Hi,
After W10 is installed in L530, how does it work? Smoothly? There are somes issues that we should to know? Where we can see a video?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I can't post any external links or photos or videos etc. because I'm still junior member on this forum...
It works fine if you don't use a lot of applications at the same time.
That could be the only issue I found so far, because Lumia 530 has only 512 MB RAM. If you use it one app at the time, it works same as W8.1...
And you should limit background apps (in battery saver) to increase battery life (I think that's the problem with W10 on all phones)..
doesnt work in 635 AT&T GoPhone.
Thanks for the tutorial though

Before you start, you should find similar phone to yours (same cpu and gpu) among supported W10 phones and use its identifiers to apply them into your registry. I used identifiers of Lumia 535, because it has the same cpu and gpu as my L530...
Works fine on my lumia 530. Finally I got 10586.164 run on the phone.
The next updat to didn't work. Lumia 530 won't use sdcard. Any idea?
On internal drive only 1,3GB free. WIN10 tells me I need more
----
Finally it works - I just do HardReset once morer and same procedure. Thanks Dr_ausgemachten.
Asking about how does it work.

Hi LaCruz,
Please, could you give me your opinion as user of a L530 with W10? Is it worth upgrading the L530 to W10 considering that I have to pay $19 to register for Microsoft to unlock the L530.?
One of the reasons for bought it L530 was by the possibility of updating a W10. At the moment, my experience with W8.1 Update 2 is good. But, I always have the idea of upgrading to W10.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, cmolinap.
You dont have to pay anything. See tutorial (step 2) and you will unlock your phone for 2 developer applications. That's all you need!

Found this method on the internet a few days ago, since "vcReg and Extras&Info" method doesn't work any more. Tried and it works!!! I'm new on this forum, so i didn't know how to attach the necessary files at the bottom of the post, and I have inserted the photo with original links for download below the text.
1. Free up some space – The "100-year trick"
You will need a large MicroSD card – at least 4GB.
The updates downloaded alone require around 900MB of space. After it's finished, Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.164 takes 2.46GB on my Lumia 530. We're gonna need more space.
Hard reset your phone
When it comes back up, disable time synchronisation, and set the date to 100 years in the future (e.g. 01/01/2155).
Open the Settings App, and try to open all the various tabs. Many of them will tell you there's a problem, and allow you to uninstall it.
Uninstall any other apps from the All apps screen.
You should have around 1.4GB free space now.
2. Developer Unlock your Lumia 530
Install the Windows Phone 8.1 SDK
If you haven't already, you'll need to register as a developer.
Search for Windows Phone Developer Registration Tool 8.1, and follow the steps to Developer unlock your Lumia 530 (your screen must be unlocked during this procedure!! - set lock screen settings on 5 minutes or so).
Go to the app store, and install the Windows Insider and Preview for Developers app.
Open up Storage Sense, and move Preview for Developers to the SD card.
Make sure Windows Insider remains on your Phone storage; and the default App location is your Phone.
3. Interop Unlock your Lumia 530
Grab and deploy CustomWPSystem_0500. xap and WPSystem_Folder_Unlocker_Release_ARM. xap to your phone (using the Windows Phone Application Deployment 8.1 program from the SDK -> C:\Program Files (x86)\ Microsoft SDKs\ Windows Phone\ v8.1\ Tools\ AppDeploy\ AppDeploy. exe)
Copy CustomPFD_0003. xap to the SD Card
Open up WPSystem_Folder_Unlocker on your phone, and tap "Unlock WPSystem Folder (sdcard)". It should say "Success!"
Open up CustomWPSystem on your phone
Tap the red bar "SD Card permissions", then browse to your SD Card and tap Apply (the tick)
Scroll to the bottom, and tap "Select the XAP".
Pick the CustomPFD_0003. xap file you copied to the SD card.
Tap Apply Xap.
Browse to Preview for Developers in the All Apps list. The icon should have changed.
4. Change your Device Identifiers
Here's the real reason this works: We're going to pretend our humble Lumia 530 is actually a Lumia 535.
Open the Preview for Developers app
Browse to HKLM/SYSTEM/Platform/DeviceTargetingInfo
Change the following keys:
PhoneManufacturer: MicrosoftMDG
PhoneManufacturerModelName: RM-1089_1048
PhoneModelName: Lumia 535
PhoneMobileOperatorName: 000-IT
5. Force updates to download to the SD Card – the "1GB File trick"
Windows Update always prefers to download updates to the local phone storage. It's typically faster than the SD card, and a whole lot safer. But if there's insufficient space, it can download the update files to the SD card.
On your PC, open up a Command Prompt as Administrator(!)
Create a 1GB file (copy and paste following line in Command Prompt): fsutil file createnew C:\1gb.tmp 1000000000
Copy the file to your Phone storage.
Join the Insiders Program if you haven't already, and select Slow Ring or Release Preview.
Check for phone updates.
Soon after the updates begin downloading (say 5% to be sure), you must delete the 1GB temp file. While this file forced Windows Update to download to the SD card, we still need all that space we cleared earlier for the updates to actually install!
Allow your phone to reboot when prompted.
Installing process will be much slower, because installation files are downloaded on SDcard, which is generally slower than phone storage. With my Transcend 8GB SD it lasted for about 2 hours. If install progress hangs for >1 hour at the "Migrating your data" screen, it's safe to reboot and you've got 10586.xxx version now.
6. Hard reset your device
After Hard Reset, your phone will be lumia 530 again, but don't worry, the next update will come anyway!!
7. Upgrade your Lumia 530 to 10586.318
Once you've successfully got 10586.xxx installed on your Lumia 530, you can upgrade to 10586.318.
Delete all unnecessary data and apps from Phone storage
The old 1GB file trick again. Copy that 1GB file back to your phone storage.
In the Settings App, search for updates. They should again begin downloading to your SD card.
As before, delete the 1GB file after the updates begin downloading.

