LG G4 proximity sensor/call dialer problem - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought a LG G4(Marshmallow installed) today and I noticed a problem.
When I receive a call or dial one, my screen automatically turns off and pressing power button/double tapping the screen don't turn it on. It only turns itself on after the other person disconnects the call. As far as I know, the screen is supposed to turn off after I hold the phone on my ear and turn on after I take it away from my ear.

Force screen to dim when on a call?

Sometimes I am using the (front) speaker phone or the caller's voice is loud. In both cases I end up holding the phone away from my ear and the backlighting will not go off. Is there a way to force the backlight off during a call?
the proximity sensor isnt that impressive for me. it doesnt work on when its over your hair. i have a feeling it would be more impressive if i was bald.
I tried pushing the power button during a test call and it seemed to work to turn off the screen but not disconnect the call. Maybe that is all there is to it.

Screen unlocks itself during BT call

Having an annoying problem with my Gnex. When I place a call via Bluetooth in my truck, the screen turns on. It blows past the lock screen and shows the call screen. The proximity sensor is ignored and the screen stays on during the call unless you press the lock button. Terminating the call via BT leaves the phone in an unlocked state. This of course causes all kind of erroneous button presses while the phone is in my pocket.
I was just searching for this exact problem and this is the only thread I have found so far.
Did you find a solution at all?

while on call proximity sensor does not work properly?

LG G4 international version.
Any one experiencing while you move the phone to your ear during a call, the screen goes off. But when you remove phone from ear the screen will not come back on. I have tired double tapping screen, using volume keys to activate the screen on again.
Is there a work around or anyone else having this problem?
Thanks
I think it was the glass screen protector, covering the sensor. I will try another one that has the cut out. But after removing the protector it is fine again.
My Verizon version seems to act up about half the time by not turning back on when I pull the phone down. My phone is naked so there's nothing that should be interfering.
Same here. No screen protector.
I had that happen once but it turned out that I had a notification that was causing the issue. When I started the call all was fine but during the call the notification arrived and the screen would not come back on until I pressed the power button. Then I could see the notification and dismiss it and all went back to normal

Phone Call Problem!

My RN5P(IND),suffers from a problem that annoys me.
When I make calls or receive calls, the screen automatically shuts down and it wont turn back on again, even if you tap the screen, press the buttons present on the phone. You cant cut the call either. It happens 40% most of the time. Then after a moment only the screen lightens up.
What do I do and do others experience this?

May be it's due to a problem in Proximity sensor.

Screen not dimming during Speaker calls

Hi Guys,
Having this weird issue where after updating to MIUI 12.5 version.
During a call on the speakerphone, the display will dim, but won't go off completely. If I manually put off the display pressing the power button, the screen still refuses to go off & instantly comes on.
However, if I go out or minimise the CALL app (when the call is on) and then press the power button, the display goes off completely.
Any help here guys
