Hi everyone,
I don't why the community behind such a gorgeous device is so small. I know it's not one of the powerful flagship of this year but imho we don't really need all the power of a snapdragon 820 like processors or whatever for everyday's use.
That thing said (maybe not in the right thread although), I wanted to share with you some bumper's actually available. I ordered one of them so will share pic's when I get it.
Oh my, I didn't know I can't share links as I just registered so just leaving the names, a search on your favourite search engine will pop up the pic's for you.
I will update the post when my restriction is removed. Or better if anyone willing to create a post with these data's let me know, I'll delete this one.
Luphie aluminium bumper case.
Seems like there's two versions on the market actually :
The first version is just the metal bumper without any protection for the back. That's the one I've ordered(black).
You can find it in several colors (red, black, grey, champagne, rose gold and silver).

The second version is accompanied with a sheet of tempered glass for the back.
The tempered glass comes in 2 colors (black or white) and the bumper itself comes in two colors too (silver or gold).
DolDer Huawei p9 Ultra Slim bumper.
This one is similar to the second version of the luphie bumper.
It has the aluminium frame/bumper and an added sheet of frosted plastic.
The bumper itself comes in gold, blue turquoise, grey, red, black and rose gold.
Hope to see more post for P9 in the future.

Hmm not sure if we're talking about the same device..
I have bought one in alixpress and it has to come to me. The fumdas make it very ugly and this bumper protects it but it continues being nice
I have the Luphie bumper without a back, it's surprisingly well built and seems to protect the phone well enough (the edges anyhow). I had to stop using it though since the design is flawed in one area. There is a hole in the bumper to allow you to hook up your headphones to it while it's on, but it's way to small to allow anything but tiny jack plugs to be hooked up to it. Unfortunate, but I guess that's the price to pay for something that essentially covers up the entire sides of the phone.
I do not understand. You mean you can not connect the usb? Thank you
---------- Post added at 09:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:22 AM ----------
Now I understand. You say the audio jack to put speakers does not fit all. And that's with all the jacks? Thank you
He's correct...I have the same bumper and the same issue. I got around it by buying this adapter from Amazon which has a smaller AUX jack and it works great with the bumper now.

Just adding some real life picture's :
The packaging : comes with a little screwdriver and 2 extra screws. I somehow managed to lose one of the screw used to fix the bumper on the phone so the extra screws were welcome.
The bumper before assembly :
After assembly :
You can see here that the holes are not aligned perfectly but enough aligned to charge and put 3.5mm jack easily (in my case) :

Nothing, I heard that some people get wifi/data issue, in my case nothing. Maybe because the 4 antenna hole's are perfectly aligned.
Although I don't think I'll keep the bumper, coming from a Htc M7, the phone really feels too large (to me) with the bumper
Thank you. He is believing that the bumper was thin and did so big the smartphone had bought. It is a downer?

Hello! Thank you for sharing pictures of your wonderful case. Does this case have a soft lining inside? Or is it just metal on the inside as well? I'm interested in this case but worried that it may scratch the beautiful edges of the phone.
Thanks,
Alan
Hello,
I tried this one. But i stopped because i lost huge signal power (wifi no more working, data very very low, and no more bluetooth). So i bought a tpu case, and everything works great, and with tpu case no more P9 escape and keep's P9 beautiful design ok....

Hi, i bought this metal bumper (Luphie) from aliexpress. Looks realy good a all holes are perfectly. Only problem is decreased signal quality. Both GSM and WIFI. Its not total lost of signal (around 20- 30 %) but i believe that at the end it will have impact also on battery life.
I stopped using my alu bumper (Luphie) because the decrease in signal strength was too much in the countryside where I live. I tried drilling the holes bigger but to no avail.
It's a pity because the finish and build quality was great. If you are in an area with good signal (big cities) and don't bother losing a bit of signal, it's perfect.
Hey everyone, just got the Luphie bumper from Amazon and it fits perfectly.
Quick, silly, question: the bumper has loads of black stickers inside of it, phone still fits with them. Do you have to remove them or keep them? If someone could answer this stupid question, since it came with no instructions
Related
I know there are a few (<1mm) dimensional differences between the OEM and ma bell's variant. Anyone actually try to see if it fits?
EDIT:
So, just got the case, and glad to say that it is a perfect fit, save for the top mic being slightly covered (which is fairly immaterial imo).
The fit and finish are absolutely top grade. The case does not seem to affect radio signals nor accessibility of the battery cover, headphone jack, speaker and microphone.
It's important to note that the phone with the bumper on feels nice and secure in my hands. I have 'standard-sized' hands, and found the phone alone slippery, as if it were about to jump out of my hands at any point. After adding the bumper, grasping the side of the phone makes it feel much more secure and actually easier to use. Much less awkward.
On with the pictures.