Hi,
I need your help. Please, could you guide me in the process?
Ok. My Nokia Lumia 530 is a Dual SIM version and I live in Nicaragua. So, I will need to change some info before, in order to upgrade to W10. The RM to be used should be RM-1090 (Lumia 535 Dual SIM), but the second number (RM-1090_xxxx) how selected it? The Phone Mobile Operator Name should be: 000-NI?
Thanks in advance.

hi
I couldn't find Nicaraguan carrier in lumia firmware software site http://www.lumiafirmware.com/ (that's where you search for identifiers). I found Italian identifiers (RM-1090_1046). Don't be confused about that. My original carrier is 000-RS (Serbia) and the phone is sim locked, but it worked with 000-IT (Italian). Anyway, your identifiers will return to original after the update and hard reset. As I could figure so far, the point is to trick the server to send you an update for existing phone. Regarding hardware, there are no differences between Lumias (e.g 535) all over the world.. I hope I helped you

You don't need to pay to register. Install the SDK and open the 'developer registration' program. Sign in with any microsoft account and it'll work.

Thanks for the guide, I've successfully updated to the 10586.318 build too.
Something to note is Developer Registration won't recognize your phone unless the phone is connected to the internet, and the date is correct. So if you changed the date to 100+ years, you might have to change it back to register.
Also, is it possible to get Fast ring working on this? It reboots when I pick fast ring and doesn't find any updates.

hi everyone.
please participate in collecting cab update links for more devices/builds and i will add your pastebin links here.
i am starting it and hope you'll help me. collect links with fiddler (only works from wp8 to w10m).
you need to be running the exact build for the update on your phone.
download/open windows insider app and apply to fast ring.
check for updates to download the insider fast configuration update. when it is preparing for update, disable wifi.
after the installation of the preparation update (gears), you're ready to push the cabs.
they can be pushed to the phone with iutool.exe via admin cmd
command: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Phone Kits\8.1\Tools\bin\i386>iutool.exe -v -p c:\cabs"
WDK,WPAK,WPDK (containing iutool.exe)
put cabs you want to push to c:\cabs folder (create it). only update step by step, build by build.
phone might spit out a error but you can see in settings->update that it is preparing to update and rebooting automatically afterwards.
if you face iutool connection problems, disconnect the device in devices&printers and unplug/plug in usb cable again.
if you want to participate, only enable fiddler right before you hit the "download update button" (check with edge browser if it works first).
that means, when it is checking for updates, it shouldn't use proxy yet.
otherwise windows update can't find any updates and you won't be able to capture them duh..
for general connection problems, install windows device recovery tool (contains wp8 device drivers).
to collect cabs easily, save pastebin content to a txt file and open the list with free download manager for example.
warning: the cab update collections are chipset (SOC)/display resolution/language/softkeys dependent.
you might be able to collect all your needed soc/res/lang/softkeys cabs for a unlisted device if you select carefully.
the language files are resolution independent so you can take the ones your device needs from other devices too.
to find out which langs your device needs, capture the update progress once with fiddler and write it down.
a alternative that does not involve downgrading again to wp81 would be to mount your device's ffu rom file to check langs/soc/res (sk should be obvious).
preparation updates can contain device specific packages so only apply them to the correct device.
it is possible that on branded devices, this procedure fails.

