A new Costum Firmware is Online

Hey, who already did update with this? Via OTA? I'm so awaiting thiiiiis
Flashed this morning..
Based on the last OTA from what I can see.
Dolby Atmos installed and seems to be working
Xposed still doesn't work
Posted root method for stock rom is working still
Dirty flash from stock breaks Play Store, so need to do a clean wipe
If i'm honest, no real visible improvements, still the same benchmark scores...
This phone is still..massively underwhelming considering the hardware...

I diffed this one against an official one and no surprise, the only differences are Dolby Atmos and that the ROM "dev" has spammed the build.prop file with outdated and mostly useless tweaks.
y test the rom, no issues everything is OK for the moment. thanks
Ps: for root this rom ???
On witch rom stock is it based ?
Hello, has anyone who flashed the rom had the problem that he can't receive calls at 4g?

Hey all,
Here's a custom ROM based on XWJV1 with a focus on speed and stability. Nothing too special; it's just a stock, unthemed, deodexed, optimized Gingerbread BETA ROM with some minor modifications.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a BETA ROM running on a BETA KERNEL, so I don't recommend installing this ROM if you're afraid of breaking your device / don't know how to use ADB / get upset when your phone crashes. This ROM is smooth, sleek, and looks damn good too, however, again, this is a BETA ROM, so there are going to be bugs on any ROM based on JV1. Don't complain.
Features:
Voodoo Gingerbread Beta Kernel
Based on Stock Gingerbread Beta XWJV1
Fully deodexed and zipaligned
Fixed build.prop, permissions for launch_GPS, as well as many other minor file tweaks
Removed Samsung Bloatware
Removed Startup + Shutdown sounds
Fully updated Google Apps + Swype
Gingerbread screen-off animation (Very cool. )
Removed Apps:
-Allshare, Press Reader, Aldiko eBook, Buddies Now, Layar, Mini Diary, Write and Go
Added apps:
-Launcher Pro, Gingerbread Launcher, Gingerbread Keyboard
Download: http://www.multiupload.com/YFJTDTFVD0
Installation Instructions:
Flash from CWM after disabling all lagfixes. If you don't know how to install a ROM you shouldn't be using this one.
Have you got the new tweak by nickadeamus or whatever his name is?
Hi.
Just downloading will give a try.

any screenshots please?
Just for the record, I bricked my i9000 GT. The bootloader gets messed up and I am now downloading a complete ROM to flash from heimdall.

Don't scare everyone man, your bootloaders are fine, your /system got corrupted resulting in a bootloop.
Corrupted bootloaders would mean either complete brick, or no 3BR
hi seearms just downloaded rom and installed jl2 modem everything fine so far, but time will tell. i was on ultibread when i came to yours so it was an easy transfer
Switched from a fresh stock 2.2, strangely i got the glitched screen when trying to enter recovery. Any suggestions? I see advice to flash boot.bin but I've not flashed JV1 prior to this so it can't be a bootloader problem.
Thanks.
Just wondering can this be installed from cwm if your current rom is froyo?
Ready to Test Drive
Really Eager to Try this ROM
Downloading now...

To install ultibread I flashed jv1 via odin, then unchecked auto reboot and flashed a hardcore kernel pulled the battery, rebooted into CWM and flashed ultibread as a zip from the sdcard . Should be the same procedure here, good luck!
I've been running your rom since yesterday and so far it's great with the JL2 modem. Highly recommended thus far...stable and fast like u said and even faster after enabling lagfix

Flash JV1 via Odin first, I believe it's the secondary boot loader in non-JV1 ROMs which causes screen tearing in recovery.

Good job seeARMS! I am going to wait a bit for and update before I jump in to this one as my i9000m is running so bloody fast on Darky's Extreme v9.3 that I don't want to mess with it. hahaha
I am going to try it though. I support you and your roms.