Really big box for a small package inside.
Shows where to install foam tape.
Very nice and snug fit, with zero play- before adding foam tape.
Foam tape in place now that I know the phone fits well.
Perhaps they left this bare for a wrist strap? Though, I didn't notice a slot for one on the international version. In any case (pun?), the bumper case seems to extrude far beyond the exposed part.
Not the best angle, but the loudspeaker is perfectly centered, and fully exposed.
Note the mic port (bottom of phone). Fully exposed, near-perfect alignment.
The volume and power buttons are still easily triggered, although they seem recessed within the bumper. You have to use the cushioning of the finger, as opposed to the tip however.
Standard headphone jack fits snugly, without contacting the bumper.
The tiny bump on the back of the case, part of the headphone jack surround, provides a 1mm clearance. Since the camera module slightly protrudes, the actual camera clearance, at it's lowest point, is about a 0.5mm. While this is far from sufficient on a rough surface, it is good to know that sliding it across a flat surface such as a table or desktop will not damage the camera.
A good 1mm+ of clearance on the front side.
will be good.
u can order
thanks. hope i'm not a guinea pig here
let me know how it goes for you... i'd love to use one of these.

Word of warning - I bought the case mate case with the metal back (http://www.case-mate.com/Samsung-Ga...-S-II-Barely-There-Brushed-Aluminum-Cases.asp).
Very nice case but killed GPS.
Without the case immediate fix.. with the case no fix at all. Had to get rid of.
I have a feeling all metal cases will have the same issue.
I wonder if that was just because of the metal back, or just metal in general. I hadn't read anything negative about the Taurus bumpers, in regards to GPS signal.
Worth testing though, having just come from a Captivate I'm a little sensitive about my phones GPS capabilities

With the european version and the Taurus GPS works perfect! Really a great bumper, I hope it fits for you guys!
We're talking about a .7mm difference in height as the biggest difference in size between the two devices. I know it's aluminum, but it's SO close... unless it's landing-on-the-moon precise, I feel like it's got to fit!
I hope so anyway, every other case I've seen is gigantic and really defeats the purpose of having such a slim phone.
No GPS Issues (still works indoors)
Gives a great sturdy feeling.
DOES NOT provide any clearance to the rear camera lens (stock battery).
Very very close to the same offset on the backside.
Gave me my missing Lanyard attachment point via a loop through the speaker hole.
I'm loving it in Gunmetal

Yea what do you mean with no camera clearance?. I have the generic Case mate one at the moment but would love a metallic one as that would go epic great together with my keyport.

Ugh it provides no protection to the camera like the CaseMate one does. The case mate cover at least lifts the rest of the phone high enough so that the camera bit is not extending out beyond the backside and thus you avoid scratches to the lens etc.

I mean, I wouldn't mind a full metal one. IF it actually covered the back as well and lifted the general phone off the deck enough for the camera "housing" to not scratch against the table etc.

Agreed. What makes me even more optimistic is the fact that if you check out some installation videos on Youtube, when applying the case, you place a rubberized seal between the bumper and the phone itself. This protects the phone from the bumper itself, and also provides a more snug fit, as opposed to a hard-on-hard surface.
I expect the case later today (10/14/11). Promise to report how it goes as soon as I get my hands on it, and will include UHQ photos of the install.
Perhaps this thread should be moved to 'AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Accessories'?

