What kind of battery life are you tmobile variant users typically getting? Thanks
Sent from my SM-G920T using XDA-Developers mobile app
I know you asked for T-Mobile variant but it is the same model as the US unlocked and I am using it on T-Mobile network, so I'll just tell you what I see. I usually get through a full 24 hours without having to do any bump charging. I am averaging between 5 and a half and 7 hours screen on time. Really see 6 hrs the most, 7 would be the best-case scenario. That being said I don't make very many phone calls which tend to truly chew through the battery. I'll go through a full cycle in the next day and post screenshots showing my stats.
Cool thanks bud.Is the htc m10 alot better than the m9? Because battery life on the m9 sucked for me. Thanks.

All I can speak for is myself. Personally I'm seeing about an hour more screen on time than with the M9. Nothing to write home about but it is better.

after rooting and getting my note 3 on att I have to say I am just in awe how good the battery life is.
I have sync on for gmail, facebook, linkedin and moderate use I am at 2 days and 7 hours off the charger with 18% left. Screen time of 5 hours and 6 minutes.
Killed a lot of apps with TI and it has really just been awesome
Yeah, I'm about to hit éight hours of screen on time, pretty damn good for a stock unrooted phone.

I'm totally stoked on how awesome the battery life is! Full day of listening to SiriusXM, while using the built in pedometer, texting, and using Google Hangouts for face to face chatting, and still last all day!

According to my usage scheme, I had to replace battery twice with s3, and once with Note 2, but this thing can leave even more than 10%!
It even can last five days if you leave it idle 24/7.
Not bad

I think the common element here is all these people where getting great battery life before KK dropped. I know mine has gone downhill after KK.

If you're rooted, try disabling DVFS through Wanam. It substantially increased my battery life.
Thanks Ill give it a try....

Its easily achievable on this phone. Also the screenshot lacks screen on time which determines overall battery life

Don't want to be a smart arse but it looks to me that each time you battery is going up your phone was switched off or in flight mode. Voltage on your battery is slowly recovering as the load eg. Screen, wifi, network is switched off. It make sense to me

Emmm nop. Except for, may be at 1 or 2 places, it may seem like that. However if u look at the screen shots, almost all of them have the battery life bar increasing with my phone in normal/sim working mode. Don't know whats casuing this. And bdw yesterday I reached 6h 49m SOT with 17% remaining. This means it would have easily given over 7.5 and under 8 hours SOT. Toooooo good battery life on stock kernel.

Ahan. May be your back-to-life-from-sleep-mode logic does apply to your SC but not mine. See my SC. It's increasing regardless of flight mode on or off.
P.S: I am not whining. I am enjoying it..but just wanted the reason behind this fun thing.. haha
it does the same to me seems normal
Well this is happening and its draining my battery quite significantly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm a little confused here. You have 57% left after 9hrs 20min on battery and what looks like all sorts of things running in the back ground. From what I can see there doesn't seem to be an issue?
You need to post the usage stats.

how many hours can you manage to do with your device fully charged?
I tend to get around nine hours with a fair amount of usage and around fourteen hours with standby give or take. I could extract a couple of hours more if the phone would stop using wifi in the background which is driving me crazy since I can't get to the source of the problem as to why the wifi is still running even when I've closed it from the settings. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello all,
I have a defective G3.
Sprint will exchange the device for me, but are also offering to move me to an Galaxy S5.
As I have not had a working G3, and I only get one exchange, I'm not sure what to do.
I initially purchased the G3 because I thought it would be a work horse (extra gig of ram, it supposedly runs cooler than an S5), and a couple of other reasons (great display, and camera's laser focus.)
Ultimately, I need my phone to be capable of surviving a day in the office: reading emails, sending texts, viewing meeting agendas, taking around 3 hours of calls, all through the course of a 9hr day.
That being said is this something that a non-defective G3 can easily handle, or am I going to be pushing my luck on battery life?
Thanks in advance!
Honestly, if you need it for work go with the S5. I went from an S5 to the G3. I love the phone, but I barely make it through the day on battery. I use corp email (GOOD), text, phone, web, camera, and evernote throughout the day and while I can usually make it, i'm at less than 20%.

If you really want to keep the G3 you should consider an extra spare battery for the G3... I got 2 of those for 15$ plus a charger for the batteries...

Can you point me towards the deal you snagged?
This being a work phone is it truly a work phone so BYOD or you just happen to use it for work purposes? Cause if you're allowed to root it you can remove a lot of the bloat that causes battery drain. You can also use greenify which a great help. I use my phone all day at work (IM, text, notes, meeting planners, web searches and downloads of large files (to keep from being flagged by IT)) and I get home with still 70% battery (10+ hour work day also I have certain tweaks done to the kernel that probably help my battery life significantly). I haven't experienced any heat issues, or lag, or anything that other people have. I'd definitely go with the G3

Not to hi-jack the thread but....Anything you'd be willing to share? I'm on the fence about rooting since I don't necessarily "need" to do it, but if you are getting such good battery life with these tweaks i'm certainly interested!

I am having horrible battery Life. Everything is off but WiFi. Location off. All smart junk off. Not much Internet Facebook or sms. Signal is around 1 to 2 bars ltE. Sync is set to hourly that it unplugged and 1 hour 30 minted in Iwas at like 72% my iPhone lasted all day and up st 5 charge at 10 I was at about 60% heavy usage.
I am on Verizon also. I'll be returning it Friday if I can not figure this out. I have been reading all day with no luck.

Not sure if this will help but my wife had the same issue on her S5. Battery was terrible. Bought another battery from amazon. Problem fixed. Might just have a dud battery. It happens.
Sent from my SM-N910V using XDA Free mobile app
I hate to go out buying new batteries if that's not the problem and the phone is only 3 days old. That and I hate the fact I cannot turn off 4G. I can do this with iPhone and I get gre as t service. With 4G on inside at work I can hardly send images or talk on phone. But I was hoping the note 4 would be better with service. I hoped lol

I hear what you are saying but I'm telling you it happens. The battery is $13. On amazon. If you don't want to do that take it to Verizon and they will do a load test on it. Maybe give you a new battery. My advice, stop wasting time on what it could be and get a new battery. I did this for a month with my wife's S5. New battery fixed everything.
Download 4G LTE switch from app store to fix your 4G issue.
