Does anyone know if the unlocked version has Emergency Alert (presidential, amber, etc.) capabilities? I have an "Emergency Alerts" app on the phone, but I don't know if it came with the phone or was installed when I copied stuff over from my earlier M9.
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone. I recently bought a htc diamond off of craigslist and I brought it into my cellphone provider to have it activated but they could not program my phone number into it. I called the guy who sold me the phone and he said that it had be unlocked and has an updated software. How do I program my phone number into the phone so that I can receive calls?

This is so strange, I have never heard of anything like this.
Do you mean it is locked to some network? What happens when you put your sim card inside the phone? Does it ask you for an unlock code, or does it work normally?
Answer these questions and maybe someone might be able to help you.
Mine is a CDMA version. I know the it was unlocked and flashed, but there must have been an error because when I tried to change the msid to my number it would say it was updated then it would shut off and not turn back on. I flashed it back to the original bell rom, but now I need the mastercode to get into it. Unless I can re flash it with a different rom to change it that way. before I flashed it I could click on an icon that said phone codes and edit my msid that way, but now that i have factory settings I cant edit anything.
It's a UK vodafone G4 which I got unlocked and was using my O2 sim without issues. I ported the O2 number to iD Mobile (three network) and can use SMS as well as mobile data but calling doesn't work at all.
I put a Three sim in and it's exactly the same issue. The iD sim works fine in other phones. Other sim cards work fine in the G4. It's just iD and Three sims that won't make or receive calls.
I since used LGUP to install a kdz file (V20c-234-15) in the hope anything vodafone will be removed but that didn't make any difference. In the phone Settings if I check Network Status it shows the iD connections, in Status it shows Unknown Phone Number, in Network Mode it displays 2G/3G/4G, APN shows all correct iD settings. If I search for Available Networks it displays all the usual UK networks and only lets me select iD network.
Customer service said wait a few more days after porting and suggested a faulty sim (yet works in other phones) but after both iD and Three sims showing the same issue I've not much hope in their suggestions.
I know others that bought the vodafone G4 and unlocked it for Three haven't had any issues. I only found 1 other post online that has the exact same issue as me but their post hasn't updated since last month.
I don't know what to try. Other sims work, just not iD/Three. Any ideas for me to try?
I've since tried another kdz file for lollipop as I know for sure the sim worked before the number was ported before the phone was upgraded to MM.
Still doesn't work for calls, only data and SMS.
Can anyone offer more suggestions to try?

This is a weird problem maybe your problem is modem or wrong kdz file. Downlaod right file and flash again and be sure that you click refrush that is makes wipe in LGUP.(I use LGUP)

Thanks,
I had this problem with stock rom too though. I only started trying more kdz files in the hope that might work. Issue started the moment my number ported from O2 to iD Mobile.
Wierdly the phone doesn't like Three network sims either now and those worked fine before the number port happened.
Am really confused

Hi.
I bought a second hand m9, all was fine, then I unlocked the bootloader and make it S-off, flashed twrp and rooted.
I decided to put in my sim card but the phone won't get any signal, only emergency calls, I checked the imei and it is clear, no blacklisted. I tried different radio, flashed new firmware, and nothing works.
The sim is ok, the phone reads the sim correctly but won't reach any signal, the notification panel say "no service" and I cannot find any network in the "network operators" menu.
I also changed the imei using "oem writeimei" fastboot command it works but the phone still won't recognize the carrier, so I already frustrated and tired.
Which are your suggestions?
Thank you.
Is the network compatible? Cdma vs gsm..

Have you found a solution?
I have a similiar problem.

Look at the link I posted for the other guy.
what about not verizon version

Hello All,
I have a verizon LG G4 that was purchased in late 2015 and I am no longer a Verizon customer. Since I now use ATT, I decided to shred the old Verizon sim card and switched to unlocked s7.
Since the phone no longer contains a sim card, when I try to use the verizon software upgrade assistant on PC, while the utility shows that there is a software update for a moment, it immediately switches and says that phone is upto date. The phone number shows up as 000-000-0000 (most likely because there is no sim card in it)
Would you please let me know if there is a way around to get the software update? Perhaps, a way to download the update locally to my PC and then push it to the phone?
Thanks!

you're welcome bro!!!
Hello,
My question is can I use Odin to install Rogers firmware on non rooted but unlocked Telus phone? Or must the phone be rooted first?
I bought a Samsung s6 edge plus that was on Telus, I had it unlocked.
I can make and receive voice calls, I can receive texts but, cannot send text. When I go into message ...settings...more settings....text message, the Message Center says "not set" but when clicking on it to edit it, is is an option that is "greyed out" and cannot be changed
I am hoping I can just install the Rogers firmware to have this setting changed , or at least have the option to change it then.
Thanks,
JTCNB
PS. The phone's Charging Data / Chaging port is damaged and will be replaced soon. I assume I will have to have this fixed before I can do anything,
Well....just had to change CSC code and all seems to work fine
And now cannot send text again.....FML
