HTC One M9 - Frozen on boot screen - Verizon HTC One (M9)

I recently plugged my M9 into my computer to run the repair assistant in HTC sync... Well, for some reason the repair failed, and now my phone won't boot. I have tried running the repair numerous times since to see if it would fix itself, but to no avail. I've also cleared the cache in recovery mode, as well as factory reset from recovery mode. Still won't boot past white screen with HTC logo.
Any thoughts? I'd rather not have to send it in for repairs...
For the record, I did the repair initially in the hopes of it fixing what might be draining my battery. I've been searching frantically lately trying to figure out what is draining my battery, again, to no avail. Perhaps it was stupid to think this would help... but I also don't know how it screwed things up.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
It's a Verizon branded phone, no root.

I have the same issue as above, when it boots up just stuck at Verizon logo for more than an hour. Please show us the steps how to get out of the boot loop.
Thanks!
update: I just downloaded the stock rom and flash from SD card and it works.

I ended up getting it replaced.
I have an M9 now that has 5.1 Lollipop. Do you know if the Verizon version can be rooted?
My sister has an M7 with 5.1 and was wondering if that was also rootable?

Simply update the os. Download sunshine and run it? Do not install supersu app before hand or try any other root method.

That is exactly what I did with the other phone and it didn't work.
Installed sunshine. Ran it. Said it had to establish temp root, ran the process, shut down the phone, restarted and then nothing. Went back into Sunshine and it just restarted the process. Never got anywhere.

My phone got a "Tampered""Unlocked" :(

HI,
I got a "Tampered""Unlocked" after trying to get into recovery. How do I get ride of the "tampered" flag? Now I can't get to recovery mode, never did on this phone after unlock from the official website. I'm new to Andriod. Can anyone help? Many thanks!
Have you flashed the cwm recovery? I don't know much about tampered flag as I never saw or heard about it. Just try to relock and after do the entire process again, see if it solves your issue.

Firewater S-OFF not working

Hey guys! For whatever reason, whenever I try to S-OFF my HTC One M8 using Firewater, I don't get the Yes/No prompt. No idea why and have spent 2 hours trying to fix/research solutions. I'd really like S-OFF. I have a Canadian TELUS model. Yes, ADB is configured properly.

Make sure you download latest from the site. If it gives you whelp message, you're out of luck.
If it's just not connecting try another PC, Virtual Machine or Linux Live CD.

Using latest version from the Firewater site.
It is connecting, i am getting the same thing as the OP's image. so pc is talking to phone but file just wont launch anything.
at the moment i have a bigger problem, i accidently deleted my OS while trying to get firewater working so I dont have a rom now..
trying to work that one out first.
SOLVED
For anybody having this same issue, it turns out the version of the file is incorrect.
how can this be?
Well it turns out my ISP (Optus Australia) was caching the file and it was the wrong version.
After working with the firewater dev Beaups we worked out the file had the wrong md5 checksum.
to get around this, try download it using mobile data or another network.
Once i got the same file through another link (bypassing ISP cache) it worked as expected.
Hope that helps somebody.

[Q] Verizon HTC One upgrade path for those not on verizon

A couple of months ago I asked if there was an upgrade path to the latest update for a non rooted completely stock Verizon HTC One. The phone belongs to my mom who uses it on Ultra Mobile. Is there anyway to upgrade it to Kitkat. Right not it's on 4.2 Jellybean.

Sure there is. Manually download the otapkg.zip and copy it to the phone. Reboot into stock recovery and chose apply update from phone storage.

Trying to do that. When I boot into recovery I get unable to access sd card for about 5 times and then it finally boots into recovery. When attempting to select apply from phone storage it states invalid operation and reboots the phone. Any suggestions?

Well, this method used to work.
It may be that s-off is required to accomplish this now.
I can't really say for sure, as I haven't had a device that stayed s-on for more then a few days at most.
Wish I had a better answer for you.

Thanks for trying anyways. Greatly appreciated. I guess my mom will stay on 4.2.2 for the foreseeable future.
Just updating for any future users who may come across the thread. The solution to my initial issue is as follows:
For those not on Verizon you can still update by using HTC sync. After installing HTC Sync and connecting your phone, it will prompt you for an available upgrade. Follow the onscreen instructions and the phone will be updated to whatever the latest update is.

As long as you are stock I might add. If it reads a custom Rom you won't get offered an update. And btw, what the app knows HTC knows ?

So HTC knew I went from 4.x.x.x (while unlocked and s-off with root) down to 2.x.x.x to update to the newest through the app before going s-off and they took my phone to swap out. Cracked screen replacement. Sometimes they know but don't check.

You can download them to your SD card and reboot to recovery and apply them..
I've got a straight talk sim card, so I know how you feel. Just keep checking Kies.

There isn't root for the retail version and you don't need root to flash it..
Just clear cache between flashing part 1 and 2 and you should be fine

Did you flash the latest twrp? We're u able to factory reset?

I got twrp on there yes but i thihk i messed up in getting super su on there as right now it just sits at the white boot up screen.
I think i may have factory resetted it after trying to get super su on there i believe thats why its messed up. Really hoping to be able to fix it as i spent the 25$ bucks to get the bootloader unlocked and to get it s-offed with the sunshine app.
http://trendblog.net/fix-soft-bricked-android-device-first-aid-guide/ I am not an expert but I have been in your situation before. What you need to so is flash a working Rom of your Android system. Does your computer recognize the phone when it is plugged in?
Also if it comes does to desperation lol you can pay the experts at
https://www.oneclickroot.com/ to unbrick the device.
