placing oneplus two battery into the oneplus one - ONE Accessories

I was wondering if it possible to change the oneplus one battery with the oneplus two?
I found in AliExpress a battery and it looks with the same connectors
is it possible to exchange the batteries?
uptade-
the battery is smaller but it looks that it could fit, my battery works great for now so I won’t take the risk and its glued very well (with the double sided tape)
I was afraid of doing damage to my phone
the connector looks the same so maybe it's possible if you glue the new battery so it won’t move
conclusion= not advised, better put a new oneplus one battery
you can connect the oneplus two battery but the phone doesn't show its charging
thanks to catxda and necosino

If the connectors are the same way and it isn't any wider then it should be possible
Transmitted via BACON

but is there a way to find out if it will fit inside the oneplus one or it could be bigger

good question, i am also interested, cause my battery life is getting less and less. It would be nice to know, if the oneplus two battery fits in the oneplus one. This would boost the phone a lot.

ok I ordered a oneplus two battery wish me good luck and I'll update here in a month

It would be nice to know if its possible. But as long as there are still original Oneplus One battery replacements on the marked, i woudn't risk testing it at all.

That's the spirit!

I think it should work If you compare both side by side. Credits from ifixit.

Yes you right they do seem the same I think it's the
Same battery that only was capacity improved and without getting bigger size

Also not sure but curious to know the answer

Curious too, waiting for your answer !

for just 200mah more? thats not even noticeable.
besides, the weak battery life comes from badly optimized 5.1/6.0 roms. (try 4.4 if u want battery life like on day #1)

It more for those who want to put a new battery and if there a possibility to put a little bigger battery why not, and you can't compare Android 6.0 to 4.4

And how its looks like?

Waiting your answer

got the battery!! looks the right size. Ill start the replacement soon.I will update with pictures
I have updated my first post

The battery isn't glued to the middle frame....it used double sided tape to stick the battery to the middle frame...the tape is on the right side of the battery (from Oneplus logo to the bottom)....if you want to take out the battery you need to removed it from the left side of the battery first...
last time i check the connector is slightly different...

Yes I know it's only double sided tape, but I'm not going to take my battery out, for now, about the connector can't be sure 100%,I didn't try to connect it to the phone, maybe I will try change it only in the future when my battery won't be as it used to be.

HTC One X - Bigger Batteries

After a long time waiting I heard a word from mugen batteries that , huge capacity battery for HTC is going to release soon. Any more info you know about this share it here.

The only way the battery could be "huge" is if Mugen develops an alternative design shell that replaces the original.
Here's their extended battery solution for the Sensation XL. It doubles the thickness of the phone. For every phone Mugen offers it for, it attaches where the original back cover goes. It would have to be a replacement shell on the One X.

There's no room in the One X chassis to expand the physical size of the battery so they could probably get no more than 25% more amperage in the same foot print if they went with just a more powerful than stock solution. The problem with any solution that requires opening the phone and using third party parts is that your warranty is voided.
If they offer a pogo connector solution that would be pretty cool. The only one available's pretty crappy so something high quality from Mugen would be popular.

Honestly, **** warranty if I can get an extra 25% out of my phone. Needless to say but I would jump at the chance if some reputable company comes out with a replacement internal battery for it, but I don't think it's very likely.

They put out a poll asking people if they'd want the option you described. That was in April and there's been no news since. So at least we know their working on something.

The latest news is they are going to release two version of battery , one is which doesnt increase the phone size but have higher capacity and another version is which will increase phone size and have more than 4000mah capacity.

The only way to increase capacity without the size would be to replace the battery internally with another one with a higher capacity. This of course means removing the back cover plus removing the motherboard to get at the battery connector to replace it. This isn't for the faint hearted and could cause damage to the phone in the process, not to mention invalidate the warranty. Seems odd they promote such a system to increase capacity?
Perhaps they mean, 'doesn't increase the phone size much' by having a much slimmer lower capacity increase using a back cover.

