Sooo I just copped the Aukey 18W charger and I think it charges faster than the stock LG charger but I'm not sure. Isn't the phone supposed to notify me if QC has activated? I tried it on my G3 and it doesn't even show on that either. Does this thing even work in this? Also, main part of this thread was to start a poll on what you guys think the most effective QC is. Check out the poll.
A QC 2.0 charger will be about 20% faster than stock. Doesn't matter which charger you use. There are several good ones. And several threads on this already.

There obviously are but that wasn't my question. I asked which is effective for the G4 along with a poll. You answered nothing. Read the OP before commenting please.
I've tried every one you have listed plus the ZeroLemon and a Samsung quick charger and they all perform the same, a 20% increase over stock just like I mentioned in my 1st post.

Now this is a helpful comment right here. Thanks. I almost wasted my money buying a different one.
I took a chance at this no-name Chinese Quickcharge 2.0 charger on eBay because Aukey refuses to ship internationally from Amazon, and I was pretty skeptical but this thing actually works. No pops or sizzle sounds emanating from it and it charges much faster than the one that came with the phone.

I just recently bought an 18w Anker quick charge wall charger and it works great. It's faster than stock and doesn't make any noises like the one that came with my phone. What I like about this one is there is a light that turns from blue to green when it recognizes a device that supports quick charge (signifying that it is charging at higher volts). So far I am very pleased with this purchase, though I imagine it is just as fast as most other quick chargers out there. ?
Works great with Samsung Adaptive Quick charge... Also works much better with V10b-EUR-XX than V10a...
I read here: http://www.phonearena.com/news/The-LG-G4s-battery-recharges-23-faster-with-a-QuickCharge-2.0-charger...-or-a-Samsung-rapid-charger_id69692
And it said, that using the "QC2.0-enabled Motorola Turbo charger" it charged the G4 from flat, in 98 minutes.
It also said, that using the "Rapid Charger included with the Samsung Galaxy S6" it charged the G4 from flat, in 99 minutes.
So to me, that equals near enough makes no difference, 1% per minute of charging.
The Anker PowerIQ chargers also charge the G4 at the same pace, from flat to full in around 99 minutes. In my test, I was connected to wifi, and I used the phone as little as possible, but when I did start using it, of course it immediately started charging a lot slower. I have heard that it deliberately does this to avoid too much heat being generated, I think that was a post on here somewhere, but I'm not sure if that's true or not.
I did tweet LG UK to ask if the G4 supports the 9V tier of quick charge 2.0 , but have yet to get a reply.. Maybe I should ask their support instead.. (Although on that point, I don't think it does, due to the tests been performed with a proper QC 2.0 charger, which still took 99 minutes. The fact that the Anker is only 5v, yet charges at the same speed as a QC2.0 charger, certainly implies that the G4 is only using 5V even if 9V is available on the charger..)
I do want to say though how much I like the Anker products, especially the recent ones I've bought (the USB 3.0 hub with 3x PowerIQ ports, and some cables to go with it). They feel really well made, a solid bit of kit to be honest.
But anyway, hopefully this post was useful.
I've only tried the Aukey and I'm very happy with it. So much so that I picked up the 10000mah external battey as well. It also charges quite fast.