Looks like the lumia 1520 and the M8 are the same all around... what are the odds I can use these cabs to get from 10166 to 10572?
i tried to update from 10536 to 10572 and it didn't work even if they are full canonical cabs (spkg).
from wp81 to w10m it should work. but if you have a branded device, it might fail.

Eh, I can do that just by choosing fast ring. Trying to get to 10572 while preserving Astoria. Ah well, guess I have to wait to the next fast ring push, which should solve the upgrade bug.
Hi,
First thanks for making this thread and really need to track update logs.
But why you/other people's still are linking/downloading wp8.1 OEM kit ? Since Windows 10 Mobile OEM kit is public kit.
And 8.1 KIT is huge size of 4-5 GB.
Just grab the WDK 10, it's only 600 MB. (Included all most of the files even oem certs, Updated tools, like FFUTool for profile mode etc.)
I hope that help to you/all other peoples always.
Btw I've most interesting things/research base on these tools, bringing very soon.

Thanks! Maybe now I can complete the update of my 640 to build 10536. It looked like that was pulled from the Fast Ring after the release of 10549 and 10572, so any devices still on Slow Ring build 10166 were stuck in an endless update loop when going to the Fast Ring.
How can install this cab files? i have lumia 635 512mb ram please somebody help me

let me know if a build rollup with all cabs combined and sorted with descriptions would be appreciated.
i did that already for build 10581 now.
I'm getting error 0x80188302, google says it's E_PACKAGE_ALREADY_INSTALLED. Is there any way to track or ignore package collisons?

leave out the studyid package(s). those are the needed windows insider configuration updates.
you might have this/those installed already .
Saw this article after I did the update to 10581. Need file list for Lumia 920 (RM-820_nam_att_100) to restore astoria.
So how do I install a group of these cabs to get to 10536 from 8.1?
edit: Can I just use iutool from win 8.1? I haven't been in the win8m scene, just fooled around with win10m.

yes. enable wifi and open windows insider app. when you see the ring selection (fast/slow),
disable wifi via notification center. then apply to fast ring. device will reboot.
then you should be ready to push cabs. after cab transfer, iutool says "update started".
then it will spit out a error but if you go to settings-> update, you can see that it is preparing for update.
the phone will automatically reboot after update preparation and apply the cabs (shows gears).
followed by migrating data as usual.

(If you downloaded it from WDRT, go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Packages\Products\RM-xxx\ and select the ffu image file. WARNING: ProgramData is an hidden folder!)
The second one, select the folder "C:\WPInternals\Loader"
The third one, if you device is supported, select your SBL3 Engineering image (In my case, Lumia 920) from the folder "C:\WPInternals\SBL3".
BEWARE that you can brick you phone if you flash the wrong image.
You should get this:
Now press continue and wait.
DONE! You have successfully unlocked your phone!
If you flashed the SBL3 image, you can access to Mass Storage Mode.

Beware! I just tried unlocking the bootloader of 10586.242 on a Lumia 925 (RM-892) and got stuck at "Sending Loader". Next I'll go the recommended way:
Flash a Windows Phone 8.1 FFU
Run Windows Update until you have at least version 8.10.14219.341 of the OS
Unlock the bootloader using an Engineering SBL3 (only possible on compatible phones)
Run the Windows Insider tool and update to Windows 10 Mobile, possibly needs to run Windows Update a couple of times for the latest build
Enable Root Access directly on the phone
Bonus: Create a Cusom ROM
// update:
After several failed attempts (*aaaahahhhrhhrrgggg!!!!111111eleven*) I finaly got it:
Drivers from the Nokia Care Suite and the correct(tm) loader ftw.

