Screen and phone size is exactly the same as........ - HTC Butterfly 3

A Desire Eye!
My Son has one so I've checked them against each other and they're exactly the same.
I've just ordered some Eye screen protectors which cost a fraction of the price of the B3 version and I was able to get them from the UK (£2.76 for three tempered glass) so I get them in a couple of days rather than wait a few weeks if I ordered from China
The Eye doesn't have a curved back but the cases still fit ours. The buttons line up perfectly although the Eye has an extra (dedicated camera) button on the bottom right. Needs a bit of modding for the USB, IR and camera, flash and secondary mic to be used and you'll be left with a hole where the EYE's mic and camera should be.
Handy tip if you're stuck for a case (like me), have to order one from Asia (like me, at least I think it's there) and drop your phone a lot (like me)

Case is a YAY!!! Really good fit and very smart but not as protective as the rubber bomb proof ones I'm used to..
Screen guard is about 2mm too long so covers the top speaker slightly. Waiting for China to deliver

Stenheil SGP Ultra Crystal thoughts

So I have gone through quite a few screen protectors, as I am on a family plan with 3 of my friends, all of which have Evos. Being the one to get all of them on these phones, I naturally went ahead and got the screen protectors for all of us. All the ones I have used before today have been the cheap kind, albeit from different sources. In a rush to collect my $25 from AMEX for small business Saturday, I hastily bought some screen protectors online on new years eve (turns out it had to be a local small business, so I won't be getting any money from AMEX).
So I bought a Steinheil Ultra Crystal pack, a Steinheil Anti Fingerprint pack, and a 3 pack of handhelditem.com generic clears.
Installation was quite easy for me, as I had practice installing cheapies on three phones, which can sometimes be hard due to bad cutouts. The Ultra Crystal is cut a bit small to the screen, leaving about a half millimeter all the way around. I'm used to laying these down so you don't have any bubbles, although there was a small bubble by my buttons due to lint underneath. The included sticker "lint removers" were great because they had strong enough adhesive to easily pull up the screen protector from the corner, although I'm sure some tape would have done the same thing. Pulled out the lint, relaid the bottom quarter, and everything was perfect.
The last screen protectors I had been using I bought from an Ebay vendor, and they were quite cheap, something like $1.35 each. Holding one next to the Ultra Crystal, you can tell the Steinheil is slightly thicker, and the cutout for the top was different (the ebay ones were cut in a rectangle shape up top as to not cover the camera/sensors, the Steinheil covers all of these).
Clarity wise, I can barely tell the difference. I am inclined to say the ebay one had the tiniest bit more white hue to it, but I'm not even so sure that is the case. All the cheap clear protectors I have used have had excellent clarity, in a way that no one can tell you are using a screen protector and the screen looks brilliant.
So really, what are you getting? People swear by Steinheil, and looking at the anti-fingerprint one I can see why. The AF one looks a lot better than the cheap AF ones, but the cheap AF protectors are pretty much unusable for me.
You do get a nicer cutout, but no one noticed with the last ones I had anyways. The ebay one was cut closer to the side edges and the top/bottom, and the edge never bothered me, so I'd say the fit was better in those respects. I've had the DC Mugen ones, which were an identical fit to the Steinheil up top, but were cut short of the soft buttons on the bottom. I have a feeling the handhelditem.com ones will be almost the same cutout if not closer to the outside edges. I'll wait to see when I get them, they shipped those separately to me.
So do I recommend it? Well, only if the cutout is particularly important to you. They do come in nicer packaging, the included microfiber cloth is bigger then some of the ones I've gotten with other protectors, not to mention the ebay purchase which came with cloths that almost feel like wax paper.
A little time and I'll know if this protector is more scratch resistant than the others I've had, but most of those held up pretty well so it's tough to say that will happen.
I don't see why you wouldn't want to save the money and get the cheap ones. I got 5 for $7.50, shipped, handheld items charged me 6 dollars for shipping alone. Five protectors means you can always replace yours when any scratches on it actually bother you, and you get plenty of tries if you mess up install.
I'm debating whether I should try out the Anti-Fingerprint ones or just try to sell them, they do look quality and holding them up to my phone/monitor makes for a reasonable tradeoff between clarity and glare, and that's with a protective film on it.
For reference, I bought the ones off ebay from seller spshop88, here's a recent auction he put up here, they're quite cheap now:
http://cgi.ebay.com/5x-Clear-LCD-Sc...189206?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item43a3febb96
Note, these do have a rectangular cutout for the top that leaves your camera and sensors exposed.
I've tried all those $25 protectors like zagg and invisible shield. I ended up trying GTMax off Amazon and there great. Three for $7 shipped. They feel like the original bare screen and crystal clear. Very nice coverage. It fits absolutely perfect. Here's the link if you want to try them out.