The QC spec only calls for increased charging speed from 0-60%. After that it slows and then trickle charge kicks in when it's close to 100%. Going from 99% to 100% can take 3-8 minutes in my observations.
Unless LG relaxes the heat threshold to let the phone heat up a little more, we won't ever see true QC 2.0 on this phone.
The Aukey one most definitely does not quick charge the G4. Ill link to this other thread if I can find it again, but every single person with the Aukey charger said it did not quick charge their G4's. Several of them tested with USB volt and Ammeters. The Tenergy (and by extension, the Anker quick-charger, which is a re-brand of the tenergy) seems to work at 9 volts. Its a shame, the Aukey charger is pretty darn good looking and comes in a slick package. Its very odd because the Aukey quick-charging external battery on the other hand, does just fine quick-charging the G4.
Platinum 2.0 with QQC (Qualcomm Quick Charge )
Purchased at Best Buy on 6/26 for $24.99 What I have found is that it charges faster below 70 % and about the same as LG standard above 70 %. From te comments I've read I think LG is limiting QQC to protect the phone. IMHO
Using the Samsung quick charger from my previous phone (Note 4), and it works great.
I have a "Zerolemon" brand. It works good. I have another for the car... but not sure what brand. Like always, you have to make sure you use a quality cable before it will work. Coming from the G2, I pretty much already replaced the crappy cables.
I use ZeroLemon and Motorola Turbo. Full charge from few mins to 1.5hr instead of 3-5+ hours using 1A chargers
EDIT: USB Tester shows 8.99V 1.32Amps
I just got my Tronsmart 54w 1x qc 2.0 + 3x 2.4mA car charger from amazon. Works as well as the motorola turbo wall charger. Took about 30 mins drive to work to get from 57-97%. Ampere messured approx 1970mA charge rate at start.
Impressive packaging and excellent build quality. Came with thick gauge usb cable. I got at a good price following a slickdeals post.

I don't know about you, but my phone has hit around 112 degrees F when charging. I don't think I want it getting any hotter.
hi,
i've bought a wall charger from Aukey, and a car charger from Tronsmart, both compatibles with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2
http://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00RCM0TGY/ref=pe_386181_40444391_TE_item
http://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00XW0DET4/ref=pe_386181_51767671_TE_dp_1
and with theses 2 chargers, i have the same "issue" : my H815 charges at 6V 1,10A.
Can't these chargers go upper? 7,5V, 9V, 12V?
I received a zerolemon for review promotion but I don't think I'll use it for the daily usages. It is packed in my go to bags when I need quick charging but haven't really used much since LG provided extra battery pack dying the June promotion.
That being said I've noticed about 20% faster on ZL QC.

Hi All,
Got a car charger and multi port charger coming from choetech, I've used their stuff in the past and they are up there with anker as 3rd part cable companies go.
heres an early preview of them, They are looking for beta testers so you can sign up here: http://www.choetech.com/Support-review.html
Be interesting to see what these are like with the htc 10, i will let everyone know more once i receive the items.
@Phil750123, Thanks for sharing this information, I'll be glad to test the car charger!
I actually have the qc3 wall charger. So far it's charging pretty fast on my s7. Agree with other posters that the quality seems really good. Will know how it compares to stock when I get the HTC 10.
Yeah their quality is great. They were the first to come out with a good USB type C wall charger for the Nexus 6p
They're just a little bit logo happy.
RoHS eh idk. Fake CE.. And don't even get me started on that FCC logo.. Someone needs to tell them who/what FCC is..
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable.

Why on earth would a charger need that..
To me they just look like another chinese manufacturer.
Atleast have the brains to use appropriate logos so they'd be semi passable, like I don't know TÜV or UL and so forth..
And, of course, they're nowhere to be seen on Qualcomm's certified accessories list. Not even any QC2.0..
P.S. I did apply for testing, they sent me an email, I replied. Let's see if they send something lol. I'm not a liar so I'm gonna be honest if I do get their stuff for review
Yer they look decent I already have some of their usb c cables, I've just ordered the qc 3 portable charger from them aswell so il review them all and see how get on. But yer they make no mention of favourable reviews they just want a review, which means they are confident in their products which hopefully means they are good
Nice, I have some on the way, they look good.
I actually asked this question at qualcomm but they wouldn't answer, maybe someone knows the answer here, hopefully it is not too confusing.
I was wondering about the QC 3.0 technology chargers. My question is, say I buy a wall charger or a car charger that supports QC 3.0); will it charge my type C phone (say an LG G5 or an HTC 10) as fast with the QC 3.0 technology using a type A to type C cable? I know if I charge a type C device using only type c it will get me faster charges, but if I do type A to type C (with QC 3.0) with the right charger will I still get the best results?
Thanks.

type A to type c wil reduce charging times even with 3.0. I went with these cables and for a car charger I got this one both should give the rapid charging.

