Anyone building a custom ROM based off of the official Sprint MM? - Sprint Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Been checking everyday hoping for some release based off of the official Sprint MM rom.
Very discouraging. Has everyone moved on to the S7 or some other phone?

Hey bro!
Check this thread out, make sure to read EVERYTHING!!! (Page 1 - Whatever it is..)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint/help/carrier-rom-sprint-galaxy-note4-t3345864

The reason i have not built a custom MM ROM for the N4 (PC1 or PD1) is because I have been working on a N5 MM port. I would much rather run the N5/S7 MM port rom than our outdated TW of the PC1/PD1 roms. It's hard to go back to the older TW software without theme engine support etc.

Great thanks for this news, I found my MM is having some issues, and keep waiting for your MM ROM everyday!:fingers-crossed:

The N5 MM port has some unique challenges in framework which is a bit different than Lollipop. It takes a lot of time to port these things and i do what i can when i can. I also have to take extended breaks due to how mental this task is at times. But i'll get it sorted out as soon as i can. In the meantime freeza has been working on a custom PC1/PD1 rom that will be a nice change from the pure stock rom.

Thank You for continuing to support the N4 with your talent. Very excited and looking forward to your release.

Now that the GPE S4 is getting Android 4.4....

Do you think this will be an easy port to bring a ROM to our T-Mobile devices, or will we need a radio update (like the TW 4.3 ROMs are requiring)?

I think it will be an easy port.
There are already 4.4 roms for the S4 coming out. All of the custom roms like CM and AOKP are ultimately based on the 4.4 source.

Sweet! That's what I assumed as well. I won't say I can't wait because I can, but I am certainly anxious. Kit Kat runs very lovely on my Nexus 7 'S, both 2012 & 2013.

[Q] Which TW ROM is still being updated?

I want to go back from TW from a long run on MIUI and I am just wondering which TW ROM's here are still being updated?
I don't want AOSP because they are often unstable and I need a stable ROM for work.
MOAR 7.0 (recently updated)
MOAR 6.0 (Older and perhaps more stable)

I almost moved down there when we moved out here a couple of years back... I love going down that way!
There's probably more TW ROMs out there, but honestly I installed MOAR and never looked back. It's definitely worth a look.
MOAR is definitely worth flashing, highly customizable and the dev is always improving. Hello from Colorado as well!
Wicked Sensations is also being updated with a great bunch of themers working on it all the time.

Wrong section for this. We can't have a kitkat tw rom until we get the official update.

Well technically if we can build the 4.4 kernel from source then we could port it. Although I am sure it will require devs to fix the posted source before it can compile properly.
So waiting for an official release will be easier and less problematic. It will mot be very much longer before the official version is out. Two months tops.

List of TouchWiz Lollipop ROMs working on Note3 Tmobile

Edit: I have switched to Note4.
I shall not be able to update the thread anymore.
Just wanted to share this with everyone, as I have tried a few of the TW Lollipop ROMs.
DOMPOP - Exclusive Lollipop ROM for 900T with active development, getting better with every updates.
ViSiON-X N3 INTL - ViSiON-X ROMs always had good stability and good battery life. Now we got a lollipop update too.
Tweaked PORTED Stock Note4 Lollipop - ROM is basically for the international version, but separately flashable CSC pack makes it compatible for almost all variants including 900T. Lots of mods and aroma selectable notification panel.
DarkLord ROM - My daily driver for now. Not a lot of bells and whistles (mods), but that also makes it very stable. Selectable kernel in the aroma menu makes the installation process a snap.
AryaMod - Lots of mod choice through aroma including CSC pack.
Official TouchWiz Lollipop 9005XXUGBOA5 - Just the recovery flashable latest official stock. Hence with all the bloats too. Stable.
A general suggestion for those coming from Kitkat.
Make sure you are on latest NK3. If you loss c network connectivity, the Effortless Guide is your friend to return back.
Make good backup, both nandroid and TB.
Make a full wipe (Wipe cache/davlik cache, Format data, Format System) in recovery.
Restoring TB backup may not work for all apps. I have faced problems with Nova launcher, Facebook, Microsoft office and a few other. Specially don't restore any system apps from Kitkat. This may cause instability to the ROM itself.
I haven't tried all the ROMs out there, those can be added later based on others experience.

Didn't notice the lollipop release of ViSiON-X. Added to the OP.
Runing DOMPOP on my N900w8 with NH1 bootloader and Baseband. Running for 3 days without any kind of problems. Only bug is NFC but i can live without it for now.
Is there one, or more, that retain the wifi calling? This is very important for me due to my work environment, no reception in my office.
Just helping..... it's cool.

Sorry, No. The WiFi calling will not be supported in any of these, until the official tmobile release comes out.
As you may be aware, all of these roms are from the international version note3 or note4 releases.
That's why NFC also doesn't work...

Thanks for the response! I figured as much. http://cdn3.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
I just wanted to know if it would be ok to flash one of these Lollipop ROMs, coming from a rooted Android 4.3? Or do I need to be on kitkat? Thanks
Nice thread I went with the official touch wiz all goo here BUT no nfc, no WiFi calling or VoLTE
All of the international ROMs work....

you need to be on the latest bootloader, that means on kitkat.
This is a great thread thanks
I have been running AryaMod for the last few months. It is stable and fast with great features (such as OTA updates and Aroma) and the development is always ongoing. The dev is responsive to requests and provides great support in the thread (already at 132 pages). It's probably the best ROM I have ever had for my Note 3.
I've wanted to try DarkLord for a while but haven't gotten around to it. And no sense in fixing what ain't broke.
Even though my thread is closed until further notice, my rom links are still available. I left them for a reason. I WILL be back soon, I have to let things settle a bit!
I have been getting pm about the n3 roms, there is a demand somewhat.
To include the Intl Lollipop, and the Tmo lollipop.
I am glad you will be back. I have run or tried every rom on my T-Mobile N3 and always come back to yours since they are smoother, no wifi calling problems and the best battery life. I cannot wait until you get your hands on 5.1 and 'vision' those. Thanks for all you do, it makes my phone still relevant and current! Just ignore people who whine and complain, they have nothing better to do!
Not much development over here, what is happening?

Considering you're in the NOTE 3 FORUM, I seriously doubt you're going to find anything for the note 2 here. Try the correct forum, bud.

good kitkat roms?

I know most ROMs are lollipop, and devs are probably focused now on Android M, however I would really like to try some good kitkat ROMs. Reason? need to test performance ?.
so, any good kitkat ROMs that you can recommend, I'd appreciate it... CM preferably but I can also do TW.
cheers!
Me too....I'm running stock 5.0.2 but it doesn't work with usb dacs. I hear the original kitkat 4.4.2 worked great with dacs.
So yeah, any good recommendations for TW kitkat roms. ...or for that matter, any good roms out there at all that support usb dacs?
