So I just updated to MM, after I wiped the system and data with TWRP and flashed the new ROM with Odin and original Samsung cable.
Now I get constant freezing each 40 seconds while using the phone, and the freeze last about 2 to 3 seconds, sometime 5 or more. I didn't have this problem before with Lollipop, my phone never freeze with Lollipop. I have waited so much for MM and now I can't even type this thread because my phone already freeze more than 20 times.
I have reset data and wipe Chace couple of times, and flashed the rom again but nothing.
This is bull****, an update tend to fix things not to break them.
Any idea ?

I had the same problem dirty flashing...I wiped in Stock recovery and it works fine now...maybe residual data from wiping in twrp?

I wiped data/system/cache couple of times. My phone still freeze.
There is no leftovers from custom recovery
I haven't installed any third party app it's factory defaults, still freeze. This is annoying, I can't use my phone anymore
I would odin MM again, boot into stock recovery, and do a factory reset from there.

This is wired, maybe the fact that i wiped the system with twrp fuc ked up the mmc blocks and now i am getting freezing, or maybe it might be the cache partition because that's such a important part when it comes to functionality, i don't know what's the issue

So I tried installing a new Rom. I initially had CleanRom.
I followed the roms instructions aka wipe system twice and factory reset twice and since then, the phone just randomly reboots all the time.
Any idea of what I could do to fix this?!

Well if you didn't have any problems with your other Rom! Then I would either re- download the new one that your trying, maybe a bad download.
Or start over just wrote everything 3x, also make sure that the room is not requesting you to use a different recovery. CWM vs TWRP???

I downloaded SkyNote No Modem and tried installing. Thats when everything went bad. Then I tried Jedi and that too randomly rebooted and now back to CleanRom same thing, just random reboots
Also, I just noticed I don't have radio anymore EITHER even tough I flashed a modem. It keeps telling me when I go into mobile data setting that I need to insert my SIM Card.
Really weird..... Have no clue whats going on with it but nothing is working!
Fixed by flashing a factory rom thru Odin.

Ok I had purchased the ZL battery and have been using it since day 1, however today i got home around 11:25pm. i had put my phone on charge @ 3PM. I just finished my 3rd cycle for the battery so i'd figure its done charging as it indicated it was, and turn it on and now all of sudden constant bootloop out of nowhere.
What could have caused this? it was working just fine before i didn't change anything at all.
I'm Running Stock TW w/Saber Kernel. I had purchased the ZL battery a week ago and ever since no problems, nor did i flash anything at all. I've been on TW way before i even thought of buying the battery.
So what could have caused this to undergo a bootloop session.
I went into recovery and wiped dalvik and cache and still is doing a bootloop. Should i do a factory reset however i have no backup because i have been fine since and I've been on Stock TW figure this wouldn't happen.
This used to happen on my epic if I ever left the battery out too long. I always just reflashed either the rom or the kernel. Worst case scenario you just nandroid and restore data.

Try going into Advanced then format system, data, cache, and dalvik cache.
Then swipe to confirm and repeat this 2 more times for a total of 3 Advanced wipes
If that still doesn't help then follow the same procedure but after performing an Advanced wipe 3x go into Format Data to format your internal storage.

Seems like you already did a full stock restore. I had the same symptoms, different rom tho. Reflashing the rom without wiping allowed me to boot up normally and with all of my data is intact. FYI for next time.

running PAC ROM for the last few months, very few issues. yesterday, phone randomly reboots & stays in bootloop. I manually reboot into recovery, do a clean wipe & re-flash ROM. phone works fine until i try to restore apps/data via Titanium, the phone goes back into bootloop. figured i possibly waited too soon to restore my phone, so i held out until this morning. go to run Titanium & phone bootloops again. but this time when i reboot into recovery & try to do a factory reset, the phone reboots as soon as i select "Yes" & goes back into bootloop. Google produced nothing, help!!!! Thanks.
Reflash rom and try to determine which app youre restoring that may be causing the problem. Do you let apps auto update? Do you have backups set to rerun on a schedule?
You could also odin flash the official firmware and start over that way.

thanks for your response! I believe I found the culprint; a theme I downloaded yesterday. I was able to wipe everything except data & reboot, which caused the phone to "optomize" all of my apps. So far so good, but I'm not so sure if this is a temporary or permanent fix.
I dont auto update anything on my phone. Should I?
EDIT: spoke too soon, phone worked for about 2 hours & went into bootloop while idle. froze while deleting dalvik cache but rebooted & is back "optomizing apps". Looks like I may have to odin flash.