Thanks for clarifying, I wasn't sure. I think the HTC 10 charger comes with 3.0 quick charge, but it is a type A to type C.
I actually just got my QC 3.0 Powerbank from Choetech and I love it. Charges everything fast just like the spec allows for, and has a great build quality. One small thing I like is that when fast charging, the first light to the left switches from blue to green to indicate that. I just appreciate the assurance that my device is gonna be juiced up quick. The only thing that's odd about it is that you need to press the power button for charging to begin. I'd prefer it to just start when a device is connected, but that's my personal preference.
Overall I still really like the thing, great to have a powerbank that charges just as fast as my wall charger, before I was stuck with one that didn't have and QC capability. I'll include some pics below.
If anyone has any questions about it, let me know. Should also be getting a 6 port QC 3 charger from them soon too, will post on here when I do.

I was looking at this on Amazon last night, but they don't seem to be on Qualcomm's official partner list, which makes me a bit nervous for my battery (which I'm not super impressed with anyway so far - one of the reasons I was looking at the power bank). Do either the phone or the charger get hot while charging? The HTC QC3 charger seems to prevent overheating.

They aren't, but speeds have been up to par with what I'd expect from QC3 so far so I haven't had problems with it. The charger gets warm after a bit, as does the phone (warmer than with stock charger) but also nowhere near as much as the M9 would when charging. Don't know if you've used that before, but when charging regularly it would get so hot that it had to stop, and that's even with screen off. It was crazy bad at charging, which is a thing I never thought I'd say about a 2015 flagship....so I'm glad the 10 is better in that regard, at least. I'd imagine almost any third party charger is gonna make the phone hotter than the OEM one will, but I didn't have a problem with the heat it generated, overall.

Hello guys,
as the title already says I'd like to know what is your favorite charger for the Le Max 2?
Do you guys all think that the OEM charger from LeEco is the best considering the charging speed or did you find even faster solutions?
Curious for your answers!
ANY qc 3.0 charger, i suppose

Dear collegue. I am yet waiting for my X822. Maybe you could give me some information how long does it take you to fully charge your X820 from 0% and are you satisfied?
regards Olek
If the phone is off, I need about 1h30min. to full charge it when it is not in quick charge. First time I used QC and the phone heated up so that's why I know use the normall method.
For me it takes 1h20min with phone on and the capacity of the battery is correct measured with small USB tool. Fast charging is sometimes 8V and 2.5 A.

got the X822 aka the grey version in transit, couldnt resist it at 222US, ewen thow im not in the market for new mobile, allready pretty satified with the p8max that i like a lot and that dont got any quickcharge tech at all afaik, other then just plain 1.9amp charge cycle., according to my YZXstudio1270 meter, but the 4300mah takes here around 2.15 hour to fill, but slowing down massive the last 5 to 10% like the norm.
that tempo is fine by me, but have also purchased the Vinsic P3 terminator with QC and type C in & out. intended for the X822. seemed reasonable at 28US and with product-specs that shouldnt be to fare for real-world according to reviews.
JUst wondering if you can trick QC3.0 trigger on other devices, got an relative old usb trigger for QC, but no QC phones or at least chargers to check if 9v and 12v can be optainable and be used for ones 12v coreM tablet, just like that and push of an button..
anyway certainly looking forward for my first entry into my first QC device Lemax2 X822 and not least typeC.. LeMax2 lookzs wicked in grey. .:good:

You are sure that the quick charge is actually off.?
when checking on mine X822 and turning the knob in setting < battery < quick charge' to not active.
it still display the same voltage and above +6v to around 9v dynamic.. (its the same when the phone is off)
its like the "quick charge off function" doesnt do anything at all. (am on stock X822 assume its 16s EUI'build)
if you got an usb-meter, try to measure if the voltage actually stays around usb 5v level when turning the quick charge off. (mine it doesnt on stock QC charger)
// digitalnasarma it was on AliE ref CB.

