.
same here. but on LS990. Tried KK, LP, MM roms. but no help. I don't know whether it's hardware related.
Same here... Tried MM and now nougat, same problem..
Will switch sims today and see what happens
I'm suffering with this issue also. D855, fulmics 6.7.
Mine seems to go into "No SIM Card -Emergency Calls Only" sometimes just randomly when the phone is on, but almost every time I switch my battery it does it (bloody stupid piece of crap). It's so annoying as I'm eating 5-10% of a freshly charged battery by frantically restarting my phone till the sim card becomes active again. I think it may be hardware related but this issue arose after the MM update for me. I can also report that my SDcard port doesn't work (keeps randomly ejecting) and hasn't worked for nearly a year now. But sim card still worked fine.
It's forcing me to feel the need to spend money on a new phone. Money I don't have right now! Money I don't really want to spend as my phone, other than that, is perfectly fine. Anyone had their sim+sd card reader replaced and still having this issue?
Let's bust this bull**** problem!

I gave my phone to a repair center and checked the sim tray. It's all good. They suspect the signal ic must have the issue. Furthermore they said even though i replaced it, chances of getting a roasted ic is still high. I don't know what to do.

You sure? Maybe you meant the G4? G4 has cpu problems
I've been having the exact same issue guys ??... and again phone surface temperature rises as phone keeps on rebooting to detect sim card... Anyone with a clue or solution to this yet???
My 2.5yr old G3 (D855) always on Kitkat 4.4.2, also suddenly had this problem, at first I thought my 18yr old sim card finally bite the dust, but then when I changed to a brand new sim, it happened again. Then I factory reset the phone, worked for a few days, then it happened once more, so pissed. Maybe it's just me but it seems like it's an international trigger or something to make all G3 users it's time to change a new phone. Going to buy alcohol later to try clean the contact points to see whether it's a hardware problem.
so guys, i totally unscrewed this G3, opened the metal acess doors to both the cpu and Nand Flash memory and wiped with methylated spirit... since then, my phone has not said anything about an invalid card

HI everyone, I am having one problem with my HTC Desire HD. after sometime of use, usually randomly the phone gives me a popup message saying that "UNABLE TO DETECT SIM CARD, PLEASE MAKE SURE THE SIM CARD IS PROPERLY INSERTED AND RESTART PHONE." when I get this message there is no other way but to restart the phone by click on the popup message buttons RESTART|SHUTDOWN options.
Firstly it started happening once in every 2 days, but then it became very regular, atleast 4 times a day I was getting this message.
I consulted HTC, they suggested me to check the SIM, reset the phone, try another SIM, take the battery out and restart the phone, but nothing worked. I was still getting the error message. I know the SIM is not faulty because when I use this very SIM in my Nokia phone, it works fine without any problems.
So HTC booked my phone in for repair back in April 2011. When the returned my HTC Desire HD they put a little note saying they couldn't find any problems with my phone. So I thought ok, that is weird. I started using the phone again, it was working fine for few days then I started getting the same error again. UNABLE TO DETECT THE SIM......
I booked my phone in for repair again with HTC in July 2011. This time HTC returned my phone without checking anything. I can say that because there was no note saying anything. And they also took my ZAGG screen cover off the screen as well
I presumed they have fixed it and started using the phone. But now I am getting the error messages again. And I have again booked my phone in for repair and asked the agent what did they repair on my last booking. The HTC agent said they don't have any logs of any kind of repairs. So that confirmed my doubts about the HTC repair centre not fixing anything on my phone.
I told the Agent please could they make sure that they repair this phone this time because it is really annoying me. I also requested if they can send me a replacement instead. Which they declined straight away saying that its been over 90 days since I bought this phone so I don't have that option anymore.
I know its a long explanation of my problem, but I had to explain the situation for other readers to understand clearly what the problem is.
I was wondering if anyone else have had the above mentioned error message on their Desire HD?
If so what have you done with it?
or is something I am doing wrong ?
Any input will be appreciated.
I felt sorry for you. Do you have checked the sim holder for any unusual state of behaviour? The holder may be loose and the gold circuit maybe isn't touching the sim card. Please do read this thread

