Thanks to the developer of COSMod, I have managed to get a working version of AudioFX!
1. Make sure other DSPs are disabled such as MusicFX
2. Flash
3. Profit!
What is MaxxAudio:
MA is a DSP like AudioFX optimised for Snapdragon equipped devices.

It does flash without an error, but doesn't show up anywhere! Can't find it in apps list nor in the system/apps folder

Cleaned flashed cm13..disabled stock audio manager. Flashed the zip but no difference in audio at all.
Tried on oos too.

Its working on AOKP if you want to try that. There is quite a difference

MaxxAudio and AudioFX are two separate things. AudioFX relies on general audio libraries where as MaxxAudio is able to utilise Snapdragon hardware for audio. It sounds a but warmer at least in my experience

Got mislead by your file's name there and assumed it would be the same, thanks for clarifying )
I can confirm it isn't working on clean flashed latest build of Purity ROM. Guess it's only working on AOKP for some reason.

This slow motion thing is related to camera HAL here http://source.android.com/devices/camera/camera.html
And moreover is proprietary of the motorola
Finally : if it was possible, our developers would have already done it.... but still I hope some day it can be ported

Same here. Successfully flashed on GPE but HDR is not working so it's not really worth using over the Google camera (which also lacks HDR on our device)

Unistall other equillizers
Just flash the zip that's all

No need of changing selinux. Works with any kernel and rom.
There is a new version that might work without editing audio config but not yet tested by me.

Not working on stock 5.0.2(De-bloated version Rooted) Tried with custom Kernel too, changed SELinux to permissive,disable Nu player Dolby Atmos open no error but no effects and it was working on CM 12.1 with Custom Kernel i have tried 6.3 and 6.5 ...

Get the logs for stock rom and give it to op. He will solve it.
I don't use stock. Sorry. Works great on custom rom.

dont want to change SElinux with latest dolby it works, not sure about ota updates...

Um.....I haven't flashed it yet, but I think it will simply prevent your current brightness settings from being overridden when the camera launches.

If you are using LeeDroid R68/69, it should come with this apk, you don't need to put it in /system by yourself.

I installed it and activated it but in Viper when I click driver status, is say it is NOT processing the sound. No settings matter. I think we need buysbox and other such mods to get it to work.. :/

The process runs only when you have music running, like a music player, Spotify etc. Viber runs good on the S9 together with the integrated Dolby Atmos.

That part I know since I have been using the sound mod with all my previous phones. However in my current case it does not process the sound that is playing trough the music player.
May I ask, what ROM are you using?

Working fine with magisk(just download module inside magisk) I use version 2.5. 0.5
Rom from soldier here on xda.

Just disable or delete module inside magisk

This module only enables dual speakers, right? I don't want any other fixes or gains to be added. I am going to install it on stock 8.1.
