Flashing recovery went terribly wrong on Xperia S

Hi
So yesterday I was trying to install TWRP recovery in order to install Cyanogenmod 11 on Xperia S , I followed a tutorial on techglen, the problem is that now I only have the recovery on my phone , it boots instead of the system , the system files are still there but I can't boot on it , If i connect my phone to my computer I can't access the storage even if I mount it using TWRP
So i have some questions
Is my phone broken?
Instead of flashing a .elf file i flashed the .img instead , is that the source of the problem? ( i didn't do it on purpose , but i didn't pay attention :/ )
can i flash the boot.img of the old system to get it back on booting ?
If there's a way of pushing the CM11 into my phone and installing it would that fix my problem?
Can i use flash tool to flash my old system back ?

Can't install inremediatepack or any ROM

Hi guys,
I need some helps to fix my phone, here is what i did :
I used to have a custom ROM ( CM 11 by Spanorg ) and yesterday i wanted to downgrade to an official Stock ROM (B315)
I wiped out all data and system of my phone using TWRP recovery, then I installed stock recovery.
Next and in order to install my stock rom (b315) I had to first install the intermediatepack there my troubles started.
As recommended I formated my SDCard and created a folder named "dload" where I put the UPDATE.APP file of the intermediatepack
After reboot on download mode it doesn't work ! I have " Version list verify fail! " error message.
Same error is I try with the B315 stock ROM directly
worse I can't even install custom ROMS like my old one ( CM 11 by Spanorg ) : I get signature error
I can't even change my recovery software, when in booloader mode ( Volume down + power button ) My phone is unrecognized by my computer : "UNKNOWN USB COMPOSITE DEVICE".
Any idea on how i can fix this ?
nobody has a clue ^^ ?
finally it worked, I kept trying to access bootloader mode ( Volume down + power button ) without success until once i tried while my phone was connected to PC and Yooopi ! it was recognised and I manager to install a custom recovry

Device not detected

Hello everybody,
Here my problem :
I tried to install a custom rom, I failed. Now, my smartphone stay on the Asus logo screen. I tried to follow this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-to-apply-ota-bootloop-rooted-zf2-t3127835 - to fix the problem, but when I connect phone and laptop, adb doesn't find the device.
If I continue and go in recovery mode (using TWRP), laptop can access the phone (I can see internal memory but not external).
And if I try the ADB sideload, there is no device again...
It's the first step, I don't see any other way to unbrick the phone...
Thanks in advance
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-brick-soft-hard-bricked-zenfone-2-t3284256 be lucky your phone is recognized
Hello,
Frist, thank you for your answer. I had already tried this way but nothing. Finally, I fixed the problems (detect phone and unbrick phone).
1-In TWRP, I loaded recovery.img, boot.img and droidboot.img. Reboot in recovery mod, but I had the dead droid... so I pushed on power and volume up till I have a new screen.
2-In this part, I did a Wipe/Factory reset (useless I think), reboot in recovery mode (still dead droid). This time I selected the line "update with adb" (with an ASUS firmware). Then I had a message who told me update adb sideload. I did it and it installed the firmware. The smartphone reboot correctly.
Now, I have the same problem I had yesterday. In TWRP, my external storage isn't detected...
you use stock recovery or custom recovery, if you use stock recovery external-storage won't detected
Hello,
Thank you Bar4, I explained above how I fixed my problems. Now I'm searching a way to make TWRP (TWRP 3.0) detect my external storage to install Cyanogenmod 13.0. If it's really not possible, I would try with CWM (I have seen it in your screen).
Edit : I guess custom, TWRP. It's why I don't understand why it doesn't allow me to mount SD card or doesn't detect this same SD Card.

i use twrp 3.0 too, but external sd detected. no need to put on external storage, you can flash Cm 13 through internal storage
if you want to install custom rom it's better if you make a backup first, so if happen you failed when installing new rom or maybe you don't like it (new rom) you can go back to stock rom through TWRP restore
Ok, failed again...
Try a different rom or redownload the rom it might have been a bad download.
The error message says there is no updater script in the zip meaning it can't install anything as the updater script tells what directories to install the files if I seen it correctly that is.

maybe the CM 13 zip file you have download corrupted, try to re-download and re-flash it again. if still failed try another rom
( i'm using AICP Rom "based on CM 13 too") try it, it's awesome Rom ---> do clean install wipe all except internal storage and external storage

http://opengapps.org/ ( select x86-6.0-nano )
Hi,
Sorry for this late answer. As I failed to install those roms (CM13, Bliss), I'm going to stop here and wait for the Marsmallow update. But I'm happy my phone isn't brik anymore.
Thank you all.