Thanks for your reply and suggested solution. Unfortunately HTC have collected my phone today in the morning to get it repaired again (3rd time). Once I get it back I will try this solution. I am sure it will work fine as many users are reporting that it worked for them.
I used to have that problem. the sim card was just slightly slipping out and not touching the contacts properly. To solve this I use a small blob of blu-tack to hold it in place.
Ihad this problem but with my Xperia x10. The sim would work in all my other handsets but not in the X10. it was in the end the sim card. Swapped it out nad it has worked perfectly since. Do not discount it could be the sim card.
Now this has happened a few times and it's kinda annoying. I could be talking on the phone, browsing the net, buying an app or whatever, and all of a sudden a message pops up saying that my sim card was removed and the phone needs to be rebooted and i lose signal, then when i reboot it still acts as if i have no sim card inside(eventhough i never touched it)
I'm rooted(CDMA) and running codename's latest, i never understood why it does that, i don't think it's the rom(but i may be wrong)
Mine just started doing this today. Same exact error.
It can't be the rom because I'm on a completely different rom. I'm running on AOKP build 24.
It happened to me at work... I restarted the phone 3 times and nothing worked. It even displayed the wrong time. By like 4 hours off.
Finally when I got off work I restarted and it was working. Then I got home, started doing a little bit of web surfing and BAM..... lost signal, got the message sim card removed you must restart.
I did a little research and it appears that it could be the sim card going bad. Or somehow got loose. I took my sim card out. Pushed it in and out a few times. Put it back in, and so far so good (knock on wood). Its only been a few hours though. So time will tell.
If you rule out that its a bad card. Return your phone to stock before you take it to the store. Someone over at rootzwiki told me that they were checking to see if phones were rooted, even for a sim replacement.

I don't think so.... because when I looked it up, people were having this issue in December and January.
Also.... its been 24 hours since I pulled my sim card out and back in. And its still working fine now. Maybe I'm crazy, but it even feels like my signal strength is better now. But I don't want to jynx myself.
don't have a nexus. have sgs2 and this has been happening to me for the last month on and off although upon reboot, phone works fine. finally had the time to make it to the att store to get a new sim card. hoping there'll be no troubles though. any success here? :X
just started getting this error as well a few days ago. It's been pretty random as to when it happens, I have rebooted the phone numerous times and even re-seated the phone but still receiving the error from time to time.
I've probably seen the error 8 or 9 times in the past 3 days.
Wondering if anyone had their SIM replaced and if that solved the issue.
unlocked, rooted, stock Android.
I have an unlocked Tmobile S3 using it on WIND mobile in Canada with Frosty ROM and get this randomly, when I installed other ROM i didn't have this, but I love the ROM its great so I don't want to change
same problem!!
i've been gettin the same problem ever since i rooted too.. i dont think it specific to any ROM cz i first tried cyanogen but i had it.. then i tried omega, had it.. and now im runnin on Resurrection remix but i still get the msg from time to time whenever my data is on or sometimes even when im on wifi.. so i completely unrooted the phone and i didnt have the problem anymore.. but my need to try out different ROMs over took me again so i decided to root it and im having the same problem again!! thank god im not alone on this! lol
Mine did that a month out so ago about 3 times. I finally shut the phone down, removed the Sim card and reinstalled it. Haven't had a problem since.