According to qualcomm, it is. My le max 2 shipped with charger EQ-24BUS.
https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list
I'd like a charger for night-time charging. Does anyone know if there are ill effects by leaving your phone on quick charge for extended periods and doing so daily?
And would one risk damaging this phone by using any other 'regular' charger?
Any charger should be safe, just make sure the cable you use has Pullup resistor of 56kΩ, without that 56k chip all kinds of stuff can go wrong. usb A to usb C is a really bad setup and you'll need that chip for protection..
Thanks castuis. Best thing I learned today This (and this thread w/charger links) is good to have.
So Which charger and cable are the best for the price? Original or something else. And where to buy with shiping to EU?

This is by far the best way to buy cables and chargers. You will learn way more than you ever wanted about USB accessories.
I bought the multi pack of Orzly cables , they are the best, relatively cheap... Sturdy.... And won't burn up your phone/house.

Right, but those links mostly focus on USB C standard, not QuickCharge 3.0, which I believe technically violates USB C standards. I'd still suggest sticking to cables confirmed to have the correct pull-up resistor, and if you want to use USB power delivery rather than QuickCharge technology you can also stick to chargers and power banks from that list. I think QuickCharge 2.0/3.0 will still charge faster than USB power delivery though, in which you probably won't find them on that list.
In any case, I bought an 1 port Aukey QuickCharge 3.0 car charger and it seems to work well to charge up to 4 amps. I also bought an Aukey 10000 mAh QuickCharge 2.0 power bank, and it too seems to charge my phone at up to 4 amps. Both were bought from Amazon Canada. I use them either with the cable that came with my phone or good micro USB cables and Tronsmart Micro USB to USB C adapters (which have the appropriate pull-up resistor.)
Guess we will hear more about this later with ppl with the proper equipment to test this, but i'm just gonna base this off the phone notification.
I'm getting the same estimated charge time using my 30w macbook charger, 60w monoprice usbpd charger, 18w usb-pd anker power bank, as a standard adaptive fast charger I have in the house (15w i think?).
Meanwhile the 25w brick that comes with the phone cuts the time by about 10min or so vs the other options above.
I did read about the 45w situation to be tricky, but this is the first time i've heard about the 25w charger being special in this way.
Would love to see more tests and see if there are 3rd party solutions that can get the full 25w speeds, and maybe the 45w ones.
hopefully its not a oneplus situation where you can only get the best stuff from their own first party chargers.

I was thinking about this. I tried the usb-c -usb-c cable that comes with the box on other chargers and sadly this didn't change anything.
Think you need the proper cable and proper PPS configs on the PD brick to get this working.

Yes you are correct. A special USB-C cable with an embedded chipset (E) is required along with special PPS. At this early stage I'm not certain many (if any) third party vendors meet these requirements. The only safe bet is the Samsung- branded one.
CONFIRMED !
i have a aftermarket 45w home charger and aftermarket 45w power bank.
both WONT charge at 45W, it charging like 15W.
when i plug in the stock 25w charger, it charging faster.
I have an Anker duel charger that has 45W USB C and a USB A. The USB C is rated at 45W and the USB A is rated at 15W. The 25W charges faster than the 45W. (at least what I am seeing)
Good info about the special cable. If we need a special cable... Where do we find it?
I do have to say, it charges fast with the 25W one.

Ill check mines when the phone comes later today.
But i do remember reading that it used a different voltage/amp set.
Which if the charger doesnt support it. Then it would default to the lower one.

If your charger is 5v 9v 12v 15v
But the phone needw 10v
It would default to the 9v.
Cant remember where i read this. But was a prerelease testing
The safe way to go is to use the samsung official chargers, that are precisely tuned for this, I would not risk a brand new somewhat expensive device
What is this telling me? phone says fast charging.
Using an Amazon Basics 60watt PD charger.

