Finally what i can work with! ^0^ - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

Finally after 3 Days of Flashing ,Reseting, erasing my phones INternal data and all that jazz
Here's what i use for the latest rom with Root + Xposed!
So here's what i"d take place in order to attempt a flash of the Xposed Framework.
I start with Pre- Downloading the files for the MM 6.0.1 Stock Rom, it's in the forums Somewhere.
TWRP ( New_S6_Spr_TWRP_MM_Bootloader2 ) a.k.a 3.0.1
(This is a special version only for the Sprint SM-G920P and is meant to be flashed with Odin)
SuperSU 2.68 a.k.a ( BETA-SuperSU-v2.68-20160228150503 )
and obviously, Odin ( Odin3 v3.10 )
XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4
xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64
xposed-v80.0-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160211
The steps that are taken place.
1st. I'd Boot my device into download/odin mode.
or
( while the device is powered off, i press and hold the home+power+volume down buttons.
and from there I'd be taken to a light blueish screen saying "Warning", and i follow through by pressing volume up)
2nd.
Once the device is in download/odin mode, and ready to go, i'd take my phone, plug it into my windows PC and open Odinv3 and from there
i'd select in odin, or i'd click the "AP" button and select the, tar file.
After that has been flashed thoroughly, I'd then proceed with the follow on screens, the 1st reboot and it updates or it says
Optimizing app 1 to 30.... the 2nd reboot where the hand free activation commences and
from that 3rd time it boots up again, i'd follow up with my login information.
3rd. once my device has been fully booted from the 3rd part, i'd then shut it down or restart it into "download mode again" and connect it to my pc again
and from there i'd load odin, and search or i'd find where I downloaded the special "TWRP .tar" or recovery file
and select the "Ap" option again and press start Afterwards.
After it flashes, right when its done i automatically hold the home+power+volume up buttons,
turn the device off and hold home+power+volume up and your should get some red text in the upper left hand corner with recovery not enforcing, that's okay dont be worried,
and from there it should boot into and be brought into TWRP...finally lol.
Now that's where you can flash SuperSU
4th. I'd leave my phone connected to my pc until, it's fully booting into twrp or i'd just connect it once im in the recovery.
I let my pc detect my phone and i'd copy both of these files.
SuperSU 2.68
and
Xposed Files
4th. After its copied, i'd go back into my phone, i tap install, and i select supersu and let it run, afterwards, i press reboot.
And let it sit for about another 2 minutes to do its own thing. Afterwards. once the phone is fully booted up.
I'd then go back into recovery, and flash Xposed and i'd wait about another 2-3-4 minutes
( don't be impatient literally i was and i ended having to wait 5-6 minutes for it to cycle and continue)
from the LTE Spectrum Screen to the, torquise colored screen where it's finally optimizing apps from 0 to 331.
5th. Once done, i'd finally have my advantage to install what i'd like which i'm doing as of right now still testing it out.
P.S if you do what i do for the SnapPrefs Module then i'd take in high note that before you flash the Xposed
to download latest Snapchat 9.21.1.0
log in, once logged in then proceed with the rest of flashing Xposed , download Snapprefs 1.6.5 to take full advantage of Snapprefs coolness.
IF you already have done it, simply, flash the uninstaller let the cycle and UNINSTALL snapprefs, then Login to snapchat, DONT UDPATE IT BTW and then reinstall Xposed and then download Snapprefs , activate the module then reboot once more.
As another note, I'm omly using this one module so far,
Because after not looking into what other modules are compatible, and after installing the modules, i rebooted my phone and it boots until it hits the LTE Spectrum screen and it has a light blueish pusling cycle and its stuck here.
Which means a whole another complete flash.
If you need any help feel free, i will try as best as i can, as i am a n00b but i have plenty of free time and have some decent knowledge about this.

good point actually thanky ou man haha never thought of that tbh x)

Unrooted note 4 change from 5.0 to 4.4

Is there a way to switch from 5.0 to 4.4 while the phone is unrooted or would I have to root it in order for that to happen? Also if I have to root what would be the best way to do so and put back 4.4?
I am totally interested in this as well any step-by-step information would be highly appreciated
I would have to say no... you can flash back to 4.4... but need root to flash

