Stock 6.0.1 Kernel - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

Has the kernel been extracted from the 6.0.1 OTA? If we can at least have this, we can flash some international or note5 roms.

How do you do that? I have the tar file, I'd gladly extract it and post it. Hoping @arter97 can make a customer kernel for t-mobile variant with TWRP to root and install other roms!

The file you have posted is listed as N920T 6.0 MM kernel, I supposed that is from T-Mobile Note 5, it works for S6 edge+ or was it just a simple wrong upload? Thanks!

I see its a zip file. Do we just flash in recovery or do we unzip and flash in odin?

So i flashed MM via ODIN 2 times now and both times it gets to the t-mobile logo and sits there. i have left it for 30+ minutes both times.
Backstory:
I have been running a t-mobile based 5.1.1 ROM for 5-6 months
All files I got from mrjunkys androidfilehost.
I downloaded ODIN https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347810352
downloaded the ODIN MM ROM https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762636004597
rebooted into download mode directly from my running 5.1.1 ROM
flashed the md5, device auto-rebooted
stuck at t-mobile logo
booted back into download via pwr+home+volume down
flashed again
stuck at t-mobile logo
EDIT:
I flashed TWRP via ODIN, connected USB to computer and noticed all my files still there
I just did another ODIN stock flash but chose "NAND Erase All" this time so i suspect it will work now.

You really didn't need to go thru all that trouble as well as loosing all your apps.
I would suggest that you go to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...ting-marshmallow-n920tuvudpd1-update-t3361990
There you will find all the information you need and an easy step by step guide.
The above thread is in the Tmobile Note 5 forum but all the information there is
applies for both the N920T Note 5 and the G928T S6 Edge+ phone except for
the firmware's filename and download link.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

Hi everyone!
My gf's GS3 is running CM11 but she runs across various issues in every custom ROM I flash onto her phone so I decided I should just flash stock 4.4.2. I have heard that in mobile Odin I should make sure that the modem or bootloader does not downgrade. I remember that I did flash the I747MVLUEMK5 bootloader and the I747MUMUEND3 modem. Is it safe to say that I can use mobile odin to flash stock 4.4.2 as well as the bootloader and modem without having the fear that it will downgrade one of those? I am thinking this because I flashed those files BEFORE kitkat was released, which has to mean that the 4.4.2 bootloader and modem are newer. Sorry if I'm not clear or that I repeat myself a lot I just try to spit all the information I have because the last thing I'd want is a bricked device.
Thanks Everyone!!!!
Only flash 4.4.2 with mobile odin if you have already fully updated to 4.4.2! It is not capable of flashing mist of the base firmware, including the bootloader. But it does flash the modem, and if you get a 4.4.2 modem on 4.3 firmware/bootloaders,...permanent brick!

What if I don't use mobile odin? By using regular odin can I just ignore all of this and flash 4.4.2? Can PC Odin flash the base firmware and bootloader?
Yes regular Odin will flash everything. After that it'll be safe to use mobile Odin.

[Q] Lollipop ---> IMEI null

Ok, A long story:
Whenever I try to flash a lollipop ROM I get an unknown IMEI..
I solve this by flashing a stock 4.4.2 (I get the right IMEI but not registered in network) I solve this by flashing a patched modem and everything is fine..
But when I try to flash a lollipop ROM I still get an unknown IMEI again..
Also, I have efs backup, When I restore efs, Nothing happen.. IMEI is still unknown..
So, I want to try lollipop ROMs (like, ValidusLP ROM for example).. How to solve this problem?? Is there like a patched modem for lillipop??
Thanks in advance for anyone who will try to help.
Try some other lollipop ROM and see if issue solves

Tried both TWRP and Philiz touch recoveries, Both latest versions...
I flash the recovery using ODIN, Then flash the ROM using the recovery.
Exactly the same issue.
1) Was on stock Kit Kat 4.4.2 2 days back. Connected to Kies and got the update for Lollipop.Update the phone in few hours but no IMEI,nothing.
2)Downloaded the latest Stock Lollipop from SamMobile and flashed this using Odin and same issue.
3) Flashed the Kit Kat 4.4.2 and everything is fine with modem restored and IMEI visible.
4) Downloaded using OTA on stock 4..4.2 still same issue and IMEI blanks out.
I am sure there is some problem with this Update and waiting for a stable version.

On another note : Lollipop looks gorgeous though and has a good interface. Want to stick to stock as heavily use Spen features.
Please let me know if there is a modem that could be flashed with Odin to Stock lollipop ROM ? Else will have to go back to Kit Kat.
Thanks

I already went back to 4.4.2
Ok fixed this issue.
Just download the previous ROM for Kitkat for your region model. Extract the Tar file and then what ever is the extracted file again open it using WinRar. Get the modem.bin out of it.
Once you have loaded lollipop: Open Odin again and flash the modem.bin from previous rom using Odin. Got to work for india .
Yey I am on lollipop.

[Solved] Stuck at Samsung screen after flashing root image

So I wanted go back to stock rom from 5.1.1 (DU). I downloaded the 4.4.2 rooted image from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55683994&postcount=2225
I used odin and flash the file
now my phone is stuck on samsung screen for 10 minutes.
I can still access the recovery (stock) and download mode. What can I do to fix this?

What bootloader and modem was your device on before trying to flash that file from mrRobinson?
I take it you have an i747M since that link is for the NF2 Rogers firmware, true?

I have frequently seen people report the same experience as you when going from 5.x.x back to stock.
I have read two solutions:
1) Flash a stock recovery and do a factory reset from there. enewman17 has download available in the OP of several threads; stock NE4, NJ1, and NJ2.
2) OR before flashing the stock rom, in addition to doing the standard wipes from the custom recovery you format the internal sdcard.

Going back to stock

I'm going to flash my phone back to 100% stock, I'm on renegade OJ7(aroma) and wanted to know what firmware I would be flashing as my phone is popping up as OH1. Which stock firmware should I be choosing?

Right, the latest firmware is OL1...until they release marshmallow.
Thanks guys, got my phone back to 100% stock OL1
Just for the sake of assurance, given I am not stupendously familiar with Odin yet, we set the stock tar file name in AP and flash, correct? (First samsumg for me).