yeah the phone claims it is rated for 10V at 4.5A and most 45W chargers use 15V at 3A, so likely to be nothing on the market fully capable of charging at super speed at the moment.
as for the USB cable it is a subset of USB 3.1 Gen 2, basically you need a cable with a chip in it, that chip allows you to break the 3A limit on standard cables. I've ordered this as I wanted a longer cable for my standard charger and should work with the 45W if I get it down the road. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073RY5JZ3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now try this with the 25w charger in the box and you should notice shorter charge time remaining in the notification.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S2PCVGB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
the cables i listed are what I use now. I have a 1TB 12.9 ipad pro and picked up these cables to use with its fast pd charging.
this charger:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TC53ZYD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
is not PPS but it does have 9 Volt at 3amps. i tested it with one of my note 10s and the ipad from 10%. im using a 60W anker brick for the ipad:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BQJWDRM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the newer ravpower brick charged up much faster. again not pps (pdo) but it is fast in my less than scientific testing.
I'm just gonna use my $200 Samsung pre order credit to buy several oem or 45 watt chargers.

How? I ordered one on 8/27/19 and it's not expected to be delivered till 9/26/19. It went out of stock like a day after I ordered. It's not even showing available on Samsung.

You might want to check to make sure you actually got the 45w charger as it's been out of stock since about 8/28 - 8/29.

Did anyone find a good fast car charger?

Try any type from Anker. As long as it has qualcomm fast charging, it is fast enough. Only a couple minutes behind stock samsung charger.
I have advice for you.

Edit From My Post Below. As I looked more into this, my wall charger that came with my phone is just a small 25w box EP-TA800 which I don't understand why accubattery says its getting 5,000+ mAh from it but needless to say the baseus car charger below is able to supply the 25w means while my Anker charger doesn't https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-Charger...rger&qid=1575374418&smid=AREE309N4XPXI&sr=8-5 . It looks like I need a new cable to make this 45w thing to work, if it even works with baseus. but still better then the pixel 2 xl 16.3W charging speed. But even if one where able to achieve 45w charging speeds. It would only be good for the first %50 the rest cuts down in speed.
The Baseus 45W Quick Charge 4.0 3.0 USB Car Charger For iPhone Xiaomi mi Huawei QC4.0 QC3.0 QC PD 6A Fast Charging Car Phone Charger from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33020251902.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dO0uWdy "usb-c version" seems to be working good. Provides the full 5 Amps just like the one that came in the box with the phone. I even got the baseus red 2m usb-c cables. I'm not sure if its a fluke or if there any good at all.
I Do Not Know if it will be just as good but, I just ordered the cheaper version https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32970589225.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.a30b4c4d1oAVXd without the display usb-c version which I won't see for another two months due to shipping. Unless its being shipped by ePacket which only takes a week or two to get the item. Also got the same charger https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33042906407.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4d0fTcdC from a different vendor
I did however ordered the car charger originally for the oneplus 7 pro thinking it was going to charge that sucker up very fast but it didn't and i wasn't going to spend over 50 bucks for a car charger

I actually got it too from ebay and can confirm it works just like the original charger, I think it might be actually charging up to 45w.

It seems to achieve the 15 / 20 volts, I'll need to be on a 24 volt system. I'll have to wait has my battery on my phone is only 54%

The charger said 26.2V, 9.32V and, 2.75A and its able to support 15V at 3A and 20V at 2.25
Supplying 24V to the Baseus car charger, it only supplied 9.32V X 2.75A = 25.63Watts which is about the same just using 12V
My current cable only supports PD 2.0 60W, 3 Amps
The 100W cable says it can do PD 2.0 with Gen2 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/329...chweb0_0,searchweb201602_6,searchweb201603_52
Not all cables are the same. But i'm calling this as a good 25Watt charger with cable combo just untill it burns out
Its pretty crazy that Samsung chose the latest PD 3.0 variant with PPS, requiring the odd 10V at 4.5A. Clever heat management, but until now I came up empty finding the exact supporting charger other than the Samsung original who also seems to have its challenges. This article is pretty clear https://www.gsmarena.com/dont_just_..._for_the_samsung_galaxy_note10-news-38837.php
Not that I really would want such a fast charger to become my daily driver, fearing added wear on the battery, but for the rare occasion where I really need juice and do not have a powerbank handy, following if the community finds any solution.