Technically Nikadeamus said that it "may" work on GB but hasn't tested it.
EDIT: Some users with JV1 claimed to have noticed only a slight improvement if any at all. However, it may just be plain old placebo at work.
This is my device at this point:
1. Rooted 4.4.2
2. Stock T-Mobile ROM
3. I can flash SinLess ROM v2.1.2 with no issues after reboot
ANY Aroma ROM I try to flash (for example, DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6), after reboot after installing results in a bootloop at the Samsung screen.
Are NONE of the Aroma ROMs not working on the T-Mobile Note 3?
I would really like to flash the DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6 but can't if I can't get past the Samsung screen on a bootloop.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Darthstalker is a 4.3 base ROM. It won't work on a 4.4 bootloader, which is what you have if you took the OTA or flashed the Odin 4.4 package. It's not Aroma, it's just that most of the Aroma installer ROMs haven't been updated to 4.4 yet. And Samsung made the bootloader incompatible, so once you are on 4.4, you can't boot a 4.3 ROM.
Same with recovery. Make sure you flash 4.4 bootloader versions of TWRP/CWM or it won't boot.
so what IS a 4.4.2 with Aroma and NOT AOSP?

Thank you for the insight, I was seriously under the (wrong) impression that DeathStalker was a 4.4.2 ROM. I really didn't know.
IS there a list of 4.4.2 stock rooted ROMs with Aroma? You wrote "most of the Aroma installers haven't been updated to 4.4 yet." Which have? It's very confusing because honestly, i was looking and didn't see that DeathStalker was a 4.3 ROM. I went back and looked and noticed a bunch of JB stuff in the list of enhancements which gave it away.
Well, if anyone can suggest a good stable 4.4.2 ROM with Aroma and not AOSP, I want to keep the SPEN functionality that is still missing in CM. Although I do LOVE CM. Used it religiously on my S3.
thank you in advance.
I honestly don't know of any that have. Any reason you want an Aroma installer? It's not like you see it after the install is done. Most modded stock ROMs will list the "base" ROM they started from in the OP. Check that, and if it's a 4.4 base, it will likely work fine on your 4.4 bootloader phone. There's going to be a bit of a rough patch for a while as the ROMs get updated and users get updated. You just have to read up on each one to verify before installing. Just do a thread search for "bootloader" or "4.4" and read some of the posts. Chances are, it's been asked and answered in the thread if you look.
I'm just running a rooted stock build without Knox/CIQ, the stock ZIP that teshxx posted in the dev forum. Then just used Titanium Backup to un-install any bloatware I didn't want. Add a few Xposed modules, and it's a quite good ROM.
If you like CM, the SPEN does work. It acts a bit like a mouse. It's the built-in apps that don't work. You can replace the functionality of many of them. But if you really like some of them, that's not a great option. I ran CM/AOSP builds for a while, but decided the stability of a stock ROM was more important to me right now. I'll probably be back on CM after a while. I like the speed boost from the slimmer ROM.
Awesome reply

What a thoughtful and excellent reply. Thank you very much. I'm looking at MyROM Revolution and may download that.
Honestly, I wanted Aroma because it seemed so much more customizable upon installation rather than taking the vision that a dev had for the ROM they created. I may well be wrong and thank you for the update on CM and SPEN, good to know. I just didn't check out the official CM thread as I had heard no SPEN support yet.
I'm running Sinless ROM and while good, it has a certain non-customizable feel to it. Just looking for something lighter, just not as light until everything is stable of CM.
thank you and if anyone has any suggestions for any 4.4.2 ROMs with (or without) Aroma please pass them on.
Is there a list of 4.4.2 ROMs that are compatible?

A few questions:
1. Where is the international forum for the Note 3?
2. Where can I find a link to the X-NOTE ROM? (I searched at the top-level of T-Mobile Note 3 forums and found nothing in results)
**UPDATE: IS THIS THE FORUM? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301
3. Is the international X-NOTE ROM compatible with the T-Mobile device and if so, what is lost/not working in the international version that exists in the T-Mobile version?
thanks in advance.