First look was that the package looked luxury!
Some pics:
Unpacked:
As you can see all the cut-outs are perfectly and smooth, very smooth!!!
No foam inside, but you can easily place some isolating tape or something on the flat spots inside, but it needs to be very thin because the phone has little space in it.
The bumper looks very beautiful and the click system works very good. All the edges line up perfectly with the roundings of the phone...
There is some movement of the phone in the bumper, but it is very minimal. I'm gonna place some thin tape inside the bumper and then it will fit very snugg.
Signal drop photo's removed, not good to compare but I get full bars at home and now at the trainstation:
This was my review, feel free to comment:good:
So, it is looking really good. But too bad signal drop?
Thanks for the review!
But change the title of the thread, it says mobicrap...
they GUARANTEED you would not get a signal drop, and you even got a drop even while on wifi. sounds like mobicrap to me.
thanks for saving me 80 bucks.
I wonder of the 4g one would have had less drop.
They didn't said no drop, only good signal.
But let's not start that discussion again;p
I placed some isolation tape on the inside, and fits now very snug

looks nice but is it plated plastic?
i'm rocking the draco design bumper and it's a very nice machined aluminum with a bit of signal drop which i'm ok with the main issue I have with it is i can't put my aux head phone jack in my car thus leaving me without audio so I'm probably going to hunt for a cable with thinner connectors so it could fit into the headphone jack
It's aluminium
So I can say, it has almost no signal drop, full bars and a little higher signal.

can i ask why? gold plating does not really cost much (when you are talking about a nearly 100 dollar case), and judging by the finish, it is not that high of a quality job. there as flaws (some pitting, and tooling marks).I would be willing to bet it IS gold plated... not 24k or even 14k but gold. besides, without plating, duralumin will corrode quickly.. it NEEDS some sort of plating to last.

So then what's the point of paying $80 it? I think its way too high of a price. The Draco is too high for just a bumper case but that one even looks better than this one. This one looks good but the Draco looks better. I've spent a lot of money on cases in the past but I wouldn't spend more than $30 on a bumper case

You don't have to put some tape on the inside, it doesn't damage because the inside is smooth and you don't have to slide it in.
I placed the phone in the bumper by pushing it down, instead of sliding it from the bottom to the top.
Also a plus for me is that the edge around the screen doesn't cover the white, it stops at the grey from the sides
If you want a harmonic bumper, buy an Triobump, Draco or whatever.
I like this one and suits for me

No that's not possible, but the system to open the case works very good, you can get the phone out in just seconds.
I also have to note that you can't use an other backcover!!!
This case fits perfect around all the roundings and corners, and with a metal batterycover the added thickness won't work.
I really love this because with the cheaper bumpers you see open places, mostly at the corners on the back.
This one fits tight around al corners and roundings
Not against you, but dont you think they are false advertising the product, on the 3rd photo, it does indicate that you can remove the battery without removing the bumper, and don't you think there is a design problem, why did they have a cut out next to the headset socket for the battery cover cut out.

It is not a design problem I think, more brands with cases have this so I think it's more design then functionally..
Removing the batterycover isn't generally possible because the bumper should have more space between the cover and the bumper. If you do that it can't hold the phone anymore