Maybe it is already known to some of you but I would like to share that it still possible to upgrade from Windows Phone 8.1 to Redstone if you have a Lumia 920, and to remain the unlocked bootloader with Mass Storage if you use WPInternals. I am assuming this method works for more Lumia x20 devices
My device: Lumia 920
Product code: 059R018
Manumodelname: RM-821-eu-netherlands-315
Steps I took:
-Rolled back device to Windows Phone 8.1 using Windows Device Recovery Tool.
Windows Device Recovery Tool flashed this rom onto my device:
RM821_3051.50009.1424.0005_RETAIL_eu_netherlands_315_05_442325_prd_signed.ffu
-Updated to the latest official Windows Phone 8.1 update for Lumia 920.
-Used WPInternals 1.2 to unlock bootloader and flash SBL3 to enable MassStorage. Partition table of RM821_3051.50009.1424.0005_RETAIL_eu_netherlands_315_05_442325_prd_signed.ffu was used.
-Rooted the device using WPInternals 1.2
-Deployed vcReg_1.5 and used Live Interop Unlock template.
-Deployed customPFD (@Pasquiindustry)
-Modified registry as described here.
-Installed Windows Insider and enrolled for Fast Ring.
-Upgraded to W10 Redstone 10.0.14393.5
-Hardreset after upgrade
The Unlocked Bootloader and MassStorage mode are still working without any problems. I therefore made a full ROM dump (EFIESIP, MainOS, Data) using WPInternals 1.2.
I would upload the ROM but since it is 29GB this would take ages.
(If you have suggestions for where to upload or how to make files smaller, please PM me)

sure the bootloader stays unlocked, os updates cant lock it again. it stays unlocked till you reflash your phone with the recovery tool (or till the device recieves and ota firmwareupdate, which wont happen for old devices at all)
and i can confirm it works. just compress the archive, will end up in 15gb instead of 30gb. did that last week for my 920 too. the dude here from windowsmania.pl already announced custom roms (which are creatable with wpinternals too and are way smaller, cause in your archive you have the data partition too etc; which you shouldnt upload cause it contains access to the ms account etc you used to configure your device). i only replied cause i wanted to warn you to upload that
Hi Guys
Can someone upload a W10 ROM for the Lumia 920, with unlocked loader and root access. I can only find one on megaNZ , it flashes on the phone without any errors using windows phone internals, but goes into a boot loop with the Nokia logo..

Is glance screen working? I installed 10.0.14393.5 but can't find the settings anymore.
And would it be wise to change the registry settings back to original after getting the update?

I think if you hard reset the phone, they go back to original. At least mine says it's Lucia 920 and I changed the keys to be lumina 535 to get the update
Ah, okay. Good to know, since I did a hard reset.
Will my Lumia 920 get further updates after changing back to the original settings?

I don't think so, but I'm not using it right now. Probably we'll need to change the values again
Yes, we do. After changing it back to Lumia-830-settings, there is another update.
you need to change the values everytime to get a new os-update, download of speechfiles and keyboardlayout works fine without (but you have to reopt to insiderring if you did a hardreset). i recommend changing the values to the original ones after every update, otherwise the store does crazy thing (atleast did for me)
Okay, did it. Thanks.
Is there a way to get the glance-function back to life? (The option for it in "personalisation" is missing and that one in "extras" is not working anymore.)
You can upload only EFIESP and MainOS without Data, because the last one is useless.
You can flash EFIESP and MainOS even if you are in WP8.1, but keep in mind that you need to do an hard reset via volume keys.
read pages ~90-100 in the oder thread about old devices running redstone. you find everything there you need
Ah, found it. Thanks. I just can't create dword-keys with InteropTool. But you mentioned, that there could be coming a fix/tweak in the next version of the InteropTool. Perhaps, I will just wait. ^^
there wont, gus isnt able to fix some write issues. without massstoragemode the only way to change them is custompfd + custompfd remote on your desktop
How is the performance? Does x20 devices run better with redstone?
@tofuschnitte:
Okay, I'll try that. But is there a way to enable the glance-setting, which should be in "personalisation"? Perhaps that would be enough?
(And a tweak in the InteropTools to quickly change the registry to, let's say the Lumia 950 oder 830 would be nice. )

I am just a guy who like flashing roms. I am not sure, it may not. ( Mine is a Dual-SIM module ,yours is of single SIM )
Just tried to flash those files on my RM-976. Unfortunately the update stops with ERROR 0x800b0100.
Seems that the windows security .dll files are not properly registered.
Do i have to unlock the phone or something else before trying to flash ?

