Motorola Fire XT (XT530) Software upgrade to version 2.3.5
I have upgraded the software of my XT530 device to the version 2.3.5 via the motorola software upgrade tool available at www.motorola.com/update
I currently don't see any improvements including bug fixes or feature changes for this upgrade. If anyone has more info on this, please share.
Hi,
I have also updated my Fire XT 530 using software update tool to 2.3.5.
In my view there is improvement in the battery part... rest i haven't found anything new.

Yes, I have also observed substantial improvement in battery life as I am able extend usage for more than 2 days.

Vote here for the Fire Xt530 so that we get the attention of developers as this is a very good phone but with very poor software from Motorola !

Hey guys,
I am planning to buy this model but I need a strong push I guess Could you tell me how long does the battery last before O.S update. (In other forums some people said 12 hrs with 2G only which is awful, I wonder if it is as that bad actually).
Moreover, I am planing to buy it from ebay which claims it is unlocked, but it is not clear if the phone is factory or seller unlocked. I mean if I update the O.S of unlocked phone is it gonna be locked to a specific carrier again. What about rooting? Is it matter for rooting as well?
Thanks
ersinism,
Before 2.3.5 update, I used to get battery backup for more than 24h with lot of Edge/WiFi access and some games.
Now I am able to stretch it for 2 days and the overall response has also improved.

Hi... I believe I also encountered this same problem.. I installed the software upgrade tool when my phone is connected to my PC via USB. So it didnt prompt me to upgrade the software, it went automatically to FTM mode.
During process I disconnected the cable and pressed power+volume up buttons to make my device up. Then its fine. Also have done a factory reset just to make sure any cache might have dumped my internal storage (Just for safety) ...

Just update my LG Optimus G Pro F240l (Korea version) to Lollipop 5.01 via LG Mobile Support Tools by installed B2CAppSetup.
Almost installed new firmware F240L30C_00.kdz and was completed bring new Lollipop 5.01. Once optimizing OS completed my LG OG Pro facing problem with NO SIM CARD-Emergency Calls Only appear on screen . Not know understand why facing this issue, by removing Sim card and put properly then restart same there is NO SIM CARD-SERVICE DISABLE.
Not sure whether the issue is Baseband version (my location in Indonesia) because before update the Lollipop still fine.
I have try to hard reset and try to re-flashing the F240L30C_00.kdz using LG Mobile Support Tools 2 times but still facing issue. And try download the Kitkat F240L20h_00.kdz using LG Flash Tool 2014 on process 4% it stop.
Is any method by downgrade the current Lollipop 5,01 to Kitkat for F240L?
I dont want the Lollipop anymore just Kitkat 4.4.2 better. Lollipop 5.01 drain battery faster.
Regards,
LG Optimus G Pro F240L
Baseband Version : M9615A-CEFWMAZM-3.0.113067
Kernel 3.4.0
Build NUMBER LRX21Y
Software version F240L30c
Is any one able to help facing this issue.
By today, after stuck in boot loop U+ logo screen i have decide to back flash my LG OGP to Lollipop 5.01 F240L30C_00.kdz with wish solve it self. But result installed the OS completed but still No SIM Card.
Re-reply
Hi I took the phone to the android expert in mobile market in my area SADDAR AREA-RAWALPINDI CITY-PAKISTAN. Where he highlighted that the ROM, Baseband and Radios where not compatible as well as my phone had some EEPROM problem as well. So he hooked a small box like USB device and pushed the ROM into it via OTG along with the new stock ROM. Now my phone is working perfectly fine and I am more than happy and thankful to the expert. My current stock ROM is lollipop version: 5.0.1

My OGP now running Lollipop successful no facing issue SimCard anymore. I am using CSE Flash.
Hi, All. Ive followed XDA for a long time and love it. I love my verizon G-Pad but ever since the Lollipop update it has just been so slow and almost unsuable. Well ive got good news. Today i found a way to downgrade back to LG Official Kitkat 4.4.2.
Tool Used: LG Flash Tool 2014 - you can download from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
I could only get this to work from LG's Download Mode (with tablet turned off, hold the Vol Up Key and plug in USB cord)
If you are running version 23A Lollipop you must downgrade to 22A first. Attempting to downgrade straight to 11A (Kitkat) will fail at 57% restore.
After downgrading to 22A, allow the device to fully boot then shutdown and return to download mode
Now push 11A firmware, everything should now go smoothly (at least it did for me)
Firmware Download and LG Flash Tool Bundled

Many Many thanks to the Devs of the LG Flash Tool for such a wonderful utility on LG Devices
tutorial?
How do I downgrade to 22a?
In the Firmware download link I've provided is the 22a and 11a firmwares. Follow the LG Flash Tool link for usage.

Hey man gotta question, my pad was on lollipop and only rooted with no real tweaks and I rebooted one day and it sticks at the Verizon logo. I can get to stock recovery where any selection goes to fastboot where any selection goes to a blank screen where I have to kill it. The couple others I've seen with this problem had success with the support tool / update recovery deal but mine says everything is up to date. I tried flashtool with a kdz and I get all the way to it supposed to send it but the tab download stays at 0% and nothing happens....I would rather have kk anyway would it be worth trying this , **** can't hurt the damn thing no worse lol tired of it sitting in my dresser where its been for months ...I really wonder wtf happened to it
EDIT...... OK I feel like a real dumbass lmao... Apparently the pc I was using had an Antivirus on it and apparently the flash tool doesn't play well with an Antivirus
OK has anyone found a twrp that will flash correctly on the vk700? The twrp floating around for gpad 10.1 only works on the v700 cuz its been bumped To work on the locked bootloader....

Well this downgrade is for vk700 not v700 which is a big difference, I found that out by trying to get twrp to work on my vk700 when it's only for v700 which if you have the v700 your better off

I have been trying to root my LG G3 D852 on 6.0 mm, i have found that there is nothing out for that yet. I know know that have to downgrade and I have tried but since I'm on virgin mobile so the downgrade file I tried to use bricked my phone so i had to send it back to LG to get it fixed. Is there any other way to downgrade or root without bricking my phone again?
Thanks
Same problem...

Hmmm. I had the same problem as you did with my G3. Same model and everything. Tried to downgrade it using my computer. Can't remember what tool, but it said it completed successfully. When it went to reboot, it would stay on the LG logo for 15-30 seconds, before going to the broken android screen. After a few minutes, it would reboot. Could enter into the recovery menu from the broken android screen, but when I tried to bump the files or flash a rom, there was nowhere on the phone to store it. I think it removed the partitions during the flash, hence why it couldn't store the files. It's not that I didn't have permission, but it showed in the console that there was no directory to mount. Couldn't even charge the phone in the state it was in. Guess it relied on the OS to control the charging. I'll probably try to simulate the phone, with the stock OS, and see if I can find any exploits that could allow for a "safer" rooting method. Tell me if you find anything yourself!
