Hi.
Im struggling to highlight and cut out only the token numbers im supposed to. I also get all the surrounding text.
I know its stupid but i must be doing something wrong here
Anybody that has done this the right way?
Thanks
Knievel
Well it was right under my nose. Right click on the upper frame around the fastboot window, then uncheck something about text marking /highlighting. (My os language is not english)
Then it did behave as it should.
Now happy unlocked and rooted.
Thanks.
If you get the surrounding text, just paste it into notepad and remove the text you don't need, then paste into htc dev. I've had to do this before too.

So after having my new Tilt 2 for a couple of days I was cleaning out my inbox and I realized that because there is no d-pad I cannot select an e-mail without opening it, unless I have the keyboard out and use the arrows
This means that if I want to delete an e-mail that is not at the top of the list I need to press once to open, once to open menu and again to delete. Does not seem right.
I think I saw something that allowed the zoom slider to be used as a dpad of sorts but I actually like it the way it is.
I feel really stupid asking this and I did search but could not easily find an asnwer.
click on the small letter, you will see the menu that will allow use to manage the mail without seeing it.

Here's one hard-key solution that re-maps the volume keys on the side of the phone:

That's a great tip! I never realized that! You should put that in the wiki!
Thanks
Thanks to both vigohz and MCBrian!
You can also press and hold the message in the list you wish to do something with and you will get the same list of actions as if you tapped on the small letter.

You seem to be lost...you have a Kaiser, not a Rhodium.
You should be posting in one of the Kaiser sub-forums.

Wow, I did not know either of these two tips, I had been opening the onscreen keypad and using the arrow keys to move down to the message. Thanks to both of you!
i found this over at the nexus one apps and themes section. It is in chinese but you can change the language to english.
-steps to turn into english-
first open the game and you will get a little popup with 2 choices click the left one. after that you should get a load up screen that says "team Top3"
after that it will take you to the log in screen and press the middle button.
It will take you to the registration screen, fill in the following:
Username:
Password:
Repeat Password:
then hit the button to register.
Enter your credentials in the log in screen and press the right button this time.
once you log in keep on pressing the most right green button until you get to another loading screen that has plants popping up from the floor. once that finishes loading press the button underneath the loading bar and you'll finally be at the homescreen with a tomb stone.
Once logged into the tombstone screen click the second pot from the left at the bottom of the screen and you should see "EN" with a check box.
can you link to where you found it? Kind of skeptical
sure i found it here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934017

haha from what I've read, this is a just a clone, but a really well made one
pretty sweet if you ask me, it should hold a lot of people over until the official is released
has anyone checked to see if this thing is pulling any personal data in the background? There are wall papers on the MARKET with some malicious code.. it'd be pretty easy to sneak some into a game as popular like this and sheer the sheep.
I've heard that the internet access permissions are for a chinese gaming score system or something that probably doesn't apply to most of you here but there's a bunch of people using the app with no problem or compromised data...but use at your own risk I guess

damn closes with no error after developer splash screen, epic 4g
thank you
this worked out great after figuring out that you need at leat 4 letters and 3 numbers in ur password and i put a number in my name just to make sure. Thanks again.
I have tried all formats for name/pw as well and nogo, can't someone just take the apk apart and make it english by default so we can at least know what error we are getting?

Took me a couple times to get it right. Ultimately, just kept following his directions n it worked.

Try posting a screen shot or a video about the error you got and let people who understand chinese help you.

Actually its quite awful. Very poorly made, low resolution, and not that fun. There is an APK floating around that doesn't require the login, but I'm not going to bother digging it up again, since its probably warez.
Better off to play the copy cat "Leave Devil Alone" or wait until the real PVZ comes out from Popcap.
I actually think it got good res in my opinion. It looks like the real thing.

I've using my NG for a week now and still trying to figure out how to copy/paste.
I see the check mark come up when I highlight text but I can't figure out how to get the text to copy. I tap the check mark but doesn't seem to do anything.
Any good YouTube videos or anything that show how to do this?
It's not the check mark you want, next to the words "select all" you'll see an icon that looks like two pages, clicking that will show a dialogue at the bottom of your screen saying, "text copied to clipboard". Pressing and holding again will give you the option to paste.
Thank you , feel pretty dumb now.
Or just simply tap highlighted text again ....

Don't be. I had the same problem myself. It's a crappy system. Moreover good questions like this create a good reference for new users moving forward.
There are no such things a stupid questions or feeling dumb, just learn from your mistake or the hole in your knowledge and try to pass on what you know the next time someone else needs help.
I had exactly the same issue finally figured it out after my third attempt at copying from a browser window!
I wish there was an easier way to scroll the cursor around tho, i miss the trackball on my N1. They really should add a popup onscreen wheel onto the keyboard.
Off topic sorta, but I was just reading an article where one of the Cons of Android vs iOS is that Android doesn't have system wide Copy/Paste.
I lol'd
i'm not able to cut and paste from within tweet deck like I could on my Gingerbread. Quite frustrating
Theres a manual that covers all such essentials.
Get it by googling "samsung galaxy nexus" to go to googles official site for the phone, click register, bung in your email and they will send you a link to the manual.
The manual that should have come in the box IMHO!!
Hey there!
I have a question regarding the "Motion Screen Lock" on the samsung s3.
After selecting this lock screen option, at the bottom of the screen there is text showing reading out "Tap and hold screen, then tilt the device towards you".
My question to you guys (and girls) is where I would find the file that contains that text so I could either swap it or better yet remove it completely.
I really have no other questions as of now and I assure you I've tried searching through this entire forum to find the answer myself with no luck.
Quite excited to start this as this will most likely be the beginning of my own personal S3 modding.
Thanks and hope for some quick answers

You'll probably have to decompile part of the framework. If I had to guess I'd go with either twframework-res.apk, or one of the other framework.jars or apks.

Actually I just packed up the entire framework directory and did a long search to find the text string and I found them in "resources.arsc"
I believe this is the main "text entry" file for the framework. I'd simply notepadd++ it, but I don't think that will work as it seems like its encoded.
Is there some sort of tool I can use to decompile this type of file ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Apktool. Search apk multitool here on xda.

I managed to decompile and recompile the framework and got it working just fine!

Hello all,
Before M8 i owned HTC Sensation. I think at that phone word prediction was more pratical.
For example;
when i would like to write a longer word like "swimming", firstly i was typing "sw" and the phone predict me the word "swim" and for not typing all the rest letters i was clicking the "swim" word and after then i could continue directly this word. Type "ming" and voila the word "swimming"
But at M8, when i click the "swim" word the phone add automatically a space character and if i continue to typing "ming" it creates like this "swim ming" . So is there any way to prevent adding this space character ?
Somewhere in the settings for the keyboard likely. Just look around the settings.
If not, try a keyboard or two to replace it. That option is on most of them.
