[Q] Just upgraded Bell Canada Xperia ZL to 4.4.4 and lost root.

Boot loader is locked. I've used Towelroot to root 4.4.2 but it's not working with the latest firmware 4.4.4.
Am I out of luck?
Thanks

Using the Canadian d852 LG G3, I'm getting a "(780) fastboot mode" error on boot. Luckily, I had a backup, but can't figure out how to get this to work. I am using Cloudy G3 1.2 rom and flashed the d852 variant.

I am not sure but you can try "stump root" in a few minutes without knowledge or risks.

Here you go
http://www.mediafire.com/download/x6532xvt6x44m26/D852-KK-stock-oversharpening-off.zip
first take a backup of your boot partition, just to be safe. Then you can restore only that if something goes wrong.
And take care to flash this file ( the other has the same name)

Well if you are on lollipop I don't think there is fastboot option in power settings. I only had it on KitKat and don't have it once I updated to lollipop on my 816. Have you tried going to the htc Dev website and followed the steps on how to unlock the boot loader. You need to have it unlocked before you can root it.

you should determine your exact device variant first. there are many flavors of 816, and their os are incompatible.

Word, i said try this, I did not say it would work. It's just a root exploit, it's not like its going to kill your phone Amigo. If it works it works, If it doesn't, well search for something else. The same root that i used for jellybean, I
used for KitKat. The choice is yours! I cannot confirm it simply because i do not own that device. Simply trying
to help Amigo!