Here's a step by step procedure to downgrade, make sure you backup your internal sd card contents because it requires a data/reset on 4.4. since lollipop encrypts internal storage.
Download these 3 files.
USB (Driver) ver.1.5.45.0 ( Latest as of this post ) from samsung.com/support, search for your device SM-N910P and choose your color, and select manuals and downloads
Odin v3.10.6, from rwilco12's website, HERE
N910PVPU1ANK2 .TAR file, from ViperBoy's thread in generals forum HERE
Save these files to your desktop within a folder called Note4Downgrade makes it easier to find.
Uninstall your previous drivers like old Samsung, Kies of any versions.
open the Odin zip file, drag and drop its contents into the Note4Downgrade folder.
Open the N910PVPU1ANK2 zip file, drag and drop the .tar file into the Note4Downgrade folder.
Install the latest Samsung drivers, no need to reboot your computer.
Open the Odin3.10.6 executable file, select PDA or AP slot and load in the NK2.tar file, it'll take awhile and the Odin program will freeze as the file that its loading is ~1.8 GB's.
In the mean time while this is being loaded, shutdown your Note 4 Device and go into download mode by pressing Volume Down, Home Button, and Power Button Simultaneously.
Hold it down until it starts up into an Android Logo Firmware screen, Next Press Volume Up to continue into the next dialogue.
Once the file is loaded into the Odin program, use the original Samsung USB cable and plug it into a USB 2.0 port ( No, Not 3.0, Sometimes it can cause issues and errors, its do-able, but not recommended. )
Have the Odin Program detect your device and Windows will install the device drivers. Once this is done, a word within a blue box will state this message up top.
[COM:##]
It does not matter on what the "##" is as long as that is reading a number, meaning Odin has recognized and detected your device.
Stop here and recheck your progress.
- Latest Samsung Drivers installed ( SM-N910P )
- Odin 3.10.6 with loaded N910PVPU1ANK2.tar inside the PDA or AP slot
- Device in download mode, plugged into a USB 2.0
- Odin with [COM:##] in a box.
Proceed to clicking the "START" button if you have all of your above progresses done.
This will take around 15-30 minutes of flashing the stock 4.4 firmware, this will not tick the KNOX switch if you haven't rooted your device already as this is stock firmware.
It'll auto reboot once it is done, First time boot up will take longer as it is loading the device for the "First Time".
Once you're done, and you're on the welcome screen of the device, power it off.
Now we need to do 2 sets of resets, data factory within recovery, and an internal SD card wipe through Backup and Reset menu within settings of the device.
Now go into the devices recovery by pressing these 3 buttons. Power UP, Home Button, and Power Button.
Hold it until you see blue text at the top left corner of your devices screen stating "REBOOTING RECOVERY. . . ."
Then you can let go.
LEGEND
- Volume buttons = up or down
- Power Button = Proceed into next dialogue
From here go into the wipe data/factory and reset the device.
Once done, do a cache wipe.
and lastly, reboot the device.
Once your device has been rebooted, skip all the welcome steps and go to home, pull down the notifications bar and select the setting button up top.
scroll down to storage and unmount your Ext SD Card and take it out ( If you have one! ), now back out and go within Back up and Reset under personalizations. checkbox wipe internal Card and factory data reset again.
Once its all done it'll reboot, now you're on the latest firmware of kitkat on the note 4.
I hope this will help you as well as others wanting to stay on kitkat for any reasons they have or if they run into issues on lollipop.
Your guide, simplified!
- Spark91
Awesommmme! Thanks for taking the time Spark!
Glad I've helped out!
Very thorough guide.
bought a note 4 (sm-n910p) from eBay thinking that i can use ssu.apk to sim unlock the device. It was on lollipop.
so i thought i can downgrade to 4.4 . unfortunately while flashing kitkat using odin i got a fail message .After that phone is showing ("firmware upgrade encountered an issue ")
i tried to flash stock lollipop firmware using odin sadly now it show { THERE IS NO PIT PARTITION } error .
the device is on oe1 build

