[M8QL_UL] Custom Recovery /- HTC One M8S - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys! I need some help...
I've unlocked the bootloader, and flashed the twrp version 3.0.2-1-m8ql. - I HAVE A M8s ! Now when i go into the recovery mode, and go to RECOVERY and click my power button, i get in the HTC screen like when u just start your phone. Then appears "Entering Recovery..." in a pink font. On the bottom is a red coloured font with permissions etc from htc. But it just reboots, and doesn't goes in the TWRP recovery. PLS HELP!

I've you flashed the good version of TWRP Custom Recovery ? I've you use a good version of Fastboot (HTC_FASTBOOT). For the Red Message, it's normal

[Q] can't get through recovery

i have a HBOOT 0.83 desire。。。。i have flash recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-bravo-slcd.img,and then i flash CM,2.2.when the recovery is availdable(the first time get it recovery by using reflash)...but i can't get in the recovery when i use it without PC.....it always show me a htc logo in the screen...and i don't know what to do with it?how can i boot into a recovery?
I am having the same issue, any ideas?

turn the phone off and volume down + power button. then elect recovery

Select Reboot, when the lights for the buttons go out hold the Vol down button & you'll boot into hboot. Just make sure you select "Reboot".

Go to bootloader then choose recovery

thanks Guys but it only goes to a black screen with a red triangle and exclamation point dont knwo what to do I have no recovery and only boots into fast boot dont know how to flash a kernal need help

[HELP] Problem with installing recovery?

Hi everyone on this forum.My friend buyed wildfire s with version 2.26 and unlocked bootloader.I rooted it with Kingo Android Root ,and tried to install ClockworkMod Recovery v.5.0.2.6 with fastboot it installs but after i try to go into recovery it shows only empty black screen.What can be problem?Tnx in advance
Install ROM manager and try to install CWM from there (official version, 5.0.2.8).

you should try twrp recovery instead its simply better with more features than cwm
just get the img file from teamwin site and make sure you get the right one then flash it via fastboot

thank you guys for answers i will try today and tell you is it installed.....
No luck again..We tried everything..When we install that TWRP recovery and try to go into recovery it simply stuck at splash screen...And again ClockworkMod Recovery v.5.0.2.8 through fastboot send it successfully(like on cmd picture) but when we try to go into recovery it shows this black screen...any help will be apreciated tnx
EDIT: seems that clock work recovery is installed and working but we can't see it

have you tried hitting volume up? I believe if you have no flashable files in stoage older versions of cwm will show a blank screen.

You could also trie: [RECOVERY][CWM] PhilZ 6.0.2.8 - This is also a version of cwm.

bootloader question

i finaly got adb to load my stock file it went thru the hole process pass all good i reboot it stay on htc screen when i go to recovery and enter it stays on entering recovery any help would be good

What bootloader version do you have and are you trying to use a custom recovery? If so, which one and what version?

im on 3.16.0.0000 and im using twrp 2.8.3.0 and the os is 1.54.401.5
There's your problem, the bootloader is too old to run the new version of TWRP. Either use 2.7.x or update your FW and ROM

ok i installed twrp 2.7.1.0 same thing but now i go to recovery it says entering and stays there for a bit then reboots to main htc screen with logo and stays there.the phone doesn t start up just stays on htc logo

does this mean my m8 is a paperweight? lol i was trying to downgrade from lollipop 4.19.161.2 i downloaded the 1.54.161.5 nandroid/firmware/stock recovery i changed the firmware to 0P6BIMG.zip on external sd card went to bootloader and it flashed the 1.54.161.5 firmware first, all i can get into is stock recovery with blue text with the red triangle and exclamation mark, i am s-off, adb doesnt list my device. is there anything i can do to bring it back to normal?

Thats stock recovery.
Go to fastboot, flash custom recovery, and flash away!
Or, run RUU from either zip or from RUUmode..
Easy as pie

thats the thing i cant get into fastboot and its going on a boot loop (htc logo twice then to a black sceen with red triangle and red exclamation mark)

just takes me to stock recovery ! and if i hold power button and volume up it goes in a boot loop

Keep them pressed, phone will reboot and will get you in fastboot mode

nope keeps going to htc logo then off then htc logo and keeps doing it

As soon as the phone turns off, switch to power + volume down.
I have some good ment advice for you @p1xel-cl0ck :
Please keep your issues in 1 thread, you are difficult to follow around. And many of your issues are pretty basic. Please read up before you do something again.
