My problem is, Using BT-Headsets is not possible: I can connect them and use them, but the connection seems to be bad and it´s not possible to really use it.
Is there any fix on Lollipop 5.1.1 vor Z1C?
Edit: solved. Installed an app "Xperia Bluetooth Media Fix".
Can be found in Google Play store.
Edit: unsolved: Seems I just had a lucky day yesterday. Today I´m facing the bluetooth problems again.

He posted an EDIT at the bottom of the post
I am having the exact same problem, and that terrible fix they posted on google play is a pointless joke. I have a pair of blueant pumps that work just fine with my old xperia play, I actually upgraded the Z1 compact to lollipop hoping it would fix the intermittent audio cutting-out issue. NOPE! the fix loads your Bluetooth, then kills it then loads the fix every damned time you boot your headphones, they couldn't be bothered to post a hotfix to the rom or a rom with the fix built into it? and it still doesn't fix the intermittent issues of the sound going out if I stick the phone in my khaki pants- yes super thin and it still cuts out- or even simply holding the phone by its bottom half it makes the sound cut out- perhaps my hands must be magical? or made of lead?absolutely unbearable to try and listen with BT I assume the bt module is some new type that is really weak=cheap or perhaps a newer incompatible version?.
so has no one else encountered this issue? I have searched for days with no answer other than the solution to dump this phone.

Hello xda members! I have been experiencing a strange problem with my "T-Mobile G2"'s microphone and would like to share it with you in case you had any insight on it:
My phone's microphone is not working - I cannot use voice input, music recognition services, etc. all it picks up is silence. What makes it a "strange" problem? Well, the microphone will work during calls, but ONLY IF I first snap out the keyboard and then snap it back in! Sometimes the microphone will fade out and then go silent again, at which point I'll open/close the keyboard again so that the other party can hear me again.
I thought it was software at first, but then I flashed it to stock and still had the same issue. Now I'm worried it might be a problem with the ribbon cable that connects the two halves. Have any of you ever heard of a similar problem? Any suggestions as to how I might fix it?
If it is intermittent and you reflashed then my guess would be hardware like you suggested.
Most likely you mic is loose. Does it behave the same as opening and closing if you just hit it or shake it?

Thanks for the replies, I honestly didn't expect any! Interesting thing.. I flashed MIUI yesterday and now it feels like the problem is fixed. I've noticed a slight lag before the mic responds the first few times but now it's spot on. I don't see why flashing to stock didn't fix it while flashing to MIUI did so I think it's just a coincidence and that this is still a hardware issue.
I'll try and poke around explore this more when I get more time.

Yup I did use superwipe.
Incidentally, the issue returned after 2 days of working perfectly. Doing a wipe and then installing that same ROM fresh (not a backup) did not fix it so that new most likely ROM had nothing to do with it. I'm giving up then and calling this a hardware issue, period. I guess it's a good thing that the HTC One phones are are coming out soon!
Hello,
so I'm with my 3th GNex now! with the 1st one the USB Port suddently stopped working properly. The 2nd one had a flawed display (had it for only 3 days but did notice the same problem with my 3th one)
My 3th one is okay but there is one problem: After 3 secs of any sound being played I can here a clicking/poppping sound coming from my speaker. This is very annoying when I've the normal Touchsounds on (I disabled them because of this...)
So I searched on google a bit and many users seem to have the same problem ( http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=22307 ).
It seems to be unclear if this is a hard- or software issue.
So I wanted to ask you guys do you have this issue aswell? Is there a fix for this? Hard- or software issue, what do you think? Should I again exchange my phone for a new one risking it to have a even louder clicking sound?!

I had this same issue and I can safely say its software related. If you flash Francos latest kernel he has this issue fixed. If your unrooted I'm not too sure what options you might have (apart from exchanging the device again?).

I read about the fix on francos kernel....the problem though is, that I already use his kernel...last version r110...the fix doesn't work for my phone
Weird. I don't use his nightlies, have you tried M2?

m2 doesnt even have the fix.
What's your software version? I'm on stock 4.0.2 and have no issues.

are you sure you dont have it? play any sound in a quiet room and listen closely. i only noticed it after reading about it and checking for it... shouldnt have done that. and the volume seems to vary from day to day
Nope didn't have it. Played some music tracks and listened to the touch sounds. Didn't got any clicking sounds after that.

This has been discussed at length here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1490335
Keep in mind that this happens on many devices. For the people who say they don't hear it, perhaps they don't know what to listen for or perhaps they are just lucky and their particular device isn't affected by the problem.

If that's actually the case then it must have been fixed in CM9 as I definitely had this issue.
I've been getting a weird issue on my Z1 compact these last couple of days. Whenever I get a phone call and I swipe to answer the phone keeps putting the call straight to speakerphone. It's really starting to annoy me, I've looked through the settings and can't see anywhere this could be configured, I've also tried rebooting the phone but the same issue keeps happening. Is anyone else getting this?

I've got the same problem. Don't understand what's wrong. Started maybe a week ago
Have experienced this issue couple of times. Something to do with over sensitive screen and fast swipe.
Try unlocking phone with little more pressure and little slower swipe and then lift the finger.