Not sure what happened, but I've been using my S4 good. Out of no where it started acting up, freezing on me, etc. It's on latest firmware, 4.4.4 OK3. When i look under about phone, and check "service state", it would randomly say, "in service" then "radio off", "out of service" then go back to "in service". Also had/have a problem (haven't tested it for a good while yet, had old sim in and it gave problems, now using new sim, still did it one time atm.) with the phone saying "sim removed" or etc, like it cant find a sim? (weird part is my old sim works fine with other phones, my phone kept losing sim, sim no found, etc)
Weird, never had it happen, bars would go from 2 to 4-5, then drop to 1-3, or to 0 and go out of service. I did factory reset, but ofc it only went back to OK3 stock, tried to use previous modem that worked for me before problems started happening like NK2 modem, nope...still problems, so I flashed OK3 back for now. If i have good bars, and turn on mobile data, it would go out of service completely until i shut it off, cant use my mobile data. Anyone know what's the problem? Phone right now running with minimal apps installed, if you need more information, just ask. Thank you! in advance.
Used the phone for a day with new sim, still has problems freezing up on calls(screen), says sim removed...device needs to restart, etc. Would Flashing older Firmware to like Nk2 solve this? I havent had problems on older ones, but when i got OTA, used for couple months and having problems now. Service keeps being circle with line thru it, when u try to make a call it would say "cannot connect to network or registered on network", dbm was -113(usually -100-115), and asu was 0, when service cuts off, keeps finding service then loses it all day, finds it, then make few calls, and loses it, keeps searching for it. Would flashing OK3 firmware solve it? Maybe OTA went wrong? Idk...or maybe go back to a stable rom 4.4.2?

Not sure how it could have been damaged, it was always in a case.(guess i saw a video where a guy said they sometimes go bad on gs4's) Phone already been used for pretty good 1.5-2yrs. Phone freezing up, etc would result in a bad sim reader? Anyway to test that it really is a bad sim reader?(if it did go bad)
Was the sim card used with a sim adapter?
I suggested the possibility of a damaged SIM card reader because of the "sim removed" error message.

The previous sim that was origionally used in GS4, was used with sim adapter in an older phone that needed a standard sim, so this micro sim was was in adapter in an older phone, worked perfectly fine on Gs4(no sim adapter, just the micro sim), i even got a new sim card off ebay and changed over my number to new sim, and still phone is freezing up on calls, using it normally now, the signal would find the Carrier, then would lose it so many times, then tries to find it, then loses thru out the day, it's annoying as hell. Never had the problem of losing signal, having out of service sign(circle with line thru it), had good service everywhere till now. I even did a factory reset, started up phone up new, still problems with "sim removed" device needs to restart time to time, losing and catching signal a lot, or no service. Anyway to test/find out it really is a bad sim card reader? Just don't want to do 100's of things and it's not it. Phone it used for work ofc. Let me know if i should try anything, before buying a sim card reader, if it really is the problem.
How is the sd card reader? Both readers come as a single unit and they are not too expensive on eBay.

Not really sure, how the sd card reader is...Haven't really used it, as i didnt really need it. I could try and get back to you on that. Yeah, i checked on ebay, they r like 5$ or so, but still the hassle of replacing it, and it's not it. I'll get back to you how sd card works...etc.
Edit: Just tested my brothers Sd card with tons of pictures and videos on it. Put it in my phone, can easily look thru pictures and videos, unmounted couple times, put it in, works fine without any problems. Any ideas?
Also read online about sim error problem, and lots of people are saying it could be a hardware problem, and need to apply pressure to the ribbon of the sd/sim card.
Phone is working fine without the simcard inside, good bars, sometimes it goes low/no bars, or out of service, but still less then it is with a sim inside for some reason.

This is a known issue with the S4. Mine did the exact same thing. I have researched this and tried every fix under the sun, and nothing worked. I even bought a new sim card tray and replaced it. Nothing worked, and I babied this phone. My wife and daughter also have the S4 the same age and theirs are fine. I gave up and bought a new phone. Wish I could give you better news.

So you pretty much saying it's a hardware issue and nothing can be done to solve it? Thought maybe flashing older firmware or something might solve it, perhaps a hiccup in OTA update or the latest patch that could've caused it. Kinda sad to just throw it away when it was working soo good.... =/
OK, one question? How is the inside of your phone that damaged and beat up? Jeez man, take better care of that thing.

It is sad. And if you google the problem, you'll see a lot of S4 owners were mad that Samsung doesn't acknowledge the issue. I think somewhere on this site you'll find this subject covered in full. Some of the fixes work for a short time, but ultimately it is a hardware problem. Some think it's the NFC chip that is right under the tray (supposedly) that heats things up and causes the malfunction. Whatever it is, it has turned my S4 into a infrared remote for my TV, a Chrome caster for Netflix and Hulu, and an iPod Touch!