Testing the ANKER 2200maH Battery

Recently I was contacted by LapTopMate.com and asked if I wanted to test one of the new ANKER extended batteries for the GS3. As someone who has used them for quite a while in other phones I said yes.
It arrived today and now I am charging it. Will do comparison on ON SCREEN time with the Standard battery.
Thanks ANKER!!

I just saw this battery on Ebay. The price is about 25 US Dollar. I am very interested in your results!
yea. doe the 100 mha more make that much of a diff?
NFC? does that work?
I don't see any reference to NFC on the packaging. But for a spare battery, it really doesn't matter. (I've never used NFC anyway.)
I'm hoping I get about 30 more minutes of screen time out of it. Time shall tell.
Anker batteries for the Galaxy s3 doesnt have NFC, yet!
i get about 2 hours of extra battery life with this battery.
So far so good at 50%.
Nice.any good links to vendors for this battery,I would like nav but I'm not using it yet anyway.

I've been using this battery for about a week now and it's a GREAT battery (minus not having nfc). For $8.99 on Amazon its an absolute steal and it holds a charge great.
For $9 you can't pass it up.

Yes it does.
No NFC though.
I got a little over 7 hours of on screen time at 1%. Failed to get a screen capture though.
Will run it through a second cycle to see how that one goes.
Bought 2 for 16$ on Ebay. Probably only need 1, but I may just sell the extra off on craigs or something.
They'll jack up the price once word gets spread out anyway.
I too was contacted by laptop mate and received a trial Anker 2300mAh battery for my Galaxy S III.
I already own two Hyperion batteries, and compared to those, my Anker battery is fantastic! While I would estimate that the Hyperion battery gets around 60-70% of what my stock battery gets, my Anker battery gets battery life on par (if not slightly better) than my stock battery.
However, I have a couple of gripes with it... One of the plastic "tabs" that separate each of the 4 battery terminals broke off on one end. This makes it so that I have to be sure to make the plastic tab straight so that I can charge the battery while it's in my phone. Otherwise, it switches very rapidly between "charging" and "battery disconnected" (though it remains powered on). I'm not too sure how that happened, but that may have been when I was putting it on/taking it off of my Hyperion battery charger. Another gripe is that it doesn't have NFC. Then again I haven't even found an opportunity for me to use NFC besides the Paypass CC terminals (and Google wallet doesn't work on Verizon, so that's bunk anyway.)
I would definitely recommend the Anker battery, especially if they add NFC in the future. It gets great battery life on par with the stock Samsung Battery at a much lower cost, and if you can take one or two minor manufacturing defects (that are easily fixed) on the battery terminals, then there's no reason not to pick one up in my mind.

Horrible Battery Life on Moto 360(1st Gen)

Hello,
I own a moto 360(2014) and I am barely able to get more than 6 hours of battery life.
Things I have tried to do :
Factory Resetting
Paring to different phones with different android versions
Using it just as a watch without bluetooth and Wifi

Guys Please help me..
Did this just start for you?
I've owned my watch for years, and last week suddenly started having issues. I can't help but wonder if there was a software change that is causing excessive drain.

Not really no.
I've not got any software update over a year I think.
The watch was off for a while, about a month.
But since then it's got really bad.
I've faced similar issues with android phones, where wiping the battery stats makes the battery life as good as stock. If there is a way to achieve this it would be the ideal solution.
Get your battery replaced. I did mine and now Im getting full day outof it compared to half day before.