Does it affect the signal strength?
Hey everyone, back again with another case review for you guys. Let me know if you have any questions or if you've already bought it I'd like to hear your take on it as well. I've posted a ton of pics but none of them are with my Black HTC One installed so if you want those just hit me up and I'll set aside some time for picture taking.
The retail packaging is thoughtfully considered. It prominently displays the case front and center while offering a detailed description of the features and functionality on the back. I'm not entirely sure of every brick and mortar store they can be found in but when I walked into my local Sprint store a couple of weeks ago, the Incipio retail package for the Note 2 immediately caught my eye.
DESIGN
I'm going to just come out and say it, the DualPro CF is my absolute favorite case by Incipio. Immediately after unboxing it, there was something different about the way it felt in the hand, it felt right. It reminded me of the first time I picked up the HTC One and I like that a lot. It combines the necessary protection with a side of rugged fashion that I have yet to see on any other case. It's as if they decided to shave off as much bulk as possible from the DualPro while still retaining everything that made it great.
The silicon core provides a soft shock absorbant layer of protection which clings to the front side of your device not allowing any dust, sand or other particles from sneaking in and scratching the HTC One. I went to the park with my daughter and although originally concerned that one of the sides would lift and let in a grain of sand, I found that it wasn't the case. The reason I mention that is because I've tried out tons of cases and they all have their own execution of what we call the "lip". The DualPro CF is distinguished by what I like to call a wedge design instead of the rounded edges which gradually rise and give an almost flat look to the top of the case.
Every port is adequately accessible with only the volume rocker fully sealed off which believe it or not actually makes them easier to distinguish and press. No need to wonder if the power button/IR blaster is hindered as it is nicely recessed and easy to press. Cutouts for both microphone ports, 3.5mm headphone jack and most importantly the Ultrapixel camera on the back are nothing short of perfect.
There is a beautiful Carbon Fiber pattern on the back side of the case which I've found makes small scratches almost impossible to detect but the same can't be said for the transparent smoke sides which have picked up a few visible knicks but nothing that would compromise the construction of the product. The Carbon Fiber pattern is smooth and undetectable by running your finger over it which seems a bit strange but it looks fantastic and has not flaked off or rubbed off despite my constant use on hard surfaces.
BUILD QUALITY
The two part protection offered by the DualPro CF above average. I've dropped it a few times, nothing major but enough that it has protected my HTC One from some scratches and possible dents and for that I am thankful. The silicon core is extremely flexible and thin except in the exposed areas which are reinforced. These areas include the top and bottom where the ports are located and no hard shell is present.
The case is compatible with most dry installation screen protectors but I don't think it would fit any of the tempered glass ones although I didn't actually have a chance to try that out myself. The specific color depicted in the images above is the Silver one but now that I also have the Black HTC One I kind of wish I knew what it looked like outfitted with tone on tone. If you wish to know the exact measurements please refer to the following:
Length: 5.57 in (141.48 mm)
Thickness: 0.11 in (2.79 mm)
Width: 2.87 in (72.90 mm)
Depth: 0.51 in (12.95 mm)
Weight: 1.4 oz
CONCLUSION
At first glance the DualPro CF gives off a sophisticated look with dual layers of protection and a beautiful carbon fiber finish which make it perfect for the workplace. It fits right in on your desk at work, a day at the park or on a night out on the town. It retails for $34.99 and is available in either Silver/Black (as seen above) or Black/Black although I'm sure you could find a deal or two if you look around Amazon.

Nice review! Got same exact case yesterday and fully agree with you.
My only dilemma is: should I use case at all? This phone is too beautiful to hide. I pay for the design and now it's hidden under (beautiful) case.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I take the case off while at work to randomly hold it and just stare at it lol but when I get up to go somewhere I never forget to put it back on and it's saved it a few times already.
What is that stand ? I want one...
It's called a Podprop comes in different colors and I LOVE it especially when I take my case off, the material is soft so I'm not afraid of it getting scratches
Have you noticed any Speed or connection issues with WIFI or Mobile Data with this case on? I recently got the Dual Pro Shine case, which is basically the same as this case but not carbon fiber, its a fake plastic brushed aluminum. I have noticed a lot of problems with WiFi and Mobile Data with the case on, most of the time it wont even connect to LTE! I just wonder if I exchanged mine for the CF one if I would have the same issue.
No sir I am getting the same signal strength with and without the case on. Could be do to having a silicon layer in between that helps with that, who know.
Ok, thanks a lot for the quick reply. I got the Dual Pro Shine Silver. So its basically the same as this, but not CF, its like brushed aluminum. Its this case: http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-HT-355-DualPro-Shine-Case/dp/B00BJH1DRW
I read a few people had issues with WiFi, but not mobile data. It's almost like night and day with case on and case off. Lets hope they will exchange it for sometime else!
Thanks again man!
Oh gotcha, wow yeah that sucks not sure why the SHINE case would cause that big of a problem. Let me know what they end up saying.
Just picked up the black Dual Pro, so far so good, I've been using the Incipio Feather as my daily case with the Otterbox Commuter as my protection case. I however had a problem with the Otterbox due to poor cutting on the rubber (leaving jagged and frayed rubber sections around the case) as well as the rubber pushing out on the sides to give a warped look. The Incipio Dual Pro has a much better build quality feel to it and looks to offer nearly the same amount of protection. (The obvious exception being to the port covers that are part of the Otterbox). Long story short I'm very happy with this case and haven't noticed any wifi issues so far.
Dual Pro case fits macro and fisheye lens.
Hey guys I just ordered these lenses off of amazon, called Skina 3 in 1 lenses, and found out that they will fit perfectly in the rubber circle around the camera on the phone, the alignment is only marginally off, and the lenses take great pictures if you are looking for effects.
Good review! Thank you
Just ordered the same case