[Guide][Root] How To Root Marshmallow (SM-G920P) *Updated*

Hey guys, I decided to update the thread in hopes of clearing confusion.
Currently I've found two methods of rooting that seem to help people.
Method 1 - E.K IT Services: ekitservices.com currently run by senior member @djerick3 *Not a sponsorship*
Method 2 - CF-Auto Root: Very simple and easy to use, all you need a:
Windows PC (7 - 10)
USB Cable
Step 1 - Download CF-Auto Root for the SM-G920P.
Step 2 - Using either adb (adb reboot download) or hardware keys (turn the device off and hold in Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button once prompted, press Volume Up)
Step 3 - Plug the device into the PC and open the included Odin in the CF-Auto zip
Step 4 - Click the "AP" button and choose the included md5 file
Step 5 - Make sure to check the "Option(s)" tab and make sure only "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" are checked. Then switch back to the main tab and press start.
Step 6 - Wait as CF-Auto Root will begin to boot and root, note that the process can take while. Upon rebooting you should have the SuperSU app (Note. If its not there, you can find it HERE)
Step 6 - Enjoy
< ----- Optional - TWRP Install ------ >
As of right now, current TWRP releases are not working on marshmallow. Lucky though @ram9200 created a custom version of the tool that should work
Step 1 - Download the TWRP Tar file
Step 2 - Boot back into Odin mode and flash via Odin on your PC (use the "AP" tab once more)
Hope this helps:good: as always though, of you need help feel free to to send me a PM

Hey guys, after all the confusion on rooting 6.0.1, I decided to throw together a guide real quick (hope this helps)
To do this, you will need:
TWRP (This is a special version only for the Sprint SM-G920P and is meant to be flashed with Odin)
SuperSU 2.68
Odin
Steps)
1) Boot your device into download/odin mode (adb reboot download) or (while the device is off hold home+power+volume down then you will be taken to a light blueish screen saying "Warning", just press volume up)
2) Once your device is in download/odin mode, plug it into your windows PC and open Odin then in odin, click the "AP" button then find where you downloaded the TWRP .tar and press start
3) After that, your device should reboot into the system, if present use "adb reboot recovery" if you don't have adb, turn the device off and hold home+power+volume up and your should get some red text in the upper left hand corner then you should be brought to TWRP where you can flash SuperSU (to get SuperSU onto your device, you can use TWRP's built in MTP function or use adb, I recommend using adb but TWRP's MTP is also good (to enable MTP, click on the "mount" button then make sure to tap the "Cache","Data" and "System" buttons, if your PC does not detect the device, tap "Disable MTP" then tap "Enable MTP". Then your device should be detected where you can then move SuperSU to your device and flash it,

Help
Same issue here. when recovery is booted. blue update screen then original recovery. OEM is on
---------- Post added at 05:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:39 AM ----------
im getting the blue updateing as well. then goes to original recovery/ OEM is on
unchecked the auto reboot and followed directions and am now rooted. Thanks!
This worked for me! Thank you so much!
A few modifications to the overall guide:
a. Turn on OEM unlock (I forgot to do this first)
2. Turn off auto-boot in ODIN (I needed to do this, as TWRP would not load the first time)
d. Move SuperSU zip folder to phone (same as other methods)
Now just need a good custom ROM...
I unchecked auto-boot in Odin and turned on OEM unlock, but it isn't working. I boot into download mode and apply the TWRP, but it is just stuck in download mode with the white bar at like 99% complete. It doesn't hit 100%. I forced my phone off and then booted into recovery right after and now my recovery mode is a white screen. Not really sure what to do.

I was curious since it said Sprint only method but assured it rooted my us cellular just fine and everything is working. Rebooted and still have root and working twrp recovery. Thanks again.

Rooting the P607T (T-Mobile Version)?