It's a google chrome issue, just freeze that or uninstall and install other browser and pufff all speaker problems gone

Also being discussed here:
Sony forums
I expect a Sony forum employee/troll will come along soon and suggest a factory reset
Same problem here...but not on every call.
I've had this a couple of times as well - interested if there is a fix.
I get the same problem. Mine seems to happen only on the first call after disconnecting from bluetooth car kit
I have the same problem.
It does!when i freezed chrome i never ever had that problem again

I'll try that again and report back.

Ok so the first time I tried I uninstalled updates, froze chrome but still had the issue. This time after uninstalling/freezing chrome I rebooted the phone and so far (fingers crossed) two test calls have worked ok. Will wait a few more days and report back again!
Here is a thread in Sonys support forum: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperi...es-straight-to-loudspeaker/m-p/585801#U585801
There is the recommandation: uninstall or disable chrome. But imho this can't be the solution. I don't want to quit using chrome just because Sony has a bug in their software...
If it fixes by removing an app they for sure that's not sonys fault. Chrome has the issue, Sony doesn't own chrome hence you should not blame sony for this bug.

But why i don't have this issue on my GNex or my girlfriend on her Nexus4?
Maybe this issue is caused by chrome, but it seems to be the combination chrome <--> Z1 Compact.
But if it's realy just the last update and chrome will be fixed, i will be satisfied.
But i'm not sure if google will fix chrome, just because one phone can't handle it...

Dont worry z1 compact isn't the only one having this issue.
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=348538
So I've received half a dozen or so calls since uninstalling chrome, disabling the app and restarting my Z1 compact and all of the calls have been answered without going to speakerphone, result!

See... The issue lies in chromium and WebRTC integration. When the browser is open it enables speaker mode for WebRTC but when phone activates audio process is already being used by the browser hence cannot be overriden by the phone.
UPDATE:
Ok news! Looks like HTC One 4.4 update also has this similar problem.. Although a lot worse.
Hi,
I have a problem with my Z5P Marshmallow 6.0, when i plugin IPhone headphones it doesn't recognize it! I tried with 2-3 other headphones, but nothing! Before that i flashed RomAur 4.2.1, everything was fine, and now i use Soundabout to listen to music. Is there a solution for this? I dont want to use SoundAbout, i want just to plugin and nothing else. Please help me!:crying:
this is the problem which forced me to downgrade to lollipop ! I've tried AboutSound too however it's not working automatically you have to turn it on and off every time and thats sucks and Sony also sucks when they make a huge mistake like this after updating and not only that more then 6 months maybe more there is not even a single acknowledge

It's probably a hardware problem I have to send the Z5P back to Sony 3 times in a year due to the same problem.

Why an hardware problem? Before RomAur everything was fine! I don't want to send back my Z5P, because it has no warranty and i don't want to spend money for that. Is there any solution please? :crying::crying:

Nothing to do with you installing a new rom...it's an hardware problem, the plugged headphone recognition part of the audio jack just gives up at some point out of the blue...
There is a thread about this here on xda already...
And further more here on Sony support site as well...
The only solutions are:
1 - Use soundabout to force the sound thru the jack (as it still works, only can't recognize when headphones are plugged in)
2 - Send it for repair if you can
3 - Use some wireless headphones
Mine also failed about a month ago, solution 1 and 3 work fine for me...can't use solution 2 as the Z5p was never sold here so no warranty and couldn't find a place to have it repaired...
download soundaboat apk from google play then install it after disabling smart connect then select wired headphones from list given by this app
Has anyone found a fix for the sound cutting out after a few seconds of a video or game? I have tried the soubdabout app, Turing the USB option off, disable Power save.. Still happening..

I have the same issue sometimes, I've read around the web and it seems to be a mix of software and hardware related, I read a guy suggest removing and putting back the case (in case you have one) and I did that and the sound came back, haven't had the issue again.

Hmm, I keep mine out of a case,.. Yeah I'm not sure what it is, it's a 50/50 between some say software and some say hardware. I would asume that software would of been fixed by now, either Samsung or 3rd party
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
So I found a solution for the issue in my case, it does seem to be software but it's really weird cause the issue continues in any firmware, it started when I was on 6.0.1 PI2, then I flashed Nougat and had the same problem (I hated it and battery drain was killing me) I went back to 6.0 and changed to the PK2 version and the issue continued, it was really weird cause it would cut out in audio messages, games but not music, I also tried every single suggestion on every forum and post I could find EXCEPT the Soundabout app, today I gave up, installed soundabout, selected media to speakers and bam, problem solved, I still need further testing, but it seems ok for now, keep in mind that I also have "prevent USB audio routing" on and "Easy Mute" off.

Im trying the soundabout app now, I orginally had it set to automatic and was still having the issue, now I set it to speaker and so far so good.
as this worked for me but idk about others... I was told to remove all paired bluetooth devices (on/off doesnt matter) then go to settings>connections>more connection settings>nearby device scanning then turn off... worked for me... (sorry for zombifying an old post but as this is still current with mine and many devices i decided to help)
