First of all I apologise if this issue has been covered in the past, I couldn't find anything specifically on this issue by searching.
I have 2 HTC Desires A8183, both Telstra branded handsets with Android 2.1.
As I unboxed them (unboxed, brand new, no HTC IME mods or any other third party installed), I noticed one of them had mic icon to allow Voice to text on the keyboard, while the other one only had the settings icon.
I cannot get my head around this issue. Why is this?
I tried to install the stock Telstra ROM 2.1 from HTC website but it's still missing the mic icon.
Anyone has any comments about this?
I think there is an option in the settings which is connected to the S-T-T. When you click it, it points you out that you need to download an app from the market and then it enables the feature. Its on the bottom of the settings list named "Voice input and output"

I have a motorolla defy and upgraded to cyanogen 7 and really need this feature too.... it is gone
Chichoko is right, I had Telstra branded handset (now running CyanogenMod 7.1), you need to download Speech To Text from the market to enable this feature

After finally solving the data problem im now able to receive mms BUT as small and bad compressed images. Seems im having the same problem as win mobile hd2 / touch hd etc.
wonder if the fix may be something similiar - change reg keys to make operator think they r dealing with n95 device.
anyone having the same problem?
Like to know as well. I need to spoof my user agent to receive mms with my carrier

Hi Guys did any one have the chance to run Viber for Android on the Wildfire S?
If so please tell me how.
Works fine on mine, installed just like any other app from the market.
I did the same download from market and install it but it can not continue for activation it cant receive the activation code threw SMS and the other solution from the site did not work any one know what to do knowing that it was successful to get the program working on the sensation.
Problem solved and it was related to service provider not the Wildfire S it was due to moving from one service provider to another one with the same phone number
Mine's OK.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e from somewhere in Pluto.
it might be the huge blue letters that are keeping it from working. IDK
I don't have isntall HTC Sound Enhacer and now I can't reinstall!...
The hardware versiĆ³n isn't compatible or similar say.. the error
How I can reinstall it??
I have an HTC Trophy.
The same happens to me. Perhaps is an HTC problem or something to do with the Mango update. I've been doing some research but I haven't found anything yet... I have a Mozart by the way. Let's see if anybody can help us!
Nobody?
Doesn't anybody else have the same problem?!

I had similar issues with attentive phone. I was able to install it via HTC Hub. Did you try that?
Yes, I have, but I get the same error... I don't know what else to do. It's like the app isn't compatible with Mango or sth like that.
same error here.... error N. 80320011
but attentive phone works well on my HD7
Same issue on HD7.
Did you force the update using the NoDo trick? I think it may have sent down the wrong ROM or something. Phone may be missing drivers, which is why it's not allowing us to install.
Not sure, yet.

Yes, I did. Maybe you're right and we're missing the right drivers or something. So what are we now suppose to do? Wait for an update to pop up on Zune? Otherwise, Mango is working perfectly so this is not actually a big deal...
It's a big deal if you listen to music on your phone. The Sound Enhancer/EQ was needed. The phone has terrible sound otherwise.
I don't believe that is a driver problem because when you download a update, you donwload a package whit a check code... if the code is wrong the package isn't valid an won't install it.
I think is a HTC or APP problem with the developers app or server....
Same problem here with sound enhancer. But attentive phone works with installing through HTC Hub. Both are not visible in Marketplace for me.
I sent a support request to HTC.
Facing same issues with my HTC HD7. My phone's FW is 2250.21.40502.707.
Same problem and I didnt force the update
I had the same problem with Media connect HTC APP (in spanish "Medios conectados") too.
Its working fine after a hard reset but the compass app is still not working for my HTC HD7.

so, the same as mine. So why we have different firmware ?
i confess i forced the update and you?
I have the same problem with my HTC Mozart - error 80320011.
I'm running the OFFICIAL final HTC version of Mango, Asian ROM, flashed at my local HTC store in Taiwan. So definitely not a driver issue.
After flash several HTC apps were installed by default, including sound enhancer. Now sound enhancer shows an update in Marketplace, but can't install it - get download error 80320011. Also get "this app is not available for your device" with HTC media connect and Compass.
I think it's a marketplace issue, and will resolve itself in time.

Thanks for the info! Now we know it's just a matter of time until the issue resolves itself!
When running Skype on the background with the new picture-in-picture feature and doing some browsing around on chrome or doing anything else for that matter, the G3 happens to kill Skype and my Skype call hangs up. Does anybody else encounter this problem or does this relate to G3's awful memory management?
Another friend of mine who owns an S5 said she doesn't have the same problem.
I'm running on the latest stock firmware and I have the 16GB version (But surely 2GB shouldn't be an issue to run Skype in the background).
Nobody else has this problem?