Rofl....At least you're still putting it to a good use It was a pretty good phone too rofl. Have you tried everything from putting a piece of foam(ear plug) over the ribbon for the sd/sim that lots of people talked about, etc? I guess if there is no real solution, I'll get get a new phone, prolly an iphone or w.e., had an eye on Gs6 Active cuz of long battery, durable, dust/water proof, etc, Gs6 is nice too but I'm in construction, and it's always in my pocket, need something that can last, and you know, keep a good charge while using everyday use like gps, listening to music, etc. What did you go for after your Gs4 stopped on you?

Yes sir, tried them all!
I like a large screen, The S4 was the first phone I owned that had a screen larger than 4". So, I had to go even larger now. I picked up an Nexus 6 when they dropped the price after the 6P came out. My wife and daughter still have their S4's, so I keep up with the latest here for them.
damn shame... i just dropped to 4.4.4 with the NH7 kernal and modem set... still nada. I had a bit of luck with the separating the right side of the phone trick for a bit, but even that doesnt work anymore... I have a note 3 that im using for a daily driver... but i really find its too large for my taste. The s4 was pretty close to the perfect size for me. Prob gonna scoop up an S6 in a couple weeks. Ill keep it around as desk clock prob and a back up for when i drop and smash the s6 to pieces. I swear the wifi and bt were working till i installed the JDCTeam MM build back in december i think. Which made me think it was software related. Ever since then its been doneski... But tbh at this point, everythings pointing to hw issues...
this $#!T is weird...
I admit defeat...
Well, looks like i kept getting the stupid sim card removed often even with w.e solutions i tried to use. Then out of nowhere my usb port stopped working altogether(cant charge my battery now lol). I give up, don't want to waste money into usb port, then something else falls apart rofl. My other Gs4 also worked for 2.5yrs or so, and died. R.I.P Galaxy S4's lol. Don't think they were built to last.
Hi, I installed the 8/20 CM 13 release on my S4 using CWM and it will (about 2-3 times a day) not recognize my sim card and tell me to restart. When it does recognize it, everything works well. To get it to recognize it again, I have to power off, pull the sim, power on, then power off again, and restart with the sim in. I searched and read that changing the modem/radio (modem.bin) drivers will usually fix it. Can someone please point me to the correct drivers and install instructions?
Does the phone do the same thing when running the latest stock ROM? If it does, there could be a problem with the sim card reader.

No. That's what I need to know how to update. I loaded CM 13 and that's it. I didn't change the bootloader or modem. Honestly I don't know what a bootloader is.
I have baseband version M919UVUFOK3
If you flashed the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com, the phone would have the latest bootloader and modem installed.
A bootloader is similar to the BIOS of a desktop or laptop computer.

So was i supposed to flash the latest stock rom before installing a custom ROM?
I suggested flashing the latest stock ROM because that is the easiest way to ensure the phone's modem and bootloader are up to date and should be done just before you start flashing custom ROMs. It doesn't have to be done every time you want to flash a custom ROM.
Same here..

Apparently this is a common hardware issue with S4, something to do with the battery fluctuating voltage to the sim card reader, I recently found out from a repair shop, whose only solution was to downgrade to stock. Heck no, I got Nouget and ain't turning back! Mine doesn't ever have an issue while it is charging. I flashed over a dozen different roms, tried using a few different modems (even stock), read somewhere that you can press a thin cardboard against the back of the sim card against the holder, that didn't work, tried to blow air into the holder, didn't work either, used different bootloaders, nope, preyed to god that I would not miss a call while I slept, nada, don't rely on wake up calls! Tried a new battery, that might have worked for abt a week.. but the dreaded "SIm card removed" message returned!! So I had some drinks and it got some too.. and I watched it get thrown at me and skip off a table, felt it burn up in the summers, in my pocket on many occasions, this phone has been through many adventures in the past couple years and still works great, never even cracked the screen! < knock on wood > This phone can take a beating, compared to many other phones I've had. Other than the fact the reception isn't amazing, I really love my S4 model 919, its fast, compact enough, great display, good bat life, but like every phone it has it flaws. I'm sure that they wouldn't purposely f with their phones so once its modded it gives you an annoying random bug that would make you want to buy a newer S.
The question is how long you can endure the pain of rebooting every few hours, so why not upgrade??
Samsung want you to UPGRADE TO NEW IMPROVED S5,S6,S7,S80..!!
UPGRADE OR NEVER LEAVE AC OUTLET!!! hahaha
.. Personally, I probably will buy a S7 soon as it drops price ( I have a really active life) but for now I just deal with it.
>>> I'm more worried about when someone is gonna fix the video camera for Nouget !! Big up to ResurrectionRemix and XDA!! <<<
ps.. I don't ever remove the sim card, just a full reboot is all mine needs. GL