Bricked device nubia z11 mini
Hi Guys,
I was looking to update the Nubia to v 2.04 from 1.40 so I used flashify to flash the stock recovery (worked earlier) but the system went dead.
I used tool studio to get the recovery back but now it is not reading my internal storage where the files are kept, it suggest mount error with system, data etc .... so what could be a way forward?

Now I have flashed rom v 1.32 , it is showing splash screen but it hangs at "Be Yourself screen", adb is also not detecting the device to install twrp through pc. Please share some detailed guideline.

Follow this guide to flash twrp, use the vendor id from below guide
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-3-0-2-zte-t3550995
Then u flash the rom.
Before flashing the rom, wipe everything expect internal storage and sd card
Need persist.img
Hi,
Have got to know persist.img is corrupt. Hence, flashing is happening but no booting even twrp is not helping. Persist.img is usually found in fastboot img of the rom which helps to install rom in fastboot mode. Kindly do let me know if I can find fastboot.img of Nubia z11 mini.
Thank you
Hello guys,
i have the same brick mode as the op.
The system doesn't recognize the mobile, it only shows it as QHUSB_BULK and it keeps disconnecting.
What are the steps to follow from the pc?
I found somewhere one software called one click unbrick but when i try to install the drivers with it it says that "the system policy has been modified to reject unsigned drivers".
If i can take it to the place where the phone is recognized as a storage from the pc then i can take it from there.
Thanks
Unbrick and downgrade
I once brick my nubia the same way. BUT NOW ITS ALIVE AND WORKS FINE (sulking why didn't I bought the ZUK 2 even though at the time i bought z11mini they were similarly priced)
UNBRICKING:-
ALL you have to do is download the same firmware which was installed prior to the rom to which you downgraded to [ simply put if you had v2.40 running before and tried to install v1.40 then download the v2.40 rom for flashing), once downloaded {USE A PC OR MAC TO DOWNLOAD THE ROM OR ELSE IT MIGHT GET CORRUPT} copy it to the root of an sd card(2gb upto 32gb; sdxc cards may not work), insert the sd card into the phone , then press and hold the power button until the phone reboots, as soon as you see the bootlogo press and hold vol- and power keys simultaneously, you wold boot into nubia recovery now select update from sd card confirm and let it install as soon as update finishes your phone will boot back up normally. [UP TILL THIS POINT NO FILES WOULD BE LOST].
NOW YOUR PHONE WILL BE WORKING AGAIN.
DOWNGRADING:-
YOU DON'T NEED ANY EXTERNAL SOFTWARE FOR THIS
JUST DOWNLOAD THE ROM U WANT TO INSTALL AND PLACE INTO SD CARD AS ABOVE.
TAKE A BACKUP AND SAVE ON A PC, ANOTHER PHONE OR ANOTHER SD CARD{not the same one} OR ANYWHERE ELSE SAFE cause after this everything inside your phone will be DELETED.
BOOT INTO RECOVERY as STATED ABOVE.
-ATTENTION- DON'T install the rom as yet.
FIRST WIPE cache and data.
SECOND- INSTALL THE ROM SIMILARLY AS PRESCRIBED ABOVE.
THE SYSTEM WILL INSTALL AND REBOOT.
ENJOY{but why are you so eager to downgrade your system, i was once as well but after downgrade to lollipop.....nothing......performance was same as on Marshmallow.
ADVICE- for some reason the ota updater never shows any new updates, you will have to download updated roms from nubia website to install using recovery{the app has option to apply local update but it does nothing and gets stuck on nubia logo, u will have to restart your phone after that}, as long as you are installing updates u don't need to wipe data and cache and also your files will remain intact. BUT TO THIS ONLY EXCEPTION IS V2.06, on this you do not need to wipe data and cache but the rom itself will wipe all data on your phone so be careful. :good:

I think i bricked my phone

Soo what happend is i had a lineage 14.1 installed, i saw an update today , wanted to install it , downloaded and phone said it will reboot into recovery and install the update itself , twrp did open but nothing happen afterwards so i try to find the file myself and flash it but with no luck .. it was not there, so i download the file myself and place it on sd card then flash it , it flashed but after it was done my phone would only boot into twrp , even if i selected reboot into system , no problem i just go into download mode and install a kdz i had saved just in case , i get into android 5.1 i root it and i unlock the bootloader then i install the twrp , and then the thing i think that bricked it , i open cmd and type adb reboot bootloader instead of adb reboot recovery , my phone goes black , nothing happens , adb dosnt see the phone anymore , i pull out the battery and try to turn phone on again , nothing , i try to get into download mode, nothing again , when i remove battery and put it back in and try to power it on it just buzzes once and that nothing just black screen ... any help ?
sry for wall of text and ty in advance
