Found a website that offers better batteries for trophy( also for other phones). Has anybody had any experience with them?
Anyways the battery I am looking at the moment is this:
mugen-power-batteries[dot]com/htc/htc-7-trophy-t8686-htc-spark/mugen-power-1800mah-extended-battery-for-htc-7-trophy-t8686-htc-spark.html
I've ordered the 1800mah variant. According to the website, it will ship out on february, 18. Will let you know.
Thanks for the link. I ordered it and got the 1800 mAh today.
The phone is currently running of its first full charge, so atleast it works.
Will get back with impressions of battery power later. Perhaps I will try to do some tests.

Well, it certainly gives me longer battery life compared with the original battery. Though I can't say exactly how much longer, if it is the specced 50%; haven't conducted any tests yet.

I also would love to hear real world tests of how well it works. Getting a day and 1/2 would be great with out making the phone bigger...
Makes me wonder why HTC didn't put a 1500+ mah battery in the first place...

There was a delay in the stock/shipping. It shipped out today. Will let you know as soon as it is in.
Have been using the above described battery for 3 days now. I don't sense a positive difference, in fact I feel that it is running out of battery a lot sooner then the original one.

hmm it's a bit too thick for my taste but nice boost anyway!
HTC sells a 1500 mah battery that fits into the same case. I'm thinking of getting that, at least just to have a backup battery.
Do any of these other batteries fit into the same case?
I have a US / VZW trophy.
the 1500mah battery from the Evo doesnt fit right in the trophy. and the 1300mah battery doesnt even turn on the evo? weird
I haven't run in to any battery issues. I get through the entire day with the phone at 40% battery or so with moderate usage. On my Droid before this, I had to recharge in the middle of each day.
The 1750 that fit my incredible fits and works great

Yea, I got the Mugen 1800mah battery. I did find myself close to a or a dead battery after an regular day(hour to 2 calls, some browsing/games during the day) with the OEM battery.
With the same usage with the Mugen, I end up with about 30-40% left by the end of the day. As I won't say it will be perfect by any means, it will last longer than the factory battery in my tests, no question, about 30-40% more.
And YES, it does work in the Verizon version(on the site it said it does not work with the Verizon version), as I got mine from (http://www.mugenbattery.com/) and it works great.
as a point of interest to this thread, not sure if it's been pointed out yet, the Trophy shares the exact same battery (style) as the Droid Incredible. my wife has the Incredible and I can swap batteries between the two w/ no issues. So any battery you find for the incredible will work w/ the Trophy.
Their is a bigger better longer lasting battery available for the x8 and at 2600mhz look's like it will improve battery life by atleast a few day's. these are most likely readily available on ebay for around £75-£85 or around $100-$125
these look very good for people on here who have battery trouble's.
Just thought id let you all know about these ! ! !
Much better battery !
any link?

I'm using that http://www.ebay.com/itm/GOLD-2430MA...874932?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c223359b4
Heavy use (3G, WiFi, Messaging, Music and so on): 3 - 4 days...
Extremely cheap, buy it, You will not regret guys!
Edit: Main thing, SAME size as the original battery
That one is really ugly
U can make ur battery last longer by a few things..
1. Get Advanced task manager, to kill all the processes
2. Get a new ROM, coz the original one has a LOT of irrelevant stuff running
3. -> possible if u have custom ROM, delete stock apps that u don't need..etc
4. Turn OFF WI-Fi, BT, data transfer and sinc when u don't use it, also get your brightness down to 40%..
Useful threat -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1464005
Hope i helped!
u all are talking about the mugen power baterry??
X8 will look like a soap with that battery
i rather buy another new phone than buying tat huge battery

i use the same battery but 24 hours max.... like with stock battery. and i also re-calibrate battery few times. i think this is weird :S
@lsalamun what rom do u use?
well, my X8 has the USB PORT broken, so i can't charge it, even connect to the PC, NOTHING, so i bought an universal battery charger, and it takes like three hours to charge :/ .... but my battery now lasts at least one and a half days ... now i'll take my phone to the service, but don't know when and maybe there the srvice will fix the port, but by the way i charge the battery over the night and then i can use it about 2 days, listning music, 3g, wifi, calling(2hours a day) lots of sms etc maybe you can tryit, the charger costs like 10 dollars or less

