Need help rooting UN/BL D5503 - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I am sure you get a lot of these posts. I have searched the forums and can't find the straight forward noob answer I require..
I have managed to unlock my bootloader on my D5503 / 14.6.A.0.368 Android version 5.1.1
I have tried to follow these instruction found Herebut I am confused.
Download and install the latest Flashtool
Run XperiFirm (comes pre-bundled with the Flashtool) to download the latest FW.
Download [UB ONLY] [kernel] Root, init.d support, Recovery & Busybox for 14.6.A.0.368

I know I need to use flash tool but it also says I have to use XperiFirm to DL the latest firmware. I am Australian if that helps..
Could someone please explain what exactly I need to do to root my phone.
Thanks

.368 is not the latest anymore. If you have Flashtool, open it, and click on the 'XF' logo at the top to open Xperifirm then find firmware and download and flash. You don't have to use Flashrool with unlocked BL. You could install recovery and flash a prf instead, or use a custom rom.

Exactly what do you need? Root?
Well tellme:
1) is your device's bootloader unlocked?
2) Do you have a custom kernel or the stock one? Which one?
I'll help you if you answer the 2 questions. Greetings

Just flash the latest ftf file with flashtool. Check the Dev forum for latest stock ROMs. If it's a R800i, the ROMs you want are probably Hong Kong Generic 4.0.2.A.0.58 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1375678 or North America Generic 2.3.4 4.0.2.A.0.42 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326459

Yes, that's the downloads in those threads linked. Bare in mind this will wipe your device, so you'll want to do a backup first if you want to save anything
Hey just to let everyone know this method works perfect although lost root ?

Xperia Acro IS11S Stock Kernel....Anyone???

Does anyone have or can possible find a stock kernel for the Xperia Acro IS11S?
I downloaded Doom's custom kernel and it knocked out my phone's service, so I now have no phone!
Any help at all would be vastly appreciated......its urgent!
Use google.
I think (99% sure) that no one from here, and no one on xda dont have that kernel.
Sory mate, you are by your self :/

Its a Jap version, So you might find the Stock Kernel on a Japanese site.
I haven't seen those in XDA.
Download the Firmware, Its in FTF format and Extract it with 7Zip, You will find the Stock Kernel (Kernel.sin) file inside. Flash it in Fastboot mode.
I can send FTF file for you or you can download WOTAN (it is free) an flash your device.
I've also need an original firmware for acro with kernel and system. If anyone can point me in the right direction i will be very grateful because i managed to brick my acro. Thank you so much

I Have 1 Sock Kernal Backed Up..
Android Version 2.3.4
Build Number is 4.0.1.B.0.112
If there's still a need for this,
As I cannot post links or sites, here are almost a site from where I downloaded and flashed mine:
Site:
arkdroid.info/xperia002/
the file is : IS11S_4.0.1.B.0.112_KDDI.ftf
But I tried after flashing the Doom's arc custom kernel and the mobile has some bugs after flashing the original even with the original kernel flashed.
Mine, it doesn't work well the 1seg and SD card doesn't mount...
Trying to figure out a way to fix it...
If someone finds, please tell me.
Thanks

Search around the forum, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of different FTF files available. Go and look for the one that you need.

Hi Everyone posting here after a very long time
So i was recently on sammobiles website to check for any latest stock firmware for my belowed NOTE 2 GT-N7100 and found that i am running an older version and a new update is currently available with following details

there a prerooted stock roms, but you can do it quickly by flashing new rom, then flash recovery, root and that's it.
Use Odin and it will take no longer than 10min

[Q] another noob question

hi everybody,i just bought a z1 compact and allow me some questions cause i m a little confused
1what is the best way to root it and stay with unlock bootloader?
2how can i install custom recovery?
thanks in advance.
Well first of on what firmware are you on? From what I know only v108 KK can be rooted without unlocking bootloader. As for custom recovery look for Nut's recovery for z1c here http://nut.xperia-files.com/

It will probably be on KitKat version. You can follow the guide from here to root KitKat and maintain root on Lollipop.
or use pc companion and update os. After root and install recovery new releases.

Questions about unlock with MM to flash custom rom

I have been reading this forum for several weeks.
My goal is to install cyanogen13.0 but unfortunately my research did not allow me to clarify several issues ...
I know you can tell me to go read and search but I have done that ... made questions on some topics ... but I still have doubts.
If someone can help me:
- Unlock bootloder
I have last MM version (4.21.40.223) how can i unlock bootloder? with the official asus app? In that case i have to downgrade to Lollipop?
Can i use this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ze...nfone2-android-6-0-beta-unlock-t3411264/page4
with 4.21.40.223?
- Twrp
Can i use 3.0.2 to flash custom rom´s?
I read that is not possible