Solved this by deleting extra Desktop.ini file. How getting same error as above 0x800b0100.
Readstone can be run on Lumia 630 (512MB RAM) ! The update packages( cab files) can be downloaded from catalog.update.microsoft.com ( search your phone carrier name, like mine: 000-HK ), queue by time ,add 14343 to bucket and download .( other items for 10586 and erlier version; there SHOULD HAVE the links for upgrading from wp8.1 to 10586.107 ). If you can not click to download , view the poped-up webpage's source then copy and sort the download links by yourself.
You only need to download the files similar to the files you grabbed when updating 10586.107 to 10586.545. OR similar to the files in my attachment. It seems that difference to OS language packages can be ignored.
*.cbs_*.cab files are for FULL update, maybe they can be used on 10586.545 ; *.cbsu_*.cab files must can be used on 10586.545. They CANNOT be used at the same time, I update failed once due to this.
Replace IME and Speech data packages with yours.
Use iutool.exe to push cab files to your phone as usual.
If you update failed and your downloaded files are not broken, try to replace thoes files which their name start with or like:
microsoft.devicelayout_qc8x26_16k.mainos.cbs_
microsoft.soc_qc8x26_16k.mainos.cbs_
for other defination, replace this file: microsoft.prerelease_protected.mainos_res_480x800.cbs_*.cab .I am not sure if it can be used on Lumia 630.

Could you tell me the steps clearly, please?
I have purchased a few of the Cube WP10 phablets and am actually impressed. However, they ship with Windows 10 Mobile release 1511. I have enrolled in the Insiders Program, but nothing happens. Does anyone have an idea on how to force an upgrade to 1607? This device is not listed in the wdrt tool, nor are there any software/firmware updates on the Cube-tablet website. I would be willing to risk experimentation with this device, but don't know how to fool the phone into forced update. Any suggestions??
It worked for me (does not need the windows insider app)
You can use the same method I used in my lumia 630, just do not know if it will work on your phablet.
Go to all settings-> system-> about and reset your phone
After reset do the interop unlock
You will need to have access to the registry keys
Depending on whether your phablet is dual yes or no, place the following keys
HKLM -> SYSTEM -> Platform -> DeviceTargetingInfo
"PhoneManufacturer" = MicrosoftMDG
"PhoneManufacturerModelName" = RM-1085_11302 (for Single SIM devices)
// *** For all dual sim devices try = RM-1116_11258 ***
PhoneModelName = Lumia 950 XL (single sim) or Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM (for dual)
PhoneHardwareVariant = RM-1085
// *** For all dual sim devices try = RM-1116***
Apply the keys, and then restart the device.
Note: you do not need windows insider, but a lot of patience.
The update will not be available as soon as you restart, you will have to wait for the microsoft servers to recognize that your device is upgraded.
I had to wait for more than 24 hours to recognize the update.
And of course, need to have internet on the device during that period.
Note: Do not tamper with the registry keys again until it recognizes the update
Hello, it's me again.
Hello
I also have a cube wp10
I've enabled developer mode in the settings
And I just put the registry keys as follows
HKLM -> SYSTEM -> Platform -> DeviceTargetingInfo
PhoneManufacturer = MicrosoftMDG
PhoneManufacturerModelName = RM-1116_11258
PhoneModelName = Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM
PhoneHardwareVariant = RM-1116
I then installed windows insider
I chose the ring
And then he will restart
Then go on updates and it will be there
Any Problems with RS2 upgrade?
Hello Eguif,

If you wonder why the screen size is different is because I used the key of the lumia 1520
If you wonder why the icons are different is because I used the app transform for this
In case you wonder how I managed to install applications that are not in the store is because I did the interop unlock
I guess I am lost...
Hi again,
I installed Interop and opened registry without problem. I could also navigate to HKDM SYSTEM Platform and prepare to add the DeviceTargetInfo line. However, I have not done this because I do not know how or where to add the PhoneManufacturer, xxModelName, xxHardwareVariant lines. I guess I am more of a novice than I realize. Can you further explain? Thanks

It's okay to get lost at first, it happens to everyone.

You already have access to the registry keys and that's fine.
DeviceTargetingInfo is a folder and you must enter it
When you enter it there will be several keys.
You will not create or add any keys, you will only modify the value of some keys.
The first key:
PhoneManufacturer
Change the value that is inside the key by this:
MicrosoftMDG
The second key:
PhoneManufacturerModel
Change the value that is inside the key by this:
RM-1116_11258
The third key:
PhoneModel
Change the value that is inside the key by this:
Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM
And finally the fourth and last key:
PhoneHardwareVariant
Change the value that is inside the key by this:
RM-1116
Thanks!!
When I browse the registry, Interop Tool crashes each time that I select Platform. It appears as though DeviceTargetingInfo folder does not exist. If I try to create

Finally figured it out. Update is downloading now. Kindly reply in this conversation if you discover any noteworthy issues or opportunities with Cube WP10 and Redstone 2. I will do the same.
Again, many thanks.