What is the best battery I can get?
Sent from my X8 using XDA
Hi,
I would like to know what is the best battery upgrade. Sometimes i need to use my phone for geocashing for more than two days and it is very boring trying to find time for waiting for charging. So I'm looking for best solution like extended battery or something like that. Size is not important for me, but i want something quality. Can you help me please ?
Thanks
Since size isnt a problem, id say.. get the Mugen 3200mah battery.
The quality is good and it has almost twice the capacity of the original.
Official samsung 2000 mah is pretty good. I get about 30% more usage on a full charge.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649119
I bought a 9.99 3000mah battery from Ebay. Cut a hole in the back of my cover so it would fit. Anyway I'm getting over 36 hours between charge with moderate use. Atm I'm on 55% battery and I'm on 18 hours 16min. Data on. Sync on. half brightness

thanks a lot for you ansvers
I run ICS with the samsung 2000Amh battery .. I get up to almost 3 days with 1 single charge and about 30% usage (calls and msg and whatsapp)
ICS alone is worth alot in getting the battery juice up..
I have just bought this 2600 mAh battery, has anyone had this, or one similar? any good or bad comment on it?

I'm always afraid of buying cheap batteries because I always hear they might explode...
well maybe not so radical about the exploision, everythink can explode, check out this anker battery thread, haha
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514929
but what is true and so far my experience is that cheap batteries never performed the advertised capacity, i am talking about few dozens i have purchased...
i have only a suggestion: don't use batteries that gives you with the dock of sgs2

I'm using Dragon ICS with Siyah kernel and I'm now on 32% with 28 hours normal use.
What seemed to help is enable and disable airplane mode 3 times in a row. Read that somewhere on XDA and I dont know why but I'm having a better batterylife since
asysa commanded
Custom Rom and kernel and your battery will last you the whole day, and use sreen brightness at 30%
will a 2000mah original samsung battery fit great with the original back case?

I've seen good things about one on Amazon. Which ROM are you using? Also, which kernel?

My guess is a battery issue...not a bad battery tho.
Why not get gsam and post some screenshots after a good long drain?
Your setup, usage and apps have surely changed over time. Something is likely draining your battery.
Read the first 3 posts in the battery thread in my signature.... Its for the N5...but most info is universal.

Ok. I've seen some good things about Anker batteries (like this one:http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-T...H-I515/dp/B0078WL4YO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top)
With a new battery, do a full charge, full discharge (until phone dies and will not turn back on), and another full charge.
+1 for the anker 2200mah replacement. It's cheaper than the oem battery. It lacks nfc though. And as for the whole "battery memory" thing, don't worry about it. Just pop the new battery in and use it however. I just bought the anker to replace the original battery in my wife's s2, her battery life has doubled.
I just bought the Anker 2200 mAh battery and its great. My phone does last a little longer on standby, but my screen-on time hasn't increased by very much (I typically get about 3-4 hrs screen time).
I'm running CarbonROM + Wildkernel and other various tweaks for battery life. My phone spends most of its time in deep sleep.
When you open your battery stats, what things are taking the most out of your battery? I've found the app Wakelock Detector to help a lot in tracking down battery drains.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector&hl=en
GSAM gives a much easier to understand picture of battery usage. If you're rooted, get Gsam root companion as well to see held awake stats. ?
Has anyone tried to put an m9 battery inside an m8 or know if it would work ? They both appear to be the same physically, with the m9 battery just slightly larger in capacity
did u try to put in m8 , m9 battery ? i want to try that so can u reply ?
I put an M9/M8s battery in my M8 about an hour ago. It did fit without a problem.
The phone works and is charging at the moment.

hows the battery life, have you noticed any difference ?
I have m9 battery in my m8...i tried to replace the volume buttons and during that i damaged my battery and the screen heheehhe... Then i must buy new screen and battery and decided to upgrade it with the m9 battery... The screen was brand new and also the baterry. Now i have problems with touch screen and the phone turns off randomly with sound off low battery. When i turn it on the battery is not low... And i got a half inch dead touch strip on my screen... Can this be because of the m9 battery, bad voltage or somnthing similar...
Sorry for my really bad English... :cyclops:
Just to confirm, the m9 battery works normal and that random reboots was not related to the battery... But i dont see any upgrade in the battery life...

I don't think it will fit, but we won't know until someone tries.