Mine arrived today and I have to say, it is my current favorite case, closely followed by the Tetded one
The CF case is a beautiful thing and a great fit.
Really cant see myself changing it too often as its an every day case with class and protection.
I just bought one of these Incipio duo pro shine cases and I LOVE it.
Thanks for the review!
Ok I know everybody has been reviewing the LOVE MEI metal bumper
and people love it. Personally I give it a 2/5 rating and thought it was not worth it at all. Sorry I am not the best reviewer, I am only doing this because I'm bored and studying for an exam lol. Needed a quick break :good:
Ok let's get started.
I found an even better bumper for the same price, which is a better quality metal bumper and protects the front a lot better. When I tried the Love mei bumper, it felt like a really cheap bumper and didn't give me an impression that it would protect my Z1 (it also was wiggling around until you put some paper or something) This bumper also does not wiggle around, compared to the Love mei. It has rubber little mats inside to protect it from getting scratched from the metal (I cringed when I heard scratching noises when trying on my love mei, this case didn't scratch it.
Basically this bumper is about the same as the Love mei but protects it a lot better, gives access to all the needed ports or buttons. Unfortunately you have to dig deep if you want to press the volume and power buttons (same as Love mei bumper)
For the magnetic charging you can cut out the top rubber of your magnetic charger so the charger can fit and you won't have to remove the phone out of the case like how you used to. Of course I tried this with my generic magnetic charger first before doing it on an official one it came with.
Here's the link and some pictures. As you can see, it is charging  Please practice on a cheap magnetic charger before cutting your original charger, I am not responsible if you break it. It worked for me and I was just careful with my xacto knife

This is what you have to do to the magnetic charger
Agree it looks better than the love mei. Just wish they have provided some rubber buttons so you did not need to dig for those buttons, i can see that getting old after a bit. So how comfortable is to hold. Not as nice as naked i suppose. The quest for a better, more comfortable bumper continues.
By the looks of it the bumper raises the screen & back just a bit so it will not scratch when placed on a table.
Did you consider to use screen protectors for back & front. I think that would complete it. I like how you have a wrist strap at the end. The lanyard provision is unique to japanese phones.
Just saw this what do you think ?
【Metal-Slim】Sony Xperia Z1 Bumper frame
No digging for volume buttons, that it isn't metal isn't a problem AND access to magnetic charging. There is a good lip over the screen too. Price seems ok, shipping cost is unusually high though.

Just so you know the bumper you linked is actually made of rubber. I purchased it and its about a 3 on a scale from 1 -10

I had a screen protector on the front and back of the phone with the bumper
My main problem with this is pressing the volume/power button since you have to dig to press it. That's the same with the lovemei bumper as well. It's 7.5/10 comfortable when holding it, but I do wish it had some rubber somewhere to add better grip to the phone. At least I have a strap so it's safe from falls
And as for the magnetic charging, it does fit but you have to cut a little piece of the rubber from the magnetic charger for it to fit. The magnetic charger is too thick to fit at first

I'm not fan of the LOVE ME! bumper either, it looks cheap plus the angle of the bumper is so stupid. I just bought the same model as yours, here new link because eBay seems to be giving headache to us buyers to find it. I only found the other model when I searched this afternooon. But I had it saved in my Watch List.
There you go! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Luxury-De...lePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item2c76d1781e
The Rhinoshield bumper being floated apparently was canceled due to lack of interest. Are there any other plain black rubber bumpers available? I have nice oleophobic screen protectors that I'm happy with and just want some padding/protection for the edges and to be able to set the phone face up or face down on a table softly. I don't want/need a case with a front and/or back on it, just the bumper. I guess any soft material (like silicone?) would be acceptable.
I have been searching for this for a while now. Gotten to the point where I am planning on making my own out of sugru or a substitute (don't get sugru in my country)
I use the Cruzerlite Bugdroid. It looks to me that it would be a good candidate for modifying into a rubber bumper. I think the back could be removed with a razor blade and the bumper that's left would maintain it's integrity.
Thanks for the DIY candidate suggestions. I was hoping to not have to DIY, but it looks like I'm not alone in not being able to find an off-the-shelf bumper. It just seems strange to me that an accessory so simple apparently does not exist.
PS: Forgot to mention that I need the magnetic charging port exposed, which narrows the field of possible candidates.
orzly fusion off amazon ..I was waiting on the rhinoshield ..been on with tech 21 also ..waiting on a reply .. ps I can charge in the case magnetic charger ..I am waiting on the kidigi mag charger ..
Yesterday read this thread and found something about Ringke Fusion gel case and ordered it, now i see that somebody said that it isn´t as good as it looks like . As I can see on the web it looks just as i wanted case to be so I hope I wan´t be disappointed. Waiting for the phone and already spent more than i expected on the extra accessories that i saw on this thread and thought that it might be useful .

