Help getting on track

I have a huge problem. I had a Verizon s4 that I was using on straight talk at&t. It wasn't working great. It kept getting stuck on an lte signal and not letting me send text messages, so I decided to trade someone for a T-Mobile one. When I got the T-Mobile one I decided to root it and put on a stock lollipop rom. Now it says that my sim card isn't there. Nothing i do works. I have tried flashing back to a 4.4.4. Tw rom and still nothing. I have tried to flash a modem with odin and it keeps failing. I am trying to flash back to stock with odin and it keeps failing. Please help me!
Have you tried changing sim cards?

My sim works in my moto x. The only thing maybe because I am using an adapter in the s4. I can try to use my wife's that is the actual size

Is it an original micro sim or a cut micro sim?
Recovery flashable modems don't exist for this device. You need to use Odin

I was trying to use my nano sim in an adapter first. Then I used my wife's original micro sim. Any idea why Odin isn't working?it will work to flash cwm recovery but anything else fails. I have tried multiple original firmwares and modems...

That message means you're flashing older firmware. Flash newest firmware and you should be good

I have just noticed that the imei number in the settings doesn't match the imei number that is on the sticker under my battery. Could that be why it doesn't recognize a sim? Could this have been changed while flashing roms? is there anyway to change it back so it matches?