Did you go to the service centre?
or purchased the battery online and fitted it from outside?
if you did purchase online a link would be helpful
I did get this battery some time ago on ebay. Im in uk. It wasnt genuine battery but VHBW brand which for my experience is reliable.
Replaced it by myself. There is some guide on the web for doing it. Hardest thing is to get back cover without breaking it. I actually broken my one being carefull, its so fragile.
after another phone side android wear update my battery life is back to normal. Off the charger at 7 AM, and at 7 PM I still have 40% left in the tank.

yes, now on 2.7.0.177669439
I've had these issues for about a year now. No updates have made a difference for me. It's not that my battery depletes quickly though, it's that the watch powers off with plenty of battery left and doesn't come back on until charged, usually at the 50-60% mark.
It's nearly 2pm here, been off the charger since maybe 8am, still at 69% battery but I bet it'll be gone in an hour or so.
Is it possible to get a custom ROM for these in case it's a software issue?
UPDATE: couple of minutes later, at 67% it has died.....
ht tps://ww w.youtu be.com/watch?v=wl61mDJlu9E
use this guide! Its so easy to replace the battery!
I also replaced my battery but I used this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1as_h5jnBM he explains very well and some steps explained poorly in the ifixit guide are shown here detailed. The hardest part is removing the backcover without cracking it. I failed and cracked mine but battery is perfectly fine now, for the cracked backcover there are some replacements for about 20€. However I own a 3D printer and will print me a new backcover by myself, I hope it will be fine, i will provide some pictures at the end of the week just in case someone is interested

Swollen battery

Just thought I'd share with you all pictures of my wife's Note 4 with a swollen 3rd party battery.
Before I begin, I personally never had problems with the few Anker brand products I've used. As such, when shopping around for a replacement battery for her, I opted for Anker..
Early last week, she told me her phone is falling apart. The screen is separating from the body. I reviewed a few teardown videos on YouTube and, before I had an opportunity for a closer inspection of the unit, I came to the conclusion that the separation occurred due to one of two things; 1) her overcharging caused the battery to swell, or 2) the heat from overcharging has caused the adhesive to give way.
Today, I had her remove the battery cover and, low and behold, the battery is swollen pretty severe.
I told her to not charge it unless it gets below 50% and not let it go over 50% until we get her a new battery.
Do you all think it may be possible to insert a new strip of adhesive without tearing it down?

I wouldn't risk using that battery. You should just safely dispose it off. It could explode or catch fire imho

Anyone else had their display loosen at the top?

I've noticed this on my phone, and my Nan's. Both 3's, not 3T's. Both have loose screens at the top. - I can lift it up a lot. See photos.

Wonder if this is a more widespread problem, I've bought a Tudia case as it wraps over the edges of the display and holds it together, preventing it from worsening and falling apart.
Yep, i have the same issue on the top right side of the phone.

Seems to be a common issue. Wish OnePlus would approach it like apple does their "gates". But that'll never happen.

They can't even push more than one or two updates, let alone make a phone like they did during the days of the op1.

This sucks. I run LineageOS with a Locked BL, my friends and family also do with the 3 & 3T.
That sucks. If spontaneous and not from damage... it's a manufacturing defect.
&
It could be a battery failure although that battery is in the lower quadrant I think.
Especially after a year old keep an eye open for signs of swelling.
Any battery swelling is a battery failure, replace immediately.

Been an easy fix... that really sucks☹
On some phones it bulges and/or pushes out the display, on others the rear cover*.
At that point it may have already damaged the display or more.
This type of battery failure is fairly common.
Replace degraded Li's once they reach 80% on their original capacity.
Degraded Li's are more likely to fail.
Failures include thermal runaways...
*I had a failure on my 10+ recently and was luckily it didn't damage the display. The battery wasn't quit 1.5 years old.
Erratic fast charging is another sign of a failed Li.

Correct. I always charge at 2A and use Accubattery for monitoring. Unless I am in a rush, then I fast charge.
And yes, it is an easy fix, when it isn't the battery. But the displays are weak on the OP3 & 3T - and as a result, its easy to fek this up.
I once had a HTC One X bulge so badly it pulled the screen up about 2cm and broke the entire phone. Since then I've always taken care of batteries.