Same issue here..
Just a thing I observe. When my sim card shows is disconnected or sometimes after reboot is even showing that my sim card is not inserted, I cannot turn on my mobile data and the sim card app is missing from app drawer and from application manager.
I really don't know if its a software or hardware issue.
Sometimes I get this error randomly, even when my phone is standing still on a table and I don't use it.
Thanks for the replies. So, I got a new SIM card and it seems to be working much better than before. My old SIM had a huge scratch on it, so I suspect part of the issue might have been that. I've also kept it in balanced power mode, and I noticed it happens more in battery saving mode. I've also been trying to keep it plugged in as much as possible, and I have extra charged batteries I swap in. It will also start working after a reboot and I don't have to pull the battery and card like I described before. I still haven't tried to change the boot loader or modem.
Edit: I'm also having an issue with not being able to download MMS unless I'm on WiFi
Are the apn settings correctly entered?

Hi, I installed the 8/20 CM 13 release on my S4 using CWM and it will (about 2-3 times a day) not recognize my sim card and tell me to restart. When it does recognize it, everything works well. To get it to recognize it again, I have to power off, pull the sim, power on, then power off again, and restart with the sim in. I searched and read that changing the modem/radio (modem.bin) drivers will usually fix it. Can someone please point me to the correct drivers and install instructions?

This is a known issue (not CM related); contact your carrier for a replacement.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Just an update: I'm still having this issue, but have just been living with it and trying to keep the phone charged. It seems to happen less on WiFi and when I'm actively using cellular data. Some apps seem to make it worse. I'm probably going to try a different release.

hello, can you guys help with this issue? looks like it is not just an A72 problem, but also on other models.
the notification is very frequent, and happens even while the phone is on standby.
what i tried so far
a 128gb sandisk extreme pro (old phone)
a 64gb sandisk extreme (gopro and camera)
a 64gb sandisk extreme (brand new)
a 32gb samsung evo plus
also
restarting the phone
unmounting the card and restarting the phone
physically removing and card from the phone and putting it back with phone shut off
removing the card and error checking it (in windows, using a card reader) then formatting it
formatting again on the phone
getting into the recovery mode and wiping the dalvik cache
full/factory reset

An SD card was removed unsafely. To prevent your phone from restarting... notification
Ever since the big update to Android 11 / One UI 3 I've been getting the "An SD card was removed unsafely. To prevent your phone from restarting unexpectedly, save unsaved data and restart your phone" notification, many times a day. After the update and prior to having this error, I have not...

Receiving the same notification with Samsung Evo 128 GB. The only solution I see as of now is to report the issue in Samsung Members and wait for a bug-fix.

Thanks, After doing 2 reports they told me to get my phone checked at a local samsung service. Seems like they are denying that it is a software issue. I really hope everyone reports it because it doesen't look an hardware issue to me, and I have difficulty on sending it to a local service...
edit. they are DEFINITELY asking me to look for hardware issue...
I have never gotten this notification on my A71 and A72, and I'm using an samsung evo.
Be 100% sure, that it's not hardware fault, before assuming it's the software. Is the SD card really locked in the tray? It shouldn't fall out when rotating the tray upside down. And there should be no dust in the tray also.
The golden connectors on the sd card needs to be clean too, make sure there is no fat/dirt on the golden connectors.

