Nexus 5x Root Problem! Please help! - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey!
I just rooted my Nexus 5X and everything went fine BUT everytime I turn on my phone I get a warning saying "Your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader." Why is this message popping up and how do I get rid rid of the message?

Its popping up because you unlocked the bootloader. You "get rid" of it by using THIS tool or flashing THIS.

lollipop OTA fail

Hi guys I got the lollipop OTA for my nexus ( completely stock), never tinkered with it and the OTA installed but now its stuck on "google" screen and constantly bootloops. I have done some reading and I tried to unlock bootloader via Wugfresh toolkit and normal fastboot oem method but no avail, it gets stuck on the "yes" option.
Basically I have a locked bootloader which fails to unlock, and nexus stuck in google logo, any guidance will be much appreciated. Plz point me towards the right direction. :crying:
Try to unlock the bootloader from adb with OEM unlock command. The steps are posted above the factory images on Google's dev site.
yeah I tried that and tablet gets stuck on the yes option at unlock bootloader screen and nothing happens for 20 minutes , i have to restart it. I've read around and it seems like my emmc might have corrupted. Any pointers?

Well I can only think of one thing. Buy a new nexus. There aren't any listings for the Wi-Fi version and the LTE on Swappa. However there is some other devices on Swappa.

Remove 'bootloader unlocked!' text?

Hi guys. I want to remove this warning message when i boot up my phone. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
being able to do this would be great! I tried all the fastboot commands that work on different devices to re-lock the bootloader, flashed the bootloaders again...downgrade to Android 5, uncheck enable EOM unlock in the developer options..tried fastboot commands.. all was in vain...
Any other ideas?

I don't want to relock my bootloader. My goal is just removing this message. Because if the bootloop issue happen to me, sellers will not know that i've unlocked my bootloader. So they will repair my phone for free.
please can any mod close this? Has already been asked and answered. it's not possible! Do a damn search before!
there is not mention of this as far as I sow it anyways...
If you have it then post the link here so we can see it also .
PS: under the same logic we would not try to find a root or bootloader unlock and talk about it because its not currently possible.

If your in the EU and phone is still under warranty, LG will repair defected devices regardless if BL is unlocked as its a known defect. Read this thread.

No, as the message appears before the bootanimation.

That's awful
I read about a guy saying something like changing the I-M-E-I (dont want to get banned or something) to something else, reboot and then restore it, you should have a relocked bootloader..
it sounds a bit shady but maybe this can actually work...depending on how this unlock is done.

This guy actually relocked the bootloader nice

Is there any way to force unlock bootloader and skip 14 day wait time? I tried oem unlock from developer menu and I am getting "The network is unavailable, Please check status first" error.

No der is no Oder way....ur getting dat error probably cause Lenovo servers are down....keep trying...it will eventually work..be sure to be connected to the internet..
I'm getting the same error. This is very annoying since you'll have to wait 14 days once it's working. And you have no idea when it does.
@ASP02 How often should you try?

Hello. What is the first thing we should do in this case? I'm a beginner. I do not know anything. Do you want to write step by step operations. and Are the data being erased?

Help with bootloader

Hi! I'm not so sure if I'm the right page or if we even have a right page. I'm currently using a "xiaomi redmi note 5 ai" with bootloader locked.
I was trying to unlock the bootloader using the trick where you have to have 2 mi accounts to use but something weird happened.
When I was trying to unlock my phone after doing the trick it said "Device Unlocked. No need to repeat unlock" but I checked the status of my phone in the developer option menu and it says device is still locked and secure.
Now everytime I check the phone unlock it's just the same result. Is there anyway to fix this? Or am I stuck? :crying:
Hoping for the former rather than the latter. :crying:

Can't relock bootloader

I flashed the newest stock android 10 reteu software on my phone being it has less bugs than the retus version that came with my phone. I am trying to relock my bootloader so that integrity compromised message goes away at startup and so that I can get otas but I can't. Adb won't relock the bootloader with the normal commands, I can't figure out what to do. I would appreciate any help thank you.

Unfortunately if you switch software channels you'll still get a warning if you lock the bootloader.

Thing is, I had no issue relocking the bootloader and having the message go away up until mid December, I don't understand.
Is there a startup animation file somewhere that I could get so the message would be hidden? I want to sell my phone on dcluttr and I can't send it with the unlocked bootloader message on startup.
