Anyway to switch the stock Google emoji with the more colorful Samsung/apple ones?

I also asked this question a while ago but didn't get any help, but I did manage to change the emoji. Just use the Emoji Switcher app after following the steps.

You could use Go SMS which has some nice themes. You can find it here.
There are 5 themes pre installed. Open messaging app, press menu button, click setting and choose skin.

Does anyone know if we can download more themes/skins for the messaging app? and if so, where to get them?
Hi,
I know there is a solution to display emoji on android like "emoji font updater (root)" but that one is only in black and white.
Is there another way to see and type emoji icons on Android in Color? Or is this impossible?
I'm running 4.0.3 AOPK build 18 on my Galaxy Nexus.
thanks,
Bump
Nobody has anything on this?

If you use third party messenger apps like handcent or chomp, emoji icons can be shown with the right plugins..
I hope this is helpfull.

thats the thing, i didnt want to have to use a 3rd party messenger app.
Does anybody know a way to edit the black & white emoji font and replace the emojis with the colored ones from 3rd party apps/iPhone?
I'm certian this is possible...
I am currently trying to get emoji to work with kii keyboard(i think it has great potential).
The problem I am having is that the emoji icons do not show up in my mms app (a stock oasp one).
They do show up on the recieving phone which is a SGS2 running cm10.
I am running JellyBam, and have tried several mms.apks.
Did anyone get emoji to show up using kii keyboard?
Is there maybe another awesome gesture type keyboard i am not aware of that has emoji support?
There is a mms app in the themes and apps section that did enable emoji

Emoji support needed to be enabled from within messaging app settings.

Can anyone integrate Emoji icons into the stock Messaging app for 4.2.1? I don't want to use 3rd party applications for messaging.
Thanks in Advance.

Can't you just enable it in the settings of the stock messaging app anyway and just check the "Emoji Support" option. It's there on mine but I'm not sure if the messaging that comes with ParanoidAndroid is the same as stock

On Paranoid you have to flash the Emoji Keyboard to be available.

This is exactly what I required. Thank you so much
If you have the stock app, go to settings > language & input > android keyboard settings > add-on dictionary > install emoji for English. Go back and enable it. A simple long press on the space bar and voila, emoji.

If doing this, does the emoji keyboard that come with the phone have to be installed? The iwinnime, isn't that emoji.. Because I deleted all but android keyboard when I got the phone. And when I do your instruction, I don't see anything when long pressing spacebar

Yes, it has to be completely stock. It adds emoji to the suggestions when you're swiping. The one posted above works better if you've already started making changes to your phone.

how come that iwinnime keyboard emoji icon is all black and white? is there a color version like the iphone emoji for android?
Is there anyone who could make the stock TouchWiz 4.4.2 messaging apps with IOS Emojis added to it? Or is this a keyboard feature? I remember having it on my nexus but I can't remember how.

i believe if you download xposed theres a mod in there that deals with you being able to change the emojis thru the system
Just hold the microphone key button and then click the smiley face

He means if there's a way to change the way the emojis look. I'd like to change the way mine look to how AOSP has them with the yellow blob looking dudes haha.

You can flash this on ANY android device running kitkat and it will replace the font with iOS colored Emojis system wide ? (Google keyboard and all apps will show the iOS ones)

Works perfectly.
None of these worked for the Stock messaging app. Im using Swiftkey if that makes a difference.
