That date changed. Rumors. It is in the year 3000. Sadly, we will all only be energy then, the touch screen will not matter as much.

I called my local corporate store, I explained to her that I needed to get it before I go on my vacation (which is tomorrow) and also that I'd be a new customer.
She said she'd call me back in a half hour to let me know if she can sell me the phone. Here's hoping.

EDIT: Oh I forgot to mention, she said that she thought it was "officially" to be sold on Monday now, but it wasn't set in stone. Who knows TBH.
On the flip side if we all banned together and threatened to cancel service to buy it on another carrier I bet they would hand em out like hot cakes.

No because I and VZW know that none of us would cancel service.
December 15 is now the "official" new expected launch date. But hey, if you guys get it early, that'd be awesome...
Well, not at the store here. The girl did acknowledge its existence, but didn't know when it would come out. She also didn't know what the xyboard was, so there you go. I explained to her it was a Verizon exclusive tablet that cost too much. Good times at Big Red.

just spoke with mike at my local verizon wireless store in dc. i asked if he had any information on the galaxy nexus and he said that they were supposed to be selling them today, that they had them in the store, but that they are unable to do so because of a system issue with verizon. i asked him about this and he said that the phones are not appearing in the verizon internal system but that they are hoping to have this resolved by this afternoon. i asked him if this meant they would possibly be selling the phones this afternoon and he said that was correct. he took my name and number and said he'd call back if they could sell the phone (apparently, they already have a list of people who have called about the phone). if i get a call and the floodgates open i'll be sure to post.

i don't know. i just have a feeling we're close here. not sure why (especially given how much we've all been burned in the past with this device). it would also be tres bizarre to release a phone without an official announcement from the carrier. vz must really hate this device (prob because it isn't a droid).

What's the possibility there will be a gold option of the m8 for tmobile? Reason I ask is from what I can tell the gold one on other carriers are best buy exclusives. Best buy doesn't sell tmobile. Well at least here none does.

If you go to HTC website site it only shows 1 color for T-Mobile. So far it's accurate spot to look. If you want Gold you have to get the unlocked, AT&T, or Dev version.

anyone know of a way to get a "jump" early?
I am on month 3 of my new T_mo service, and I am on my 3rd(replaced twice with problems) lg Flex; I'd love to get a M8, but, i have 3 more months until I am "officially" eligible..
Anyone know of a way to get my jump early, or convince T-Mo to let me grab one? I have 3 lines in total, and really dont need another line..
Thanks!
There is none other than paying off your device and starting a new EIP(you will have to wait 3 months).

Maybe sell you Flex for a few hundred to pay off part of the EIP and pay the rest out your pocket.

You can go into a store, have them move you from JUMP! to JUMP! 2. The only difference between the 2 different programs is that JUMP! 2 requires you to pay off half the device to upgrade; which can be done at any time. No more 6 month waiting period. If you qualify for $0 down, you would be spending more money going that route, but if you like to upgrade all the time, it might be useful! I work for T-Mobile, that's how I know this info.

There is no 6 month waiting period. After the initial 6 months wait you don't have to wait.
The only difference between the two is
Old - 2 upgrades per year(not every 6 months), any amount owed is paid off
New - Upgrade any time a long as 50% is paid off.
I have already used 2 jumps already on one of my lines and I am about to do it again later today for the M8.

So, I am only 3 months into my "time" with T-mobile, and I have a LG Flex that I pay monthly on, with no money down.
I am in the "old" jump program.
What you are saying, is that I can take my Flex in, today, tell them to move me to "Jump 2", and trade it in for an M8, and I dont have to pay off anything on the Flex, and I can "start fresh" with an M8, with no money down? (I have great Credit)
Thanks

Did you already jumped the first time our if the flex your first device?
The only wait period is when you start jump.
Also when you do your second jump to the beginning of where you did the first jump.
For example I can't jump again until January next year for my two lines. My lines are stuck with the S5 and M8.

If your on the old jump program, then after using your 1st jump and say you are only a month in, yes you can use your 2nd one, however you won't be able to jump again for 11 months.
On the new jump, you can still apply this, however you have to have half the device paid off, unfortunately.

So i plan on ordering a Pixel XL paying the retail price from Bestbuy since they have them in stock http://www.bestbuy.com/site/google-pixel-xl-4g-lte-with-32gb-memory-cell-phone-slate-verizon/5656050.p?skuId=5656050 but i noticed it says Verizon. So my question is will the bootloader be unlocked or not?
Pretty sure it'll be locked then, it's best to just get it from the google store.

This subject is covered several times on the board.
Yes, the bootloader will be locked if purchased from Best Buy or Verizon.
its been confirmed from multiple places that Verizons model will have a locked bootloader. so if you care about custom roms or resale value get the model from the google store. There is always a possibility that someone will figure out an unlock for the Verizon model but i wouldnt count on it
It seems it's all speculation. Haven't seen/heard anything fact that it is indeed locked. But knowing how Verizon operates it will be.

As stated multiple times the Verizon nexus 6 was still able to be unlocked, it was identical to the Google store one, just with a Verizon emblem on it.
If it's like the nexus 6 with unlockable bootloader I'll be getting the 128 xl from Verizon and be returning the 32 xl to the Google store. I kinda regret not getting the larger storage. Hopefully we will see the unlockable status for a fact on Thursday.

I dont think anyone has gotten the verizon one but reports out there are that verizon pixels are being shipped from google.
$333 for trade in on a device I paid VZW $960 for send like a complete money grab. I'm not surprised, I don't need to just want it, adblock etc.
But that trade in is an insult, too my wallet. I think I'll wait and see if bootloader unlock becomes available.
Then but one bootloader unlocked from fleabay and keep this one for root purposes.
Phones arent investment's.
Should have sold a month prior to pixel 3 release. It's not a cash grab the phone is only worth 3-400 unless you find a sucker.
They depreciate after new version releases. But Google should give XDA members at least $400 trade-in!

Why? We are just a small slice of the Android Pie. If you were a major app developer, and made Google a chunk of change on ad revenue, then they might start to care lol
Probably because that's the minimum on Swappa but trade-ins are always less than what you can get by selling it yourself.