Screen Protector with correct hole cut-outs

Hi i just wanted to ask if there is a single screen protector out there that has the correct hole cut-outs for the front camera proximity sensors led notification light and the home button. i found one but they changed the design to a ****ty crappy one.
here is something that i want, look at the hole cut-outs, perfection:
http://gyazo.com/16d22e71558d640d2e258bd1800c094b
this was sold by www.amzer.co.uk but when they sent the product out they gave me this one and said it was too hard for them to design and make the correct cut outs. and this is what i got:
http://www.amzer.co.uk/Amzer-Anti-Glare-Screen-Protector-with-Cleaning-Cloth-P93960.htm
it looks bang on like this. now i ask you, which one would you go for. i would go for the first one but there seems to be none out there being sold. i told them that if they sold the initial design they would be selling like hotcakes.
You probably won't find a "dry" protector with the cout outs you are looking for and if ever you did, you will be very disappointed with the result as the edges will not stick to the screen. The curved edges of the screen make it almost impossible. There are protectors you have to apply wet with the kind of cut outs you wan't but they tend to feel horrible.
I ordered protectors weeks before the S3 got released they have the cut outs you show on your screenshot but they don't fit at all they don't stick on the edges which is causing dust and dirt to collect under the protector. It looks very ugly if you own the white version.

Monoprice Screen Protector

Does anyone have one? or used one? If you did are they any good?
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10833&cs_id=1083306&p_id=9239&seq=1&format=2
Haven't tried it, but it looks decent -- maybe you could find one on eBay for cheaper?
No doubt eBay has some cheaper, but since I was placing a monoprice order anyway, I grabbed a couple of the clear ones (not matte) for short-term disposable use as needed.
They're decent screen protectors (dry application, go on super easy w/o bubbles, stay in place, etc.), but they definitely don't extend all the way to the edge of the glass. If precisely centered, there's probably a 2mm gap around the side edges, with a little more (3-4mm) at the top and bottom. Three "dips" are cut at the top so that the protector doesn't cover the front camera, light sensor, or speaker.
Just to be safe, I used one on vacation 2wks ago with a TPU cover and was happy with the protection it gave. It was easy to clean and most of the time I didn't even know it was there. As soon as I got home, I pulled it (and the TPU cover) off and can confirm that there was no residue left behind.
As I typically use my phones "naked", this isn't the best review as I've very little experience with other screen protectors for comparison purposes. However, I can confirm that the monoprice protector was leaps and bounds better than the OtterBox screen protector I recently installed on a Photon Q (although, as I understand it, that isn't saying much).
Hope that helps!

[REVIEW][PICS] Cheap Slim Hard Case

I picked up a white one of these:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/For-LG-G.../221311296509?ssPageName=ADME:L:eek:C:AU:3160
It has a matte translucent finish, and the case is hard, not TPU. I prefer translucent to clear as it doesn't show all the dust and crap that inevitably builds between the phone and the case. It fits perfectly and the buttons are easily accessible. I like that you can still see the rear logo and the case isn't physically obtrusive at all. The gap between screen and front bezel is just over 1mm. Worth the buy, especially for $5. I dropped it 20 minutes ago on a tile floor from about 1m up, no physical change. Can't tell if it landed on a front or back corner as there are no marks. Paid for itself 100 times over.

I have had one of these for a bit over a week and it's cracking all over the place where I tend to hold my phone. Not from drops, just the stress of holding the phone. :-/

I ordered a quicksand case from the same seller so it's good to know you got your case. How long did the shipping take I wonder?

Mine's flexible enough not to crack, even if I try to flex it, even at the corners. It fits nicely and isn't stretching to hold the phone at all. You might have a different model?

Hey did you use the screen protector that came along with it?
Thanks for the detailed pictures. I ordered the white one, too, based on the excellent details you provided here.
Cheers
Thanks for the review. There are also some very similar cases made by Bear Motion on Amazon, might even be same case? idk here for matte smooth and here for sand

A nice case I found for our devices...

Hi all,
I purchased one of these, a red one, a few days ago for my Le Max 2, and thought some of you might like it.
It fits great, although I did have to shave a millimeter off of the USB-C area so that the CDLA jack would slide in properly.
I'm posting a store link to it here. However, I'm not the seller nor am I an affiliate. So I'm not getting paid to promote it.
Kind regards,
Bill...

I bought the black "textured" of the same case, works great. Super slim, slight edge so screen doesn't touch on face down, lip around camera lens , cheap.
Its really the perfect case.

Yeah, I quite like it also. And the price is very reasonable... :good:
Yes, this is one of the best cases for this phone. I had one for about 8-9 months. I used the gold one, it matches somehow with the rose gold color of the phone so it won't look that girlish with the case. The rubber starts to peel off slightly at the edges after about 4-5 months, depending on usage (I always slide it in my jeans pocket). After about 6 months some cracks start to appear at the corners where the case is cut. It performs very well though. Because I was happy with it, I ordered 2 more of the same, but I found them a bit cheaper.
Now I'm using a skin which looks like this: Wire Drawing membrane Skins Protective Film Wrap Skin Cellphone full body Protective Sticker For LeEco Letv Le 2 2Pro/Le Max 2
http://s.aliexpress.com/vyIrQFrm
(from AliExpress Android)
The parts that stick on the screen are useless because I use a tempered glass and they come over the edges. On top of this I have the original transparent case from LeEco to protect the skin. I'm not sure how long would the glue last on the sides without the case. The chamfered edges remain uncovered though.

I anticipate that it will wear a bit eventually. However, for the price, I'm very satisfied with it...
