I received an OTA for the new marshmallow update Android 6 on my HTC Desire EYE, after the update the mobile has become extremely slow and impossible to use, i tried factory reset and the same problem still existed.
My device seems to have the same problem. I thought it was normal wear and tear but it seems not so...
HTC desire eye slow
I have the same problem as the original rom wing back and nothing.
any solution?
I had the same problem. I thought about selling the phone because the keyboard worked me very badly , keyboard dialing numbers very bad, very slow tactile response .
I solved it by disabling an option:
Settings - Accessibility - Magnification gestures - OFF
I hope to help friends:good:

I dropped my G2 a while back and the screen cracked but still worked fine. I just got the digitizer replaced today, which I ordered on eBay and had installed locally. Everything works except for the auto-rotate function. Here is what I've tried:
Settings-->display-->auto-rotate screen is checked
I did a factory reset of the phone
The phone rotates to landscape mode ONLY when I use the keyboard
Any ideas?
Just throwing this out there but try going into Cyanogenmod settings>user interface> than scroll towards the buttoma nd see if 90 and 270 is checked. Might help and maybe try a game that uses the accelerometer to test if yours is broken? Not a expert on this kind of thing but just my advice to see if you track the source of the problem. And i am only assuming that you haev cyanogen
Thanks for the info, not rooted right now though.
Just went into Google Sky Maps and it doesnt rotate at all. Is there anywhere in settings to calibrate the accelerometer? Wondering if it's a problem with the new digitizer I got...
I've had a similar prob with 2 NIB G2's. It showed up after the OTA, Pre OTS, everything was fine, after, landscape only works with certain apps and games. I just live with it for now.
i'm bumping this. i am not rooted (yet) and have this same issue. wondering whether to do a factory reset or no...?
I purchased the Desire Z/G2 3 days ago now and I believe that the auto-rotate feature was first working on the home-screen. Now after 3 days it doesn't auto-rotate on the home-screen, but is fine with all other apps.
Is this a common problem as I feel to return the handset. I've already performed a hard reset but to no avail
Has anyone fixed this?

Desire Z or G2? The software is different, so you need to tell us which one you have.
If its the Desire Z, the Sense home screen does not auto-rotate (by design), and you are remembering it wrong (but it will rotate when you open the keyboard). Don't know about the G2, since I own the DZ.
Thanks Redpoint. I own the Desire Z, I managed to install an ADW theme and the auto-rotate feature seemed to work. So you are correct...wow my memory is alluding me.
Hi everyone,
both my wife and I own a HTC Desire (AMOLED). My wife has had the following problem for a while on her unrooted, stock-ROM Desire:
Every now and then the Handy will suddenly restart (show the HTC boot logo) when using Navigation apps. No matter if Google Maps Navigation or other navigation software. Sometimes, this happens after some seconds, sometimes after an hour or so.
No problems so far with my desire.
Last month, I rooted/s-off'ed both devices, did a full wipe and complete fresh install of all apps of both devices, both running on InsertCoin 1.1.4 now.
On this occasion, I also updated Radio ROM of both phones to 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23 (latest Version so far, I think).
Some days later, my phone now also randomly crashes on GPS navigation use. Both run stable, as long as we do not use GPS navigation.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
It's usually an overheating issue that needs HTC to swap the mainboard
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Thanks for your reply, though it's sure not what I wanted to hear (actually, what I wanted to hear is something like "push this button and your problem will be solved", but it's not what I expected .
(On overheating: The phone did never crash on other occasions when becoming warm. After a reboot, when restarting navigation, it does not crash again immediately but may work for hours...not too typical for an overheating problem, is it?)
I think I'll wait 'till spring 2012 and get some Ice Cream Sandwich thing then ;-)
You know the desire has a 2 year warranty though, right??
My husband's, maybe 7 month old, HTC desire eye is lagging severely. Response time on everything has a 3-4 second lag. Uninstalled apps, cleanmaster, soft reset, hard reset, and still the lag. Is it a faulty phone? Or are there some solutions??
Same here. I did everything possible but no avail!! Did use custom roms/ stock roms but nothing worked!!
So i got the phone a year ago it worked flawlessly until patch 9.0.11 hit it literally crippled the phone to the point where even the boot screen is slow motion.
the interesting is that all sensors work fine audio playback is perfect but video is not at all even the camera lags.
I have tried everything even sending it to one plus, they wanted 450usd to fix it.
its right now on stock everything with an unlocked boot-loader
i have a screen recording if it see below

450 USD for a 3 year old phone. ?
It isn't worth it .
If you can't live with these bugs. Buy a new phone.
Otherwise try Gcam .
Hello, I've looked at your video and I really don't see what's wrong because the whole vidoe is laggy.. Here is what I would do: you have to probably go through your apps and delete some apps which are draining a lot of memory, then you have to boot to recovery mode and delete cache there, then download app SD Maid Pro ( you can buy it or you can find a cracked version of it somewhere on the internet). Then run the app and let it auto force close and delete app cache from all of your apps (you have to change your phone language to english for this to work. I yesterday received a new update for Android 10 so maybe wait and update it to new Android and see if your problem is gone. Good luck [emoji1696]

Hi there,
I had gotten the OTA on my Mi 10T Pro some time back and since the update, I notice the screen responsiveness reduce a lot. I always missed the gesture to perform back or pull the notification status down or any other gesture.
I even notice my Capacitive Pen (fine tips) wasn't registering the touch too. Previously, it was working fine on my Mi 10T Pro.
Do you notice that too? Or it is only me?
I have the same problem with big lags on the touchscreen, or maybe big lags on the apps that freeze touchscreen changes.
I updated to 12.1.1 Global via an OTA a few weeks ago, but had to factory reset to get it working. Then it worked well, except for the very annoying lack of gesture support for non-stock launchers.
Now I get major lags scrolling through items or using swipe on the Google Keyboard. Very frustrating ,and I only hope the 12.5 update comes soon and fixes things.
Look like we are not alone.
You set to factory default fix the problem?
No, it's still lagging badly.
I had to Factory Reset to get the phone to work acceptably after the OTA to Android 11. It worked well for a couple of weeks, then started lagging badly with many apps involving a long swipe (like keyboard using swipe, scrolling through news etc) would become unresponsive after about 1/2 sec movement.
Reboots didn't seem to fix it but may have improved things for a while before returning to lag.