We need to see some points before.
You mentioned that the interop tools hang when you enter Platform
Make sure Developer Mode is enabled under All Settings> Update and Security> for Developers
If not, enable developer mode and retry accessing the Platform folder and make sure the interop tools do not crash
You do not need to create registry keys, they already exist
I need your feedback to proceed.
All Is Well
Hi Eguif,
I actually was successful in getting the registry modified and upgrading to 1607. Please ignore the previous post. Many thanks to you for all of your help. Today I used the off-line Maps and GPS features including voice navigation. It was quite funny to hear the girl provide English navigation, except when she needed to speak numbers -- those were spoken in what I presume to be Chinese. Hilarious!!
Thanks again,
RicketyTiger

I'm very happy to hear that you succeeded.
And I would recommend that you do not stop now but continue to explore more about registry keys and hacks.
Try to get the most out of your phablet's potential
You will be surprised.
And I have to thank you for starting this topic.
Until another time,
Eguif

Has anyone been able to load alternative language packs onto this Phablet? or Continuum? There is some real scope to make this budget phone much better! I am a real novice, and can see that it is possible for other WM phones, but unsure quite where to start.
Any help would be gratefully received!

I was able to put language packs and also put the continuum.
But before proceeding, I need to know what your windows version is on your phablet.

You will need a computer
The following link will take you to the Microsoft Updates page
Https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com
In the search box type 000-(abbreviation of your language)
example:
000-br (br means Brazilian Portuguese)
000-us (us means English)
000-fr (fr means French)
Put the abbreviation of your language
Then find your version and click download
Will open a new window
In this new window press ctrl + f and enter the abbreviation of your language
Click only those that have cbs signature and not those with cbsu signature
And the download will start
next step
Download this file and put it inside a folder and folder needs to be inside C:\
View attachment iutool.7z
Create a new folder also inside C:\
This folder is where the downloaded files should be
But only a .cab file can be in this folder
Then open the cmd as administrator and enter the iutool folder
Example: cd C:\'name of the folder you extracted the zip file from'
Place without the quotation marks
Press enter
And then type: uitool -p 'folder name with the .cab file'
Without the quotation marks
Press enter
Wait a few moments and your phone will restart
If it does not work try with others .cab files downloaded
You can only put in the folder created one at a time
I need your feedback to find out how you do.

Thank you for such as detailed response. Very appreciated.
I have downloaded all the files, how ever the iutool file isn't working. Initially I was getting 2 missing .DLL errors.
MSVCP110.dll and MSVCR110.dll
So I copied the other iutool.exe file into the iutool directory. Then I got this error within the command prompt:
ERROR: 0x80070490
command failed. (HRESULT = 0x80070490)
I tried this with all the .cab files in the cab folder and with one at a time
There are 7 cab files.
I am using a MS Surface Pro4 if it make any difference.. (Can't see why, but in case!)
Can I ask, are the 2 docking .cab files I need in the catalog you pointed me to?
Thank you again

it appears that iutool is not connecting to my phablet.. Any idea?

I'm sorry for my mistake
By an oversight I ended up putting two iutool
The correct iutole is the one with a size of 2.38 MB that is zipped in my previous post with the extension .7z
As for the error of the two .dll files, it is because you opened the wrong file that I accidentally sent.
So as not to confuse you, I'll send the file again
View attachment iutool.7z
As for the command prompt, there will always be an error, you should only be careful if after a few seconds after the error phablet restarts
As for your last question, I did not quite understand what you meant, could you clarify your question?
As for the surface
I do not think there's any difference

My question is how do I know that my phablet has is connected to the PC correctly for the iutool to work. When I type iutool -l which should say what phone is connected it does not return any phones as being connected. The PC recognises the phone and shows it in explorer.
I will try the alternative file you kindly send.
Thank you

Edit:
Hi I have tried that and I am getting the 2 missing .dll errors still
I appreciate your help!
well, idon´t know for sure, but maybe can be posible to add more languages to this phablet, in the same way that we do in the xiaomi mi4. take a look to this post.

Of course, you have to do this before you update the system, just after done a hard reset.