I assured all that. I even cleaned one of the cards with a rubber then gently rubbed with a clean pieceyof cloth. Today I'm getting a replacement and I will try that. It seems weird that other people around the world are having the same issue after Android 11 update.
The same error here, on a A72. I will wait for an update from Samsung and report it as well.
Same error here on the A72. I have a 512GB Samsung Evo Select (purchased directly from Amazon a couple of months ago) and it was working perfectly fine in my S20 FE but when I put it in the A72 it started giving me the error messages, even when I'm not accessing the SD card. So annoying. I'm convinced it's a software bug. There's a few with this phone. Updated it yesterday and on 30x zoom it actually saves the photo as if it were taken on 20x zoom, so the framing is way off.

for some reason the new unit didn't have the problem.. BUT it is under repair now since it had stuttering while recording. it also had a bad vibration motor (looks like they are not replacing that...) they are replacing the motherboard so who knows.. i think i'm gonna ask another replacement after the "repair"(they couldn't even reproduce the issue and they are changinh the mobo just because...) seems like quality control on samsung side is really poor. at least on middle range phones.
Do a low level format with a 3rd party app (not Windows) on the card.
Let the phone then format it.
Then load the data to the card while in the phone.
I would say if it still does it after that it's the phone ☠firmware☠
I don't update firmware if my OS is running fast and stable (hint)... and don't have any issues
Still happily running Pie...

i did that many times. one a72 had the problem, another not. but now i'm having the mobo replaced, so who knows... the same sd cards working perfectly fine on one and giving back the error on the other one... many other users are reporting the problem on the official forum for a72 and a52... never updated anything, came like this right out of the box

guys.. this is incredible... i went to samsung local service and they replaced the motherboard because i had an issue with the video stuttering while recording (NOT the sd removed issue)
guess what? after the motherboard was replaced i started getting the sd removed notification! i think there is a big flaw in the manufacturing process and it may be an hardware problem... i'm trying to get a THIRD unit and see what happens... i really don't know anymore...
update
for some reason i stopped getting the message. on the repaired phone and on the new one. may be the april update, or not (on the official forum other people with the same update keeps getting the error) but at least for me this is fixed (the phone has other issues tho...)
Having the same issues with an A52 5G.
See:
SD Card Issues
Well just picked up my new A52 5G really enjoyed it at first but now my SD card keeps getting unmounted every time I restart the phone. ( The best part about this is the SD cards are made by Samsung tried 2 different ones both are 128G) (SAMSUNG...

After the last update i didnt get the notification again, im using sandisk ultra 64gb
I haven't seen this message for some time now, and for a reason I didn't want to bring it up
Hope they have solved it with an update, but it would be honest and brave if they had admitted there were issues.
Just ignoring the many complaint in Samsung Forum is not a good thing to do.
To ALL here...I too have been getting the same message with my new A72 & the unseated SD card - multiple times throughout the day, to the point I have to carry the opening pin with me. I've only had it 5 days now.
The problem is the flimsy cheap plastic tray - it's not a software problem folks.
I have found just pushing the tray in unseats the SD card.
I've also experimented with flexing the tray slightly verses just pushing it straight in...no difference - the top of the SD is unseated no matter how I push it in. Holding the SD doesn't help either
It must be constantly checked as I push it in slowly, checking & rechecking the SD. I have noticed it is constantly unseated all the way in. Once I get the tray carefully to that last point where it's mostly inside, I push it in quickly & restart the phone...it may take a while but invariably I get the dreaded message again...& for seemingly no reason - I havent dropped it but maybe it's just a vibration it doesn't like, like putting it down a bit roughly!
I'm taking it to my local samsung store today to see what they have to say.
Not good enough. We need a stable non flexible tray... full stop!!! I'll post again when I talk to them...

Try using a spacer like thin cut pieces of tape under or on the card. Holder or card may be out of specs...
As per my post last night the samsung store guys were surprised by the issue.
That did suggest sending the phone to samsung for analysis & then if the tech says it is a flaw I take it to the seller for "repair"
I doubt samsung will replace the tray with a better one though & frankly don't want to give my phone & all its data up...
I'm going to try taping the SD in place with a clear 'sticker' & see it that works!