I just got the P607T version and i tried searching for the specific version threads but i didnt have any luck.
i have 4.4.2 id like to root and possiably update to the latest KK or LP while keeping the samsung progs (like multi window) and hopefully keep T-mobile sim support?
-thanks
bump?
Just got my hands on a P607T on 5.1.1 today. My coworker was getting an iPad and wanted to trade the Note in for like $37 in store credit! Can you believe that? I managed to score a great little companion tab for my Note 4 for next to nothing!
Anyway, I hopped on XDA and was a little overwhelmed by the various models of this tablet, and unfortunately found little mention of the T-Mobile variety. After reading through several posts (and being pretty familiar with rooting other Samsung devices) I figured I'd give something a go, hoping that if I mucked the tablet up I could just ODIN the stock firmware.
After doing what I listed below, I appear to be rooted (according to Titanium Backup), and root sticks after a reboot. However, TWRP does not stick. This isn't a problem for me, as I'm content with the stock rom, but it begs the question as to whether I could've just ODIN'ed CF Auto Root and been done with it. If that's the case you can skip everything I did further down and just:
1. Download latest CF AutoRoot from here (https://download.chainfire.eu/551/C...F-Auto-Root-lt03ltetmo-lt03ltetmo-smp607t.zip) to your PC and extract the contents of the zip file.
2. Reboot your tablet into Download Mode. I was able to do this by restarting the tablet and holding the Home button and Volume Down button as it rebooted. Press Volume Up when prompted and the tablet should show the green android along with "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!"
3. On your PC, open the folder you extracted from the CF Auto Root download. Inside this folder, you will see the ODIN application. Run it as Administrator.
4. From this ODIN window, click "AP" and select the CF-Auto-Root file that is in the same folder you just ran ODIN from.
5. Connect your tablet which is in Download Mode to your PC. When you see the window under ID:COM in ODIN turn blue and show something like "0:[COM3]", click Start.
5. Let it do its thing. You should see the magic happening on your tablet as CF Auto Root is installed, and then the tablet should reboot and you should be rooted.
However, this isn't exactly how I did it, so I'm listing all of my steps here and you may proceed as you see fit:
1. Download latest ODIN from here (http://odindownload.com/download/) to your PC and extract the contents of the zip file.
2. Download latest TWRP here (https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxynote1012014qcom.html) to your PC.
3. Download latest CF AutoRoot from here (https://download.chainfire.eu/551/C...F-Auto-Root-lt03ltetmo-lt03ltetmo-smp607t.zip) to your PC and extract the contents of the zip file.
4. Reboot your tablet into Download Mode. I was able to do this by restarting the tablet and holding the Home button and Volume Down button as it rebooted. Press Volume Up when prompted and the tablet should show the green android along with "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!"
5. On your PC, open the folder you extracted from the latest ODIN download and run the application as Administrator. Click the "AP" button and select the TWRP file you downloaded.
6. While your tablet is in Download Mode, connect it via USB to your PC and you should see the window under ID:COM in ODIN turn blue and show something like "0:[COM3]"
7. Before you click Start in ODIN, be ready to immediately hold down Home and Volume Up on the tablet. Click Start in ODIN and immediately hold down the Home+Volume Up key combo on the tablet for 10 seconds. If done correctly, the tablet will reboot into TWRP after about 30 seconds. (Note: I read this in another thread, and it's intended to keep the tablet from overwriting a custom recovery with the stock recovery when rebooting. Again, this ended up not working for me, as TWRP did not stick after reboot, but I did it as part of this process to get root, which seems successful, so I'm including it here.)
8. Reboot the tablet to System from TWRP. Reboot back into Download Mode. If you haven't already, disconnect the tablet from your PC.
9. On your PC, open the folder you extracted from the CF Auto Root download. Inside this folder, you will see another ODIN application. Run it as Administrator.
10. From this ODIN window, click "AP" and select the CF-Auto-Root file that is in the same folder you just ran ODIN from.
11. Connect your tablet which is in Download Mode to your PC. When you see the window under ID:COM in ODIN turn blue and show something like "0:[COM3]", click Start.
12. Let it do its thing. You should see the magic happening on your tablet as CF Auto Root is installed, and then the tablet should reboot and you should be rooted.
Again, your experience may vary with this. I took a gamble and gave this a shot and I appear to have root according to Titanium Backup, which has been a pretty reliable indicator in the past. I may run into problems down the line. If so, I'll update.

Unlocking your phone doesn't change much
ROOT:
Get these files first: Samsung USB Drivers, TWRP, SuperSU, and ODIN (select version 3.12.3). Extract ODIN.
Next, make sure OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging is turned on in the developer settings (go to settings -> about device -> build number and tap it 7-8 times)
Boot your s6 egg into download mode by turning your phone off, and holding down power button + home button + volume down button. Plug your phone into your computer. Open up Odin, and put the TWRP tar file into AP. Press Start, and as soon as PASS shows up, your device should reboot.
Move the SuperSU zip onto your device, and then turn off your phone.
Now boot it into recovery (power+home+volume up and hold), and TWRP should load up. Select Install, and navigate to where you put the SuperSU file. Tap on it, and swipe to flash the file. After it runs through, reboot your phone by selecting reboot from the menu. It may boot several times, but you should be good to go. This root method works 95% of the time ( I used it and it's good)
If you want to flash a custom kernel and/or ROM, go to their respective XDA threads for specific instructions.
sir thanks for the reply one last question. I'm using other carrier, specifically i'm not in the United States, i can well use my phone like an unlocked one. Is there a chance that if i mod this one it would lock itself? thanks