Thanks, but the first one covers the magnetic charging port, no?
Seems like I'll need to find an otherwise acceptable bumper and do some surgery with an Xacto knife to expose the magnetic port. I had been hoping for a nice OOBE with a rubber bumper, but my hopes have dimmed.
I picked up the aluminum one... Looks sexy... Got red for my red phone. See how it does when it gets here

What are your thoughts on the aluminum cover? Feel protective for drops; work with charging dock?

Well i have been using it for the past week. Had to do some tinkering on the camera button. Was to sensitive at first but working now. Signal seems fine and the protection from drops seems like it would be pretty good. Feels decent in had as well. The charging dock works without and insert. The USB mag charger does not fit case but maybe the new version would.

Bought my aluminium one here for $5.71:
http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6445316397.html?orderId=65411670055920
It looks nice and I'd like to use it, but I won't. It's bulky and a little loose, by one mm to be specific. 1 mm happens to be the difference in thickness between the Z1C and Z3C.
I'm pretty sure it's a re-purposed z1 compact bumper.
There was also a defect with mine. The lanyard cutout on the bottom had aluminum edges sticking inwards, as if they forgot to file it down after stamping out the hole.
I didn't notice before putting in my phone in for the first time and scratched its plastic edge. I fixed the cutout by using pliers to rip the shards off and the filed it down with some high grit sandpaper...
The Z1C doesn't have a lanyard hole in that spot, so I'm pretty sure they use old made-for-Z1C bumpers and just stamp out the lanyard cutout, which is why the defect was only on that cutout.
There's also very little padding between the aluminium and your phone, just a couple of very slim felt-like stickers. I doubt this bumper would offer much drop protection, and if it fell at a weird angle, the fact that it's loose, I wouldn't be surprised if it caused extra damage.
It makes the phone way bulkier than it needs to. It makes the phone even slippier to grip, if that's even possible. Too many design faults. The only thing it has going for it is it's kind of pretty (ignoring bulk) and the buttons work well (after loosening the camera button too though).
Would not recommend.
Also, the seller is being very difficult about a refund, especially considering they sent me a faulty unit that damaged my phone...
Wow this seller is dense...
ME: "Hello, I am not satisfied with this item. It has a major manufacturing flaw that should have been caught during quality control: The lanyard hole on the bottom of the case has sharp aluminium protruding inwards where the hole was stamped out. It should have been shaved down and smoothed out during manufacturing. Not only does the phone not fit inside the case, but It also scratched my phone as i was inserting it. I have attached a photo of the defect."

Wow! That is nuts. Hopefully it ends up working out for you; a full refund is the least they can do.
I had an aluminum bumper on my Note II... i wouldn't recommend it since I couldn't use the GPS with it. I had no GPS signal at all with the bumper...
I just contacted the rhino shield people and they say they are planning a z4 version. Maybe now that more people have the z3 compact, if enough people contact them, they may try again?
I had also purchased an Aluminium bumper last year when I bought my Z1C - but after a few days of use I removed it and found it had scratched the edges of the glass backing!! The bumper did not have any obvious sharp or rough surface - I think just fitting the case and possibly small flex movements may have led to the damaged edges.
I got a refund from the case seller - but my Z1C was still damaged!
I have just upgraded to Z3C and I know the resale value of my Z1C is going to be affected by the above damage.
So - anyone considering a Aluminium bumper - please be wary...
I have the elecom bumper for the xperia z3 compact so-02g, fits great and does what i need, the bad news is it does not have a cut out for the magnetic charger. other than that does a great job at protecting my phone. had the same bumper on my xperia z1 compact and phone is still like new.
one thing i would recommend if you have this bumper is to remove it every so often and clean the dust that can build up.
