Hi,
I am getting the error com.android.phone stopped unexpectedly repeatedly.
I tried a factory reset and now can't get into phone as it won't let me get past the welcome screen as its constant pop up.
how can i get past this or is it possible to root from this state.. i can still get to the recovery/fastboot screen by pressing volume down & power.
can anyone help with this ? I cannot do anything with the phone... i cant get into it to enable debugging etc
Get into the recovery (if you cant, flash the recovery through fast boot) then do the TWRP wipe and try to get another ROM in. Could be a ROM problem. Try flashing that, then restart the phone.
same issue
I'm having the same issue with my phone. Can somebody give me a step by step guide on how to resolve this?

hey, i have tried every thing for couple of weeks, but its not working for me, as when my cell phone restarts it stucks on the welcome screen, is there any way to delelete the operating system and install it again?
Sequence for recovery is (don't execute the next step if one gets your device back to life):
Soft Reset (Reboot) - this did not help obviously as you wrote.
Hard-Reset - mind that first boot will take much longer than usual, some minutes (up to 10 - depending on the device) will pass until the device is ready again. This is because all operator and init-specific things must be executed on the device with first boot. Be patient and do not interrupt - it must finish by itself. -You may just be stuck here!
Re-Flash the right shipped ROM - mind that the device can only receive the CID matching original ROM, not just any ROM (yet). You must do that while the device is waiting in bootloader mode, otherwise the RUU may not be able to access the device.
Gold-Card Flash a close-matching ROM (so one with same languages and the right device).
Please describe in detail what you did already and what were the results of your actions.
hey thankz, but i tried everything, all the steps you written above i them them all, nothing happened,, please help me,, my fon is stuck for couple of months.. it just shows the welcome screen, nothing else.. is there is a way that i can flash the operating system and reinstall it??
waiting..
bring the device to go into bootloader mode by Hold the camera button on the right side, press the power button. The phone will enter the " bootloader " mode and you 'll see the tricolor boot screen. after that reflash the device with shipped rom can you get at ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Smartphone/Cavalier/Shipped_Complete_Updates/Dopod/
Hi,
Need help. have recently installed the ICS Rom with sense 4.0, was working fine until I go and do a system restore with titanium backup. The phone keeps restarting after displaying messages that the contacts storage has stopped. Message has stopped.
I tried to get into recovery mode to flash the rom again but now I cannot get into recovery mode. I tried selecting recovery from the the phone menu. Tried using volume - and power button it doesnt work.
Please help. Thanks
Can you get into fastboot?
Try taking the battery out, put it back in then try vol- & power
Already tried but it just keeps bypassing the recovery. Tried taking the sd card out, the sim card out, doesnt work...
i was thinking of remotely controlling it...but not sure how to do it
I finally managed to squeeze past the 15 secs window before it restarts to do a factory reset. Now it is back to normal. Just need to try later if can go to recovery.
Hi, everyone
I got promblem with my HTC DHD, it appeared the notice to "force close" many app all time so I cant do anything on my phone. I tried to re-up rom by sd card, everything was in normal process during flashing rom until i reboot the system after finishing flashing, it was stuck on logo screen althought i take time to wait, it was still stuck. I dont know how to shut it down or restart so i took the battery out for a while and put it back then power on again. The strange thing is it didnt show the rom i've just flashed, it worked with everything same like before flashing rom (require pass to unlock device, home screen, apps... Speicially is the error "force close" still same) . I wiped data, cache and everything before flashing. I tried to restart many times but same problem, sometimes stuck on logo screen, sometimes boot to old rom.
Then I decided to up the ship rom by laptop, after running RUU...exe file, it aks me to update the rom version for device without other option. I click update and wait, It appear the error (#171) and ask me to check the cable connection but 100% nothing wrong with the cable or connection. I tried to redo this several times as well but still same. My friend said the emmc chip is damaged and need to replace.
Could anyone help me? I still can go to recovery, hboot/fastboot screen. If emmc chip damaged, i think we still can fix it by software because it not dead.

Same problem here with one desire hd. Force closing many apps and wipe/flashing new rom doesn't help at all. Guess it's the emmc chip, indeed.
I have a LG G3 with rooted stock rom running xposed.
So I pulled my phone out of my pocket today only to see the Verizon boot logo in effect. I was thinking "that's weird, guess my phone needed to reboot? Strange." But the only problem is it never stopped. It will only boot up to the lock screen and occasionally it will display an error message telling me the systemui has stopped. Then about 10 seconds later, it reboots itself. It continues this process until I pull the battery.
I've tried booting into safe mode, no luck. It doesn't even actually boot into safe mode (it doesn't say safe mode in the bottom left corner.)
I tried wiping the cache, no luck.
I don't want to just do a factory reset because that hasn't seemed to help anyone else with this issue as far as I've seen. I have not found any helpful information on how to fix this problem.
My question is, what do I do? I feel lost on this subject. Normally I've always been able to diagnose problems on my own, but not in this situation.
I have all my apps and data backed up to Titanium Backup on my SD card.
Any suggestions?
Xposed is more than likely the cause. Boot into TWRP and open a terminal, then type the commands as shown in the OP of this thread to bypass it...
How to Disable Xposed on Lollipop when stuck in Bootloop

Hey im using a d855. Recently i was on on CM 13 and my phone got in a bootloop. I then tried to flash different roms from TWRP, tried to clear dalvik and cache but failed. Because every time i tried doing that TWRP was unable to mount cache/system etc and couldnt wipe anything. Then I decided to go back to stock. I used the TOT method. While the installation was going on in the LG flash tool it got stuck about 30-40 percent and a fail message popped up. It was because my phone randomly just shut off in the middle of the installation. So, i tried to do it all over again, but this time i cant even get into the download mode. When i hold down the volume up button and plug in the USB the phone goes directly to the LG screen and then goes into the "Firmware Update" screen. I tried to install the stock rom in this state, but this tie the installer stops at 5 percent and an error saying "cant get into download mode" pops up.
Now, theres no twrp, when i try to get into recovery it goes straight back to the firmware update screen. Turning the phone on normally also has the same result. I am using a USB 2.0 .
What should I do? Is there any way to save this thing? Or should I call it quits and declare it dead?
TIA
use LG mobile support tool - put into download mode, now DON'T click start upgrade - Rather goto options then click update recovery - this will write slowly the complete firmware back to phone to fix corrupted files etc - will take 57+ mins and may seem stuck from 0% to 22%, it's not just wait it out . 1 hour + to fix.
