Hi,
I have a Lumia 950 phone running windows 10 mobile. and am intending to use a FTDI usb to serial(rs232) cable with the USB OTG port on the phone. however, the cable driver is not automatically installed. I downloaded an ARM-based winRT driver from FTDI but have no way to load the inf file to the phone.
Does someone did similar things before? help is much appreciated!

when i connect my defy+ with the usb cable to windows vista,
and i set android to usb mass storage (UMS) it always fails,
as the MTP driver is trying first and it fails. both motorola phone portal,
and windows media sync are successful but i am not a fan of them.
i installed the driver from "MotoHelper_2.1.32_Driver_5.4.0.exe"
i also tried removing the driver to lure out the generic UMS driver,
but no luck.
i can connect with no problems on bsd. most of my media files
are on the win machine, that's why it would be nice to have it...

I also have this issue on Windows7 64Bit
Driver issue
In Windows 7 x64 I'm pretty sure it's a driver related problem, search for x64 drivers. On vista i would suggest connecting the phone thru the usb cable and let windows install it's own software from the update center. Hope this helps.
Hi There,
HTC ONE M8 Usb is not recognized under windows 7 64-bit enterprise.
tried drivers from HTC sync and tried stand alone drivers.
On a different pc 32bit running windows ultimate it works immidiatly as well as on a VMWARE machine.
any advice please?
Thank you!!!
anyone?!
The latest version of HTC sync drivers should work. However you will have problems with 3rd party drivers on 64bit systems as they are generally not signed and Windows 64 bit will not allow use of these drivers unless you disabled driver signing enforcement

unfortunatly that didnt do any change.
whatever i do windows does not except the driver. I plug in the phone and immidatly it shows with a exclamation mark in the device manager.
tried different ports and different cable, i uninstalled any previous smartphone drivers and software, although it works just fine with another computer running windows 7 (32bit).
any hint on how to troubleshoot?
thank you!!
Solved!
solved by using 3rd party software (wierrrd)
1. install moborobo http://www.moborobo.com/
2. plug the phone with "Usb debugging" ON
3. Accept the "not signed" driver warning
4. It will now automatically install the driver succesfully after which you can uninstall moborobo and the drivers will still work

Worked fine for me when I installed it on my work laptop running the same version of Win 7. I've got admin rights but explicitly ran the downloaded file as administrator and once I had connection confirmed, I deleted the synch manager portion of the installation (hey, great idea - let's make people download and install 130Meg of files just to get Windows device drivers... NOT)
i actually found another way to work with this...
search google for windows xp mode. it will take you to the microsoft website and it will download a pc virtualizer with xp built in. the software is windows xp 32 bit. i just unlocked my bootloader using this and it works great
hi
i have buy lenovo ethernet adapter for my surface rt, but i connot found arm drivers
thinkpad usb 3.0 ehernet adapter
is it possible work whit my surface??
If you plug it in and it doesn't work automatically, then probably not.
I don't know if you're running RT 8.0 or 8.1. On 8.0 there was exactly 1 driver available for worked with USB adapters that used the AX88772 chip, but I'm fairly sure they are USB 2.0. This driver was NOT included with the OS.
With 8.1 I believe there are two drivers that shipped with the OS, but I recall reading that they don't automatically install when a USB Ethernet adapter is plugged in, so you might try running the add new hardware wizard and select the driver manually. I still suspect these drivers are for USB 2.0 but I'm not sure. Perhaps you'll get lucky...
Try install this driver. Only for Win8.0.
Hi,
Tablet: RK 3126
Manufacturer: Rockchip Fuzhou
Tablet OS: Android 4.4
Laptop OS: Win 10 x64
Problem: Not able to install drivers/ successfully connect the tablet to my laptop.
The tablet doesn't have a normal micro USB port, instead it has a 5 pin connector. Something like this. I cut a USB cord in half and managed to connect the tablet to the laptop. Now device manager shows "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" which as I understand is supposed to happen with Rockchip tablets. Now, I cannot get further to this. I downloaded Rockchip driver assistant v4.3 and tried all variants of x64, x32 and win8, win7, vista, xp but nothing seems to work.
Please help if you have ever worked with Rockchip devices with Windows 10.
Thanks.
Turns out the USB cable was defective. What are the odds of that! Works great now
Hi Folks,
i am new to this Forum and i did not find the right Thread. I installed successfully Windows 10 ARM on my 4 Lumia 640 XL until to the issue that the installation as it self could not complete because the touchscreen as it self wouldn't be recognized by windows.
Can somebody help me there?
I can go back by the windows phone repair tool to Windows Mobilr 8.1. Also i've tried different approaches with the latest or a specific version of Windows 10 ARM. All of those bring me to the same stage, that i stuck on the language selection of a fresh installed Windows 10 ARM. I also tried to connect a USB or Bluetooth Keyboard or Mouse with no success (one with cable and one without) via an USB to Micro USB adapter that i usally use with my raspberry pi zero. And yes, i downloaded the drivers for the Phones and copied them on to the path of the driver section like in this tutorial:

does somebody have any idea how to solve that?
Thank you in advance!
Anyone? Or is this maybe the wrong category?