SIM Unlocks are specific to a device, not it's operating system. Flashing a custom ROM will not remove the SIM lock. You world have to either use the T-Mobile device unlock app or use another application to network unlock your device.
hands down easy to follow rooting sir! thank yoso much for the help. just to verify what custom rom are you using? if any

Hey Guys Im Back! Thank you for the support and how it blew up. I have tested this on Android 10 UI 2.0 and it works better then ever!
Also installed lineage os : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a10/development/rom-lineage-os-a10-a105f-t4078093
So i tried using afaneh92's tutorial which will be linked here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a10/how-to/magisk-root-galaxy-a10-series-t3963822
Which lead to me bootlooping or softbricking and my storage was reduced from 32 gb to 16Gb so i decided to work on my own method!
Credits go to afaneh92 for the Twrp!
BEFORE YOU START YOU SHOULD HAVE
1.Samsung Drivers installed
2.Odin Installed
3.7zip Installed
4.A data transfer cable
5.A Proper working brain
If you have all of those lets start!
A: Phone settings
1.Go in settings>about phone>software information>build number tap that 5 times until it says "You are a developer now" then you will have Developer options unlocked
2.Then go in developer functions and find OEM unlocking tick that on scroll down until you see Usb Debugging and tick that also Disable Auto Updates option
B: Download TWRP and 2 other important files
1.Dial *#1234# and it will show the AP and some others, focus on AP paste it on google and get the download for it
2.After downloaded move the AP to your download folder in your android device
3.You will get a magisk_patched.tar after its been offically converted
4.Get the twrp for a10
Download the twrp file here : https://mega.nz/#!OU1WhSDZ!vQz5K1wpqBhg0hCD59aziaHPxFlUsT_2WG8SgT8p6iY
5.After you got everything open the .tar archive and extract vbmeta.img, boot.img and you should already have recovery.img on your Desktop
6.Grab all the 3 .img files and archive them into a .tar using 7zip, Now continue to step C,
C :Unlocking The Bootloader and Getting Into Download Mode (THE PART WHERE YOU RESET YOUR PHONE)

3.Press start and let it do its thing
4.After your Phone has rebooted you oficially have TWRP installed

What happens if something goes wrong.
1.SV Error Device 1 library 0 - You installed the wrong firmware look for the right firmware. To check go in recovery mode and look at the A105XXXXXX and then look for a download. Remider AP->AP BL->BL CP->CP HOME_CSC->CSC
2.vbmeta.img error - you have the wrong vbmeta.img file. Redownload the original firmware and take out the right vbmeta.img next time you try flashing. Reminder AP->AP BL->BL CP->CP HOME_CSC->CSC
3.A blue screen telling you to use samsung switch emergency update. That wont work so just flash the original firmware and try flashing twrp again.

If you have issues during the process send it in the comment ill try to respond as fast as i can!
i notice thread title says exynos only.. u do know they are all exynos including a102u and a102u1 right?
Oh. Alright thanks for telling me.
Press on app? I have nothing in odin saying that, do you mean ap?
Edit: guess not....i'm bricked, stuck on galaxy logo, device not recognized by pc, holoding power button wont force reboot, nothing lol.
Edit2: can force reboot holding volume down and power but instantly stuck on logo again, cannot power off or enter download, nothing...bricked. Followed this guide to the letter. I assumed when you said app in odin you meant ap since there is no app button. My bootloader unlocked then I went to flash in odin the tar i made with patched boot and vbmeta, along with recovery linked. I used matching firmware to what my A10 has also. Would not mind if i could get back into download mode, but that looks impossible now.
Edit3: Managed to get download mode but had to be so quick...hopefully I can reflash stock now.

Be cause you modified the firmware ignore that message
have you fixed the storage reduced to 16gb problem?
I have a Samsung galaxy sm-a10. I've tried everything here, even combination files. The error I ALWAYS get is 'failed flashing ROM... OEM lock'
Of course I have unlocked OEM in developer options, but still I get this error in the bootloader.
Any ideas?