Dont auto update, I was just asking because if you did, it could point to a recently updated app as the problem.
It does sound to me like odin is your best option though.

Wow armond, the EXACT same thing happened to be while running Illusion. I couldn't factory reset in recovery, b/c that led to a bootloop when i pressed "yes". I wiped, cache/dalvik and phone worked for a little, had a hot reboot, and bootlooped again. By any chance are you running Ktoonsez kt747 kernel? And i eventually got it fixed thanks to Doc through ODIN. Best of luck!
So I installed Skynote 4.3 Edition RC8-1 Base followed all instructions... phone starts up fine first time but once I reboot to install the update to V8.2 it just sits at the GN 2 Logo the only way to get it to fully reboot is to do a complete re-wipe and flash again. What am I doing wrong? It does not do this with any other ROM. Phone is the AT&T GN 2. PLEASE HELP ME!
Sounds like user error sorry to say.
Imho
I haven't seen or heard anything like this in that thread.:what:
And I've been there since it started...
START over full wipe of everything 3x including INTERNAL storage...
Flash Rom 8.1 base let it sit for 10 minutes. Set it up play store etc.
TRY and reboot to recovery. Wipe C/D cache, flash update 8.2 reboot.
Let it sit again for like 5 mins. Then flash what ever add on's you'll like to add in...

Just did what you said... same thing sits at Samsung logo??
I really wish I could get this going damn it!

Im having this same issue. Ive also had this issue with another rom. Ive done every type of wipe available and it will boot once, but then on reboot it bootloops. Ive tried with and without airview.
Its nice to know I'm not the only one. I reflashed CleanROM 5.0 and no problems.

Had the same problem, never solved it, went to clean Rom
Honestly this condition is frustrating...
I went through the same issue a few months ago...but a full return to stock and re-rooting seemed to solve the issue for me ..
Mileage may vary of course ...g

Skynote has a new update and as long as you FOLLOW stated install procedures you shouldnt have any issues. Tip: using the 1click option in the skynote thread will return your device to stock from there reroot and flash your desired rom... your welcome

[Q] Phone was fine, ran out of battery, now "System Ui Has stopped" every few seconds
Hey,
Note 2 running PACMAN rom, android 4.3.
I woke up and checked it at 8am, no problems at all. Went to use it at 1pm and it had run out of battery. I plugged it into my computer to charge it, turned it on and it said "System UI has stopped. Blame Tyler" - and continues to do this every time you press OK, with about a 3 second gap in between each one.
I restart my phone quite regularly and I don't think I've installed anything that could be causing this. I've disabled XPosed but same problem. Any other ideas? Otherwise I'll have to just wipe it and start again, perhaps with CM. I need a working phone for tomorrow though!
Cheers
Maybe a silly question, but have you wiped cache and dalvik cache from recovery? If not try it.

This seems quite sinisiter - thanks for the suggestion but it hasn't worked, and it's unearthed something more concerning about the state of my phone (the TWRP messages, see below). Can't believe I didn't think to do that myself though! (I haven't messed around with ROMs for quite a while so am out of practice, I've had this one for a few months).
Delvik cache completed, then said something like "updating partition details. E: Error opening '/data/system/...." I/O Error" and various APKs - one of which was system UI. Wiping the cache again told me done, but loads of errors of similar APKs (This time in /data/data/ though). This sounds incredibly ominous though and I've never seen that error before in any of the wipes or anything I've done.
Restarted it but the system UI error messages persist. I want to wipe and install a fresh ROM but I'm worried I'm going to be left with a totally useless phone if things won't wipe or flash properly. Any ideas would be great.
If anything goes wrong u still have the option to flash a new rom through odin.

I'm currently downloading a rom to flash with odin. I tried to do a nandroid backup but the same I/O errors appeared. I have no idea what could have caused this as the phone was running absolutely fine yesterday!
try to fix permissions in recovery. On HD2 it helped in 90% of the cases

Yup. This might be the solution.
Helped me 90% of the times. Go to TWRP -> Advanced -> Fix Permissions