It's that one. N look at there questions&answers thread has how to flash it basically download wifi nfc blue tooth fix and wootevers kernel. Wipe of course. Flash rom(CSC is default and also choose NO kernel) one done go on and flash wootevers kernel then the wifi fix. Zip should be a go I did it reverse and wifi was bad flashed it again all gravy
---------- Post added at 08:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:39 PM ----------
Oh also the side effect I had. It deleted everything in my internal so make sure you put the kernel and wifi fix on ext SD so you'll hace it available. You'll eventually get your pictures back and music too but not 3rd downloads from the net or apps like wallpapers of screen shots. Be aware
needrom . com has the rom. im not allowed to post links so yeah. but i am installing it now. i will keep everyone updated on how it goes.
Official Lollipop 5.1

Nice. Tried LL (spanish mod) and so far so good.
I am running the Beta3 Version (including TWRP) and had to flash it 3 times until everything worked.
Its crazy sometimes, but after the first installation the internnal memory was not working.
After i did the same thing again. The internal memory was working but the bluetooth stopped working.
Now, after flashing it the 3rd time everythings seems to work fine.
Its important to have twrp because you need to flash the rooting zips and gapps.
but it works nice no further issues so far. ( I have a S3S)

Hey guys. So, I am a little frustrated with the ROMs available. I am hoping that you guys can help me. Right now I am on Emotion ROM. Great ROM. Love the way the UI looks. But I have been having too many problems and at this point I am ready to just flash the most basic ROM out there. I love customization as anyone does. But I also like stability. What would you guys suggest I flash? Customization and stability is important. But like I said worst case scenario I will flash the most basic stable rom if I have too. Suggestions?
MOAR is very customizable and very stable. But you have to follow the directions in the 1st post precisely otherwise you'll run into issues.
I heard that MOAR was being updated as well.
I had MOAR 2.1b , now running Dr.ketan's S7 rom. Major improvement. My note 4 has never been this fast/stable.not a single FC or crash.everything works.battery life has never been better.MM is something else in terms of fluidity.would highly recommend Dr.ketan's S7 rom.

I think I'll wait for that ROM to get a little more popular. Would it matter if I downloaded a stock rom with a bad ass kernel?
I believe you can use his kernel on stock ROMS
I was never able to get text messages working even with APN fix.... Sux BC it's an awesome ROM.

If you're talking about dr. Ketans rom. I had no issues with the texting incoming or outgoing. I belive i was prompted to install a mandatory patch for the rom soon after it booted up the first time. Mabye that fixed it? Or mabye i just didnt face the problem because im using it on a GSM network.

Right now I am on just a stock rom. Makes me happy because everything is working with no problems. I have a FitBit so bluetooth is very important to me. Can someone recommend a kernel for stock rom or a stable rom that works with Bluetooth.

There is no N rom for this phone with battery life or stability even close to any stock KK or LP rom. All ROMs after LP are experimental and buggy to some degree. Also, since there is no official stock rom after LP, anything else would require a computer to unlock bl.
I would suggest flashing the MX ROM as far as I know this is the LP with best battery life now. It can be installed on locked bootloader and is as stable as stock LP.

Thanks for ur suggestion. Yes i know mx rom. Been reading the forum for a litle while. Worth to try
And not to forget that there are no security patches for stock LP since.... a long time. That is why a lot are using new roms although the battery life is not so great in comparison to stock roms.
Guys forget about MX rom! There is new ROM by munjeni out there. It is based on Lineage OS 14.1. It has decent battery life, good camera (almost like on stock), great stability, all security patches and is smooth like butter.

yes, that rom from munjeni also looks the best for me. When I have time I will upgrade fom to Jaguar ROM to that one.
If you have stock KITKAT you CAN'T flash 5.1 or newer roms via recovery.
This is because from android L the partition scheme is changed, so you MUST use flashtool to flash first the stock LP ROM.
If you flash a LP rom via dual recovery in kitkat you'll brick your phone!
And I'm surprised that no one said it to you.
Once you flashed stock LP, rooted, installed REAL RECOVERY and unlocked bootloader, you can install any custom ROM.
If you don't unlock your bootloader you can flash ONLY STOCK BASED rom.
Cheers, and good luck. (I hope you didn't brick you phone)
