In the phone took a deep discharge of the battery, the phone or brick, phone must pay for service
This happened with me few days back... I managed to restart it after few minutes of charging and by holding power button for some 20 to 30 seconds... My phone was fully discharged
(1 option) рress the volume 2 buttons!!! and the power button!!! and hold for a long time!!!, (2 option) connecting to PC phone,(3 option) or from the charger!!!,1 and 2 and 3 option changing options!!!,or (1 option) without connection

strange problem.go to service center, seems your problem is hardware based so.
Hi guys,
my phone just restarts today without any special hint of why it happened. Now it is in a bootloop with a restart every 7 seconds. I also cant get into fasboot because the phone automatically reboots in a too short period I used the CM10.2 unofficial now for 3 days without any problems.
Is there any way to get out of the loop? My phone was fully charged an hour ago so should last for the next 12 hours sad that i cant pull out the battery to turn it off.

Its a Hardware Problem. I think. You have the Problem after your battery was empty?! Right?

Well that makes no sense I think. There were no problems before with the battery. Im also unable to navigate through bootloader with the volume keys. It seems it automatically pushes the power button all the time.
No I charged it to 100% this morning. No problems at all with battery life.
Is there really no way to turn the phone off? Well, bad bad HTC

Is the power button physically damaged and being depressed constantly? You may have to open the phone to take a look, or try GENTLY tapping the top-right corner off a hard surface.
All else failing...if you cannot reach bootloader or do anything practical with the phone, you will have no choice but to seek repair.
The power button is ok. I open the hox and i see no damage.
When you diconnect charger the hox turn off and dont Boot again. Right?

Now the HOX is empty. When I plug back in the charger the phone automatically starts bootlooping again.
The HOX does bootlooping ALL the time no matters if there is sth. plugged in.
The power button is not damaged. I dont want to open the case cause its glued and there is a risk to brake the display.

Yep I think so, too. So wainting until monday and sending it in for repairs -.-
Have you tried getting into fastboot by
Adb reboot fastboot
While it was bootlooping? It may pick it up and actually boot into bootloader. I'm not sure if you need acces to fastboot for this its worth a try

It is the power button that is constantly pressed. The circuit is disorted by water or something. I had the same thing.
If you open your HOX, wait till the white boot screen shows up, and then disconnect the power button flex cable, it boots normally. You can buy a replacement part for only a few dollars on eBay.

Some litte paaam paaam paaam on the button on the table and phones started good its no iphone otherwise the display would have been broken
Greets from Germany btw
So the problem was solved. have taken a different charger. and now comes the hox again.

Plug it in to charge for a while (1 hr or so), then hold down the power button + volume up for 20 seconds or so and see if it comes back to life.

Flashing red led means battery is dead, needs charging.
Try a different charger.

okay i got my friend's charger and when i plugged it in it showed a picture of battery charging, i guess this is a good sign. Idk how it worked even though both chargers have an output of 5V and 2.5A... anyways thank you all
Maybe bad usb cable. The HTC charger should be 1.5a not 2.5a.

afaik it doesn't make a real difference. The phone caps it's limits at its max level so its no problem to use a charger with a higher amperage like 2,5
I was using my phone normally , when it was at 1% , i put it to charge but after an hour it was still on 1 %.
So i let it discharge to 0%.
So now when i'm connecting it to charge , there is just orange light turning on and off again , with a charging symbol on the screen.
It has been so for a very long time now. The phone isn't under warranty . I'm really tensed.
What should i do ?

How long u had the phone it might need a new battery
Hi,
My uncle gave htc one m8 as a gift to me. He had bought it from Dubai. I have Started the mobile and filled all the personnel information to set up software. After that software update had come and it is downloading the update it is downloading slowly so i went outside i came back to home and checked my phone it was off i thought the charging is over and kept the charging but red led notification is not blinking after that i switched on the phone but phone doesn't start. The next day i went to the HTC authorized service centre and we have expalined the problem to them they said its a major problem but they are not saying the exact problem to us. and also we cannot send to service because it is dubai's model pls help me what do now...... Please help.............
First step would be to try another charger and cable.
If it still won't charge, it's likely the mini USB port or some other hardware issue.
try hard restart by holding the volume up until it restarts (maybe it will work)
do you feel the heat from your device or be in totally dark place do you see your screen bright?

You need to hold vol up and power for this to work, not just vol up.

I would suggest keeping it on the wall charger (not connected to PC) for several hours. Then try to power on again, or the button combo I gave above, as well as power+vol down.
