A small dns issue at the moment causing some people to get webpage not found but getting it fixed.

Cool. Good idea. I didn't know your cooking website. I went through and it seems cool. I'm looking forward to try it with Hero Roms.
I saw in the app list that Zeam launcher is missing. It's a shame because for the little Hero, this lightweight Home is good to have by.
And you definitly should add a choice for the kernels.

I will add kernels,
just a little unsure on the coding for it.
If somebody know and could explain a little how i would add it sure,
Gonna go though the code and see what i can do until then.

Tried "cookmyrom.co.cc" and Fusion Rom for Hero!
But it seems there is a limit to upload own apps as zip package!
With 4 apps now problem,but If I try to upload 5 apps as zip package
I got "Error 1" and can`t download the cooked ROM.
P.S.Can`t test the ROM now,I have to go to work

That sounds strange.
Could you say what apps you are trying.

both cookmyrom.co.cc and cookmyrom.se seem to be down today ...
DNS is not resolving

[ROM ] {nand backup} [TWRP] SU640 V30C Ver 2 [02-06-2013]

Been using this rom personally for few days, but still I will not take any responsibility of something happens to your phone.
this is work in progress, and would love to get some help fix the little things left in this rom.
This is a TWRP nand backup.
You need to restore this to flash the rom.
Full wipe is a must.

This is the stock ROM v30c with following changes.
1: rooted
2: Korean stuff deleted
3: English dialer
4: sms app with 160 characters

quirks:
when you get calls, recieve/missed, there is some chinese/korean stuff. would love to remove those.
otherthan this this is one perfect rom now.

Is faster, more easier and time saving for you to change the recovery
I'm not being rude or anything is just I have a full setup and to make TWRP I have to wipe my phone. Too much work, maybe I'll so it tomorrow but not confirmed.

TWRP is better than CWM it is good for you to change recovery but it is ok if your not. Thanks for your work

I thought the current version of TWRP reads CWM backups?? Didn't they just add that feature?

i had a question, can i send more than 160 char in one msg or it will cut out?

stuck up on LG LOGO. how will i fix this?

will be doing a twrp version wait for it, iv fixed the dial tones and notification korean language. using different base
now only problem remains is sometimes when you see missed calls there is some non english charecters.

also i have made a proper zip version but after flash it doesnt show any network signals, and upto now its beyond me. dont have much experience or time so nand backups are my only option.

160 per sms, it will then either become second sms or mms. haven't checked

If the ROM comes from Korea, possibly the baseband frequencies are different there, try to flash a baseband from your zone, there is a thread around named lg nitro HD repository where you can find them

Kit Kat MIUI ROM

Found a MIUI ROM on a Russian site. It is Android 4.4.2 with MIUI v5 4.11.3. I realize it is not posted here so I figured I would post a link to the download.
I've been using it for 2 weeks now and the only issue that I have with it is that location services doesn't work on it. So you have to manually enter your location in your weather app or map software etc.
What are the rules for posting links? I've never posted one before. Don't want to break any rules

Anyone tried it yet? I don't see any comments....
Would love otthers to try it and see if they can resolve the location services issue. I found a work around for it by installing AndroiTS GPS, but I've noticed that it affects battery life significantly to have AndroiTS GPS running in the background constantly.

Gave it a try and ditched it immediately.
First of all, my language wasn't available (Dutch).
Then all sorts of chinese messages came up, one of them stating that #chinese# had stopped.
Back to bliss by Mr. Amid.

Hi mate! can you please let your kind soul give the link of the rom bliss by Mr. Amid. I've been searching for ROMS for MT1-U06 for days now. I tried carbon ROM v02 but I can't stand it anymore because of the bluetooth connecting issues and the can't move apps to SD issues. Tried searching bliss rom on this forum but there's no ROM showing by bliss by MrAmid. Thanks in advance mate! cheers!

Soul team have ported FE OREO rom to Note7，but it just works on N930F/FD.If N930S/K/L flash this rom，it just stuck in first screen and the blue light won't turn on.
Another problem，this rom is not a free rom，you can experience this rom for 48 hours，when time is out，it will lost some fuction unless you pay about 30$ to buy a patch.
I will share this rom later and hope someone else can port OREO to N930S/K/L.Forgiving my poor English:laugh:

to elaborate more my questions exactly how we delete the bloatware itself without just deleting soul_tweak
it's a shame to lose it , it have many important features control ,
so do you have any suggestions please how to edit the tweak or just removing the bloatware with removing soul tweak?

I have installed this rom since yesterday and I can say that it is yours and fluid, even if it is full of Chinese services it is good:good::good:. I am now waiting to purge my 48H tests and see how to pay the patch.
PS:I have disabled the SOUL applications and the countdown does not appear anymore

yes it still worked after removing All apps that bore the name soul (soul-tweak, soultools, etc.)

Hello! My N930K deadth after up N935k's rom via Odin. Do you have any way to revival it? ( Now it is on bootloader lever 3(N935K rom). but N930K's stock is lever 2 . So i can't (

yes I always manage to use the rom after removing the soul app. I used an application that uninstalls system applications

Hi Guys,
I have been using the OREO Rom for 1 week now and there is no problem
its fluid and fast
boot time is amazingly fast
If you want to use it full time just disable the tweaks app or uninstall it from the beginning or right after your installation and you will be fine.
I uninstalled SuperSU and now am using Magisk which is the best root method. so yes just uninstall the Tweak app and you are good to go brothers and sisters.

Hey, did you manage to get the stock firmware somehow? I've been looking for a while but no luck...

I dearly want to get rid of tcl android. Any word yet of a custom rom?

hey, my friend if you do find a way to get those img files please upload them here ive been going crazy trying to find them and so far absolutely nothing but static, very disappointing i was under the impression that this phone would be customization central any help would be extremely appreciated thank you

Many have we've all failed

I've been wanting to root my phone for sometime but I also failed so I decided to be proactive and emailed TCL Mobile Care to get the firmware or the kernel sources but they aren't cooperating with me.
You can read more on my Reddit post about it if you want.
I've filed a Violation of GNU License today and I'll figure how to report it to Google, but I doubt a single report will do much.
Hopefully it'll take us a step closer to being able to root it.
Edit: I'm a idiot the source code is at sourceforge

It's been mentioned in a post on TCL10 pro, much more active than this one and unfortutantly that flash file tool doesn't have the full firmware in it.

Unfortunately there's none at the moment. TCL is very against it and made it quite difficult to unlock the bootloader.
Since it's so difficult I've been asking daily on their twitter accounts for the past month for a way to unlock it since they just ignore everyone who contacts their mobile support asking for a way do to it.
The best I got from them so far was a "thanks for your suggestion" type of message, 2 TCL accounts blocked me but I've created more accounts to spam them.
They replied to me today but I'm skeptical that they'll do anything.

I also contacted TCL and waiting for a link to the latest firmware, they agreed after a long argument discussion to have it delivered to me at 10 days the most. Will upload the link asap. For any news please let me know, thanks
